1 The Resurrection
Muslims must believe that Allah will resurrect all the dead for their Judgement

Sahih International: They will say, "O woe to us! Who has raised us up from our sleeping place?"
[The reply will be], "This is what the Most Merciful had promised, and the messengers told the
truth." [ SurahYasin 36, Ayat 52 ]

1.1 Proof from Qur’an &Sunnah

1.1.1 Direct Mention

Sahih International: Those who disbelieve have claimed that they will never be resurrected. Say,
"Yes, by my Lord, you will surely be resurrected; then you will surely be informed of what you did.
And that, for Allah, is easy." [ Surah At-Taghabun 64, Ayat 7 ]

1.1.2 Observation

Sahih International: So observe the effects of the mercy of Allah – how He gives life to the earth
after its lifelessness. Indeed, that [same one] will give life to the dead, and He is over all things
competent. [ SurahAr-Rum 30, Ayat 50 ]

1.1.3 Affirming Allah’s Power, Knowledge &
    Wisdom

Sahih International: Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. The Day when secrets will
       be put on trial [ Surah At-Tariq 86, Ayat 8 - 9 ]

Sahih International: Then did you think that We created you uselessly and that to Us you
       would not be returned?” [ Surah al-Mu'minun 23, Ayat 115 ]

Sahih International: Say, "He will give them life who produced them the first time; and He is,
       of all creation, Knowing." [ Surah Ya-Sin 36, Ayat 79 ]

1.1.4 Sunnah

The Prophet (saw) said, “All of the human will disintegrate except for his tailbone. From it he
was created and from it he will be resurrected” [ Sahih al-Bukhari& Muslim ]
“Then Allah will send a rain like sperm of men, and the people will come out of their graves
    like a plant grows.” [ al-Hakim, at-Tabarani ]

2 The Blowing : as-Soor
Blowing of the Trumpet is the role of the Angel Israfeel.

2.1 Interval Between Two Blows
Abu Hurairah (ra) said that the Prophet saw) said, “ What is between two blows is forty.” Abu
Hurairah was asked whether that meant forty days, months or years, but he refused to answer.

2.2 Opinions
   1. Majority say it will be blown 3 times
   2. Some say 2 times
   3. Qadhi ‘Iyaad says 4 times

2.2.1          As-Soor :: Three Times :: Majority Opinion

Al-Imam at-Tabari reports in his book of tafseer the hadeeth of Abu Hurairah (ra) in which Prophet
saw) said, “ The Trumpet will be blown three times. The first one is the Blow of terror, the second is
the Blow of Death and the third is the Blowing of Resurrection to stand before the Lord of the
Worlds. Allah will command Israfeel to blow the first blow and will say, “ BlowNafkhat al-Faza,” so
all in the heavens and the earth will be terrified except those whom Allah saves. The Abu Hurairah
asked, “Who are those meant in the ayah, “And [warn of] the Day the Horn will be blown, and
whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth will be terrified except whom Allah wills. And
all will come to Him humbled. [SahihInternationa; Surah An-Naml 27, Ayat 87]“ Prophet (saw) said,
“These are the martyrs. That terror will fall upon all the living, and martyrs are alive with their Lord,
but Allah will save them from that terror.” The Allah will commandIsrafeel to blow the Blow of
Death by saying “Blow Nafkhat as-Sa’q”, and all that is in the heavens and the earth will die.

Sahih International: And the Horn will be blown, and whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on
the earth will fall dead except whom Allah wills. Then it will be blown again, and at once they will be
standing, looking on. [ SurahAz-Zumar 39, Ayat 68 ]

6|Page
2.2.2      As-Soor :: Two Times :: Minority Opinion

This opinion considers the “Blow of Terror” and the “Blow of Death” as one.
Sahih International: And the Horn will be blown, and whoever is in the heavens and whoever
is on the earth will fall dead except whom Allah wills. Then it will be blown again, and at once
they will be standing, looking on. [ Surah Az-Zumar 39, Ayat 68 ]
The hadith of Abdullah ibn ‘Amribn al-Al’As, “And then the Trumpet will be blown. The first
one who hears it will be a man repairing his water basin. As soon as he hears it he will die
and then all other will die. Then the Trumpet will be blown again, and they will all be
resurrected, looking around.” [ Mentioned by al-Qurtubi ]

