Innovative Approaches Adopted by Government Pakistan The National strategy of Pakistan is to focuses on genetic improvement of breeds of livestock, increased development of feed and fodder resources by establishing feed mills ; eradication of diseases; state of the art slaughter houses; improved storage and processing of livestock products; access to markets and investment in infrastructure; automation of milk collection and establishing chilling and milk powder units through local dairy cooperatives , increasing efficiency, transparency, and fairness; procession and preservation of milk, and preventing spoilage; improvement in marketing of livestock and livestock products; extending credit especially to women for livestock development and for this purpose Pakistan has specified PKR 184 Million in its annual budget of 2008-2009

10. Conclusions Keeping an Eye on the fact and figures presented above we can see that Pakistan Livestock Sector has a Great potential and Contribution towards Economy . The need of the time is to educate people more and more and making them realize to take Livestock as there core business rather only keeping it as a byproduct of Agriculture. More and more incentives in shape of Tax cuts and entrust free loans should be provided to the people who perform R&D in the Sector, so that we might enjoy the full fruit of this Potential Sector.