2.2.3      As-Soor :: Four Times :: Minority Opinion

This opinion is of al-Qadhi ‘Iyad
The first will kill everything that is alive at the time. The second will resurrect everyone.
Then will come Nafkhat as-Sa’q, which will cause everyone one the Land of Resurrection to
die [fall unconscious]. The fourth blow will raise everyone.
The Prophet (saw) said, “ Peopleyus’aqoon (will die / fall unconscious) and I will be the first
to get up. I will see Musa(a) holding on to the Throne. I will not know whether he awoke
before me, or whether he was spared the Sa’qah because of the incident at at-Toor.” [ Sahih
    al-Bukhari ]

5 Intercession
Qatada related from Anas that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Allah
will gather people on the Day of Rising like that and they will say, 'We should look for someone to
intercede with our Lord to relieve us from this place where we are!'

They will go to Adam and say, 'You are one whom Allah created with His hand, to whom His angels
prostrates and He taught you the names of all things. Intercede on our behalf with your Lord to
relieve us from this place where we are!' He will say, 'I am not worthy of this task,' and he will
mention his error and say, 'Go to Nuh. He is the first Messenger that Allah sent to the people of the
earth.'

They will go to Nuh and he will say, 'I am not worthy of this task,' and he will mention his error and
say, 'Go to Ibrahim, he friend of the All-Merciful.'

They will go to Ibrahim and he will say, 'I am not worthy of this task,' and he will mention the errors
he made. 'Go to Musa, a slave to whom Allah gave the Torah and to whom He spoke directly.'

They will go to him and he will say, 'I am not worthy of this task,' and he will mention the error
which he made and will say, 'Go to 'Isa, His slave and messenger, His word and spirit (ruh).'

They will go to 'Isa and he will say, 'I am not worthy of this task, Go to Muhammad, a slave whose
past and future wrong actions Allah has forgiven.'

They will come to me and I will go to ask permission from my Lord and permission will be given to
me. When I see my Lord, I will fall down in prostration and He will leave me as long as Allah wills to
leave me. Then I will be told, 'Raise your head, Muhammad. Speak and it will be heard. Ask and you
will be given. Intercede and intercession will be granted.' I will lift my head and praise Him with
praises which my Lord will teach me.

Then I will intercede and He will fix an amount for me and I will let them into the Garden. Then I will
return and when I see my Lord, I will fall down in prostration and He will leave me as long as Allah
wills to leave me. Then I will be told, 'Raise your head, Muhammad. Speak and it will be heard. Ask
and you will be given. Intercede and intercession will be granted.' I will lift my head and praise Him
with praises which my Lord will teach me. Then I will intercede and He will fix an amount for me and
I will let them into the Garden. Then I will return and say, "O Lord, only those remain in the Fire
whom the Qur'an has held and for whom being in it for ever is obliged."'

The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, 'Anyone who said, "There is no god but
Allah" and has the weight of a grain of barley of good in his heart will come out of the Fire. Then
anyone who said "There is no god but Allah" and has the weight of a grain of what of good in his
heart will come out of the Fire. Then anyone who said "There is no god but Allah" and has the
weight of a small ant of good in his heart will come out of the Fire.'"[ Bukhari ]

13 | P a g e
Prophet (saw) said, “Al-Madeenah is better for them if they only knew. No one will leave it [due to
not desiring it ] without Allah replacing him with something better than he. No one will be patient
despite its difficulties, but that I will be an intercessor [or witness] for him on the Day of
Resurrection.” [ Muslim ]

5.1 What are the Intercessors ?
   1) All the people will brought forth before Allah
           a. SahihInternational:And the heaven will split [open], for that Day it is infirm. And the
angels are at its edges. And there will bear the Throne of your Lord above them, that
Day, eight [of them].That Day, you will be exhibited [for judgement]; not hidden
among you is anything concealed. So as for he who is given his record in his right
hand, he will say, "Here, read my record! Indeed, I was certain that I would be
meeting my account."So he will be in a pleasant life –In an elevated garden, Its [fruit]
to be picked hanging near. [They will be told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what
you put forth in the days past." But as for he who is given his record in his left hand,
he will say, "Oh, I wish I had not been given my record And had not known what is my
account. I wish my death had been the decisive one.[ Surah al-Haqqah 69, Ayat 16 –
               27 ]
   2) Book of deeds will be given out
           a. Sahih International: And [for] every person We have imposed his fate upon his neck,
and We will produce for him on the Day of Resurrection a record which he will
encounter spread open.[It will be said], "Read your record. Sufficient is yourself
               against you this Day as accountant."[ Surah al-Isra 17, Ayat 13 – 14 ]
           b. Sahih International: But as for he who is given his record behind his back,He will cry
               out for destruction[ Surah al-Inshiqaqa 84, Ayat 10 -11 ]
   3) Asking & Judgement for deeds that were recorded in their books
           a. Sahih International: On the Day when Allah will resurrect them all and inform them
of what they did. Allah had enumerated it, while they forgot it; and Allah is, over all
               things, Witness.[ Surah al-Mujadilah, Ayat 6 ]
           b. Sahih International: So that Allah will recompense every soul for what it earned.
Indeed, Allah is swift in account.[ Surah Ibrahim 14, Ayat 51 ]
           c. Sahih International: And whether We show you part of what We promise them or
take you in death, upon you is only the [duty of] notification, and upon Us is the
               account.[ Surah ar-Ra’ad 13, Ayat 40 ]
   4) Will all creation be judged
           a. Sahih International: Then on that Day none will be asked about his sin among men or
               jinn. [ Surah ar-Rahman 55, Ayat 39 ]
           b. Sahih International: He said, “I was only given it because of knowledge I have.” Did
he not know that Allah had destroyed before him of generations those who were
greater than him in power and greater in accumulation [of wealth]? But the criminals,
about their sins, will not be asked. [ Surah al-Qasas 28, Ayat 78 ]
           c. Sahih International: Indeed, they who conceal what Allah has sent down of the Book
and exchange it for a small price – those consume not into their bellies except the

Fire. And Allah will not speak to them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify
them. And they will have a painful punishment. [ Surah al-Baqarah 2, Ayat 174 ]
           d. Sahih International: Then We will surely question those to whom [a message] was
sent, and We will surely question the messengers. [ Surah al-Araf 7, Ayat 6 ]
           e. Sahih International: And stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned." [ Surah as-
              Saffat 37, Ayat 24 ]

5.2 Witness at the Judgement
   1) Parts of the body
         a. Sahih International: That Day, We will seal over their mouths, and their hands will
speak to Us, and their feet will testify about what they used to earn. [ Surah Ya-Sin
              36, Ayat 65 ]
   2) The earth
         a. Sahih International: That Day, it will report its news [ Surah al-Zalzalah 99, Ayat 4 ]
   3) The Prophets & Messengers
         a. Sahih International: Indeed, those who disbelieve in the message after it has come to
              them… And indeed, it is a mighty Book. * Surah an-Nisa 4, Ayat 41 ]

6 The Pool :: al-Hawd

6.1 Al-Hawd will quench thirst
Narrated Sahl bin Sa'd:: I heard the Prophet saying, "I am your predecessor at the Lake-Fount
(Kauthar), and whoever will come to it, will drink from it, and whoever will drink from it, will never
become thirsty after that. There will come to me some people whom I know and they know me, and
then a barrier will be set up between me and them." Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri added that the Prophet
further said: "I will say those people are from me. It will be said, 'You do not know what changes and
new things they did after you.' Then I will say, 'Far removed (from mercy), far removed (from
mercy), those who changed (the religion) after me! "

6.2 Description of al-Hawd
'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al-'As (Ra), reported: Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: My
Hawd (River in Paradise) (is as wide and broad that it requires) a month's journey (to go round it) all,
and its sides are equal and its water is whiter than silver, and its odor is more fragrant than the
fragrance of musk, and its jugs (placed round it) are like stars in the sky; and he who drinks from it
will never feel thirsty after that.

7 As-Siraat
It is the bridge placed over Hellfire, over which the Muslims will pass to enter Jannah

Sahih International: And there is none of you except he will come to it. This is upon your Lord an
inevitability decreed. Then We will save those who feared Allah and leave the wrongdoers within it,
on their knees.[ Surah Maryam 19, Ayat 71 – 72 ]

Sahih International: Other than Allah, and guide them to the path of Hellfire [ Surah as-Saffat 37,
Ayat 23 ]

7.1 Description of As-Siraat
Aysha (Ra) narrates that the Prophet (saw) said, ‘Hellfire has a bridge that is thinner than a hair and
sharper than a sword. On it are hooks and thorns that will take whomsoever Allah wills.” * Ahmad ]

Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri said, “We asked the Prophet (saw), “What is the Bridge?”, He (saw) replied, “It
is slippery and has hooks and thorns…” “ [Bukhari ]

7.2 How will people cross the Sirat ?
The Sirat Bridge will be set over Hell. The first prophet who will cross it with his nation will be I.
[Bukhari]

On the Day of Resurrection I will stand by the side of the Sirat Bridge and wait for my nation to cross
it. Allahuta'ala will say, "Ask for whatever you want. Intercede for whomever you wish, for your
intercession will be accepted." After interceding for my nation, I will continue entreating, and I will
not rise to my feet until He says, "Put all people into Paradise who said La ilaha ill-Allah once with
ikhlas and died with faith. [Imam-i Ahmad]

Crossing the Sirat Bridge depends on everybody's light. Some will cross it in the twinkling of an eye;
some, like lightning; some, like a falling star; some, like a running horse. He who has very little light
will creep facedown. His hands and feet will slip, and he will cling to it again. At long last, he will
break free from it by creeping and creeping. [ Tabarani ]

Sahih International: On the Day you see the believing men and believing women, their light
proceeding before them and on their right, [it will be said], "Your good tidings today are [of] gardens
beneath which rivers flow, wherein you will abide eternally." That is what is the great attainment.
On the [same] Day the hypocrite men and hypocrite women will say to those who believed, "Wait
for us that we may acquire some of your light." It will be said, "Go back behind you and seek light."
And a wall will be placed between them with a door, its interior containing mercy, but on the
outside of it is torment. [ Surah al-Hadid 57, Ayat 12 - 13 ]
17 | P a g e
7.3 Al-Qantarah
Abu Sa’eed al Khudree reports that the Prophet (saw) said, “when the believers cross the Hellfire,
they will be stopped at a small arched bridge (Qantarah) before entering the paradise and will be
given retribution for injustices between them until they become purified. (Then) they will be
permitted to enter Jannah. So, by the One in Whose Hands is my soul, they will know their way to
their homes in Jannah, better than they know their ways to their homes in dunya.” [ Saheeh Al-
Bukhari ]

8 Al-A’raaf

8.1 Different Opinions
   1) A high place where you can see Paradise & Hellfire
   2) A wall between Paradise & Hellfire
   3) A mountain between Jannah& Hellfire ( opinion of ibn-Abbas )
   4) The Bridge ( as-Sirat)

Sahih International: And between them will be a partition, and on [its] elevations are men who
recognize all by their mark. And they call out to the companions of Paradise, "Peace be upon you."
They have not [yet] entered it, but they long intensely.

And when their eyes are turned toward the companions of the Fire, they say, "Our Lord, do not
place us with the wrongdoing people." And the companions of the Elevations will call to men [within
Hell] whom they recognize by their mark, saying, "Of no avail to you was your gathering and [the
fact] that you were arrogant." [Allah will say], "Are these the ones whom you [inhabitants of Hell]
swore that Allah would never offer them mercy? Enter Paradise, [O People of the Elevations]. No
fear will there be concerning you, nor will you grieve."[ Surah al-Araf 7, Ayat 46 – 49 ]

19 | P a g e
9 Paradise & Hellfire
Muslims believe in the existence of Paradise & Hellfire. Paradise is the place where Allah reqrds the
believers for their good deeds and Hellfire is the place where the disbelievers are eternally punished
for their sins and the wrongdoers may be punished for their sins. They exist already.

Sahih International: And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord and a garden as wide as the heavens
and earth, prepared for the righteous. [ Surahali-Imran 3, Ayat 133 ]

Sahih International: And he certainly saw him in another descent At the Lote Tree of the Utmost
Boundary – Near it is the Garden of Refuge [ Surah an-Najm 53, Ayat 13 - 15 ]

Sahih International: And as for those who were [destined to be] prosperous, they will be in
Paradise, abiding therein as long as the heavens and the earth endure, except what your Lord should
will – a bestowal uninterrupted.[ Surah al-Hud 11, Ayat 108 ]

Sahih International: Indeed, this is Our provision; for it there is no depletion.[ Surah Sad 38, Ayat 54
]

Sahih International: He who has settled us in the home of duration out of His bounty. There touches
us not in it any fatigue, and there touches us not in it weariness [of mind]."[ SurahFatir 13, Ayat 35 ]

Sahih International: No fatigue will touch them therein, nor from it will they [ever] be removed.[
Surah al-Hijr 15, Ayat 48 ]

9.1 Opinion – 1 :: Hellfire Temporary
   1) Allah will place the sinners there forever, as long as Allah wills. [ Surah 6, Ayat 128 ]
   2) Same as above. [ Surah 11, Ayat 106 – 107 ]
   3) Will be in there for ages. [ Surah 78, Ayat 23 ]
   4) Based on opinion of Umar ibn al-Khattab, Abu Mas’ood, Abu Hurairah, Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri
and many others. Also opinion of ibn al-Qyyium who claims that this is also the opinion of
        al-Islam ibn-Taymiyyah.

9.2 Opinion – 2 :: Hellfire is Eternal (Majority)
   1) Surah 43, Ayat 75
   2) Surah 78, Ayat 30
   3) Surah 15, Ayat 48
   4) Surah 2, Ayat 167
   5) Surah 35, Ayat 36
   6) Hadith in Bukhari& Muslim where Prophet (saw) mentioned “O people of Hellfire, eternity
        without death.”

20 | P a g e
9.3 Things to Remember
 No one will enter Jannah without Allah’s Mercy and Grace
 No one will enter the Hellfire but by Allah’s Justice
 The gates of Jannah will not be opened to anyone other than the Prophet (saw)
 The Prophet’s (saw) Ummah will be the first to enter Jannah. It will make up the majority of
     the people of Jannah
 The greatest pleasure in Jannah is that of seeing Allah (swt)

10 Ar-Ru’yah : Seeing Allah

10.1            Opinion -1 :: Ahl as-SunnahwalJamah
Sahih International: No! Indeed, from their Lord, that Day, they will be partitioned.[ az-Zumar 83,
Ayat 15 ]

Narrated by Abu Hurairah, We said, "O Allah's Apostle! Shall we see our Lord on the Day of
Resurrection?" He said, "Do you have any difficulty in seeing the sun and the moon when the sky is
clear?" We said, "No." He said, "So you will have no difficulty in seeing your Lord on that Day as you
have no difficulty in seeing the sun and the moon (in a clear sky)." [ Bukhari&Msulim ]

10.2            Opinion – 2 :: Other Sects
These sects are Al-Mu’tazilah, al-Jahmiyyah, ar-Rafidah& al-Khawaarij.

Sahih International: Vision perceives Him not, but He perceives [all] vision; and He is the Subtle, the
Acquainted.[ Surah al-An’am 6, Ayat 103 ]

Sahih International: And when Moses arrived at Our appointed time and his Lord spoke to him, he
said, "My Lord, show me [Yourself] that I may look at You." [Allah] said, "You will not see Me, but
look at the mountain; if it should remain in place, then you will see Me." But when his Lord
appeared to the mountain, He rendered it level, and Moses fell unconscious. And when he awoke,
he said, "Exalted are You! I have repented to You, and I am the first of the believers."[ Surah al-A’raf
7, Ayat 143 ]

10.2.1 Refutation to Opinion 2
Sahih International: Allah knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, but they do not
encompass it in knowledge.[ Surah Ta-ha 20, Ayat 110 ]

Narrated by Abu Hurairah, We said, "O Allah's Apostle! Shall we see our Lord on the Day of
Resurrection?" He said, "Do you have any difficulty in seeing the sun and the moon when the sky is
clear?" We said, "No." He said, "So you will have no difficulty in seeing your Lord on that Day as you
have no difficulty in seeing the sun and the moon (in a clear sky)." [ Bukhari&Msulim ]

  • 4. 1 The Resurrection Muslims must believe that Allah will resurrect all the dead for their Judgement Sahih International: They will say, "O woe to us! Who has raised us up from our sleeping place?" [The reply will be], "This is what the Most Merciful had promised, and the messengers told the truth." [ SurahYasin 36, Ayat 52 ] 1.1 Proof from Qur’an &Sunnah 1.1.1 Direct Mention Sahih International: Those who disbelieve have claimed that they will never be resurrected. Say, "Yes, by my Lord, you will surely be resurrected; then you will surely be informed of what you did. And that, for Allah, is easy." [ Surah At-Taghabun 64, Ayat 7 ] 1.1.2 Observation Sahih International: So observe the effects of the mercy of Allah – how He gives life to the earth after its lifelessness. Indeed, that [same one] will give life to the dead, and He is over all things competent. [ SurahAr-Rum 30, Ayat 50 ] 1.1.3 Affirming Allah’s Power, Knowledge & Wisdom Sahih International: Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. The Day when secrets will be put on trial [ Surah At-Tariq 86, Ayat 8 - 9 ] Sahih International: Then did you think that We created you uselessly and that to Us you would not be returned?” [ Surah al-Mu'minun 23, Ayat 115 ] Sahih International: Say, "He will give them life who produced them the first time; and He is, of all creation, Knowing." [ Surah Ya-Sin 36, Ayat 79 ] 4|Page
  • 5. 1.1.4 Sunnah The Prophet (saw) said, “All of the human will disintegrate except for his tailbone. From it he was created and from it he will be resurrected” [ Sahih al-Bukhari& Muslim ] “Then Allah will send a rain like sperm of men, and the people will come out of their graves like a plant grows.” [ al-Hakim, at-Tabarani ] 5|Page
  • 6. 2 The Blowing : as-Soor Blowing of the Trumpet is the role of the Angel Israfeel. 2.1 Interval Between Two Blows Abu Hurairah (ra) said that the Prophet saw) said, “ What is between two blows is forty.” Abu Hurairah was asked whether that meant forty days, months or years, but he refused to answer. 2.2 Opinions 1. Majority say it will be blown 3 times 2. Some say 2 times 3. Qadhi ‘Iyaad says 4 times 2.2.1 As-Soor :: Three Times :: Majority Opinion Al-Imam at-Tabari reports in his book of tafseer the hadeeth of Abu Hurairah (ra) in which Prophet saw) said, “ The Trumpet will be blown three times. The first one is the Blow of terror, the second is the Blow of Death and the third is the Blowing of Resurrection to stand before the Lord of the Worlds. Allah will command Israfeel to blow the first blow and will say, “ BlowNafkhat al-Faza,” so all in the heavens and the earth will be terrified except those whom Allah saves. The Abu Hurairah asked, “Who are those meant in the ayah, “And [warn of] the Day the Horn will be blown, and whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth will be terrified except whom Allah wills. And all will come to Him humbled. [SahihInternationa; Surah An-Naml 27, Ayat 87]“ Prophet (saw) said, “These are the martyrs. That terror will fall upon all the living, and martyrs are alive with their Lord, but Allah will save them from that terror.” The Allah will commandIsrafeel to blow the Blow of Death by saying “Blow Nafkhat as-Sa’q”, and all that is in the heavens and the earth will die. Sahih International: And the Horn will be blown, and whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth will fall dead except whom Allah wills. Then it will be blown again, and at once they will be standing, looking on. [ SurahAz-Zumar 39, Ayat 68 ] 6|Page
  • 7. 2.2.2 As-Soor :: Two Times :: Minority Opinion This opinion considers the “Blow of Terror” and the “Blow of Death” as one. Sahih International: And the Horn will be blown, and whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth will fall dead except whom Allah wills. Then it will be blown again, and at once they will be standing, looking on. [ Surah Az-Zumar 39, Ayat 68 ] The hadith of Abdullah ibn ‘Amribn al-Al’As, “And then the Trumpet will be blown. The first one who hears it will be a man repairing his water basin. As soon as he hears it he will die and then all other will die. Then the Trumpet will be blown again, and they will all be resurrected, looking around.” [ Mentioned by al-Qurtubi ] 2.2.3 As-Soor :: Four Times :: Minority Opinion This opinion is of al-Qadhi ‘Iyad The first will kill everything that is alive at the time. The second will resurrect everyone. Then will come Nafkhat as-Sa’q, which will cause everyone one the Land of Resurrection to die [fall unconscious]. The fourth blow will raise everyone. The Prophet (saw) said, “ Peopleyus’aqoon (will die / fall unconscious) and I will be the first to get up. I will see Musa(a) holding on to the Throne. I will not know whether he awoke before me, or whether he was spared the Sa’qah because of the incident at at-Toor.” [ Sahih al-Bukhari ] 7|Page

It has no marks for anyone.” [ SahihBukhari& Muslim ] IbnMas’ood said, “Allah will change this land to another land, pure like silver; no blood was ever spilt on it, nor any sin committed on it.” Abu-Dharr said that the Prophet (saw) said, “ Ash-Sham is the land of the resurrection and the great gathering.” [al-Bazzar ] 3.1.3 Human’s Physical State Aishah (ra) reports that the Prophet saw) said, “You will be gathered bare-footed, naked and uncircumcised.” [ Sahih al-Bukhari&Msulim ] The Prophet (saw) said, “The dead will be raised in the clothing that they died in / were buried in.” [ Abu-Dawood ] 3.1.4 All Creation will be Resurrected Sahih International: And there is no creature on [or within] the earth or bird that flies with its wings except [that they are] communities like you. We have not neglected in the Register a thing. Then unto their Lord they will be gathered. [ Surah Al-An’am 6, Ayat 38 ] Sahih International: And when the wild beasts are gathered[ Surah At-Takwir 81, Ayat 5 ] 8|Page
  • 9. 3.2 Description of Some of the People 3.2.1 The First to be Resurrected The Prophet (saw) said, “I am (will be) the Master of the Children of Adam on the Day of Resurrection, and the first (of them) to come out of his grave.” [ Muslim ] 3.2.2 The First to be Dressed / Covered The Prophet (saw) said, “ The first of the creation to be dressed on the Day of Resurrection will be Ibraheem (as).” [ Sahih al-Bukhari ] 3.2.3 People will gather in Groups 3.2.3.1 The Arrogant Prophet (saw) said, “ The arrogant will be gathered on the Day of Resurrection in the size of small ants, surrounded by humiliation.” [ at-Tirmidhi ] 3.2.3.2 The Wealthy Beggar “The one who beg people for money and continue to do so will be resurrected on Yawm al- Qiyyamah without a bit of flesh on their faces.” [ Sahih al-Bukhari ] 3.2.3.3 Thieves of War Booty Sahih International: It is not [attributable] to any prophet that he would act unfaithfully [in regard to war booty]. And whoever betrays, [taking unlawfully], will come with what he took on the Day of Resurrection. Then will every soul be [fully] compensated for what it earned, and they will not be wronged. [ Surahali-Imran 3, Ayat 161 ] 3.2.3.4 Those who performed Wudu The Prophet (saw) said, “ MyUmmah will come on the Day of Judgement with shining forehead, hands, and feet as the result of their wudu’.” [ Sahih al-Bukhari ] 3.2.3.5 Adhan Caller – Muadhin The Prophet (saw) said, “ Those who call the adhan will have the longest neck on the Day of Resurrection.” [ Muslim ] 9|Page

They will go to Adam and say, 'You are one whom Allah created with His hand, to whom His angels prostrates and He taught you the names of all things. Intercede on our behalf with your Lord to relieve us from this place where we are!' He will say, 'I am not worthy of this task,' and he will mention his error and say, 'Go to Nuh. He is the first Messenger that Allah sent to the people of the earth.' They will go to Nuh and he will say, 'I am not worthy of this task,' and he will mention his error and say, 'Go to Ibrahim, he friend of the All-Merciful.' They will go to Ibrahim and he will say, 'I am not worthy of this task,' and he will mention the errors he made. 'Go to Musa, a slave to whom Allah gave the Torah and to whom He spoke directly.' They will go to 'Isa and he will say, 'I am not worthy of this task, Go to Muhammad, a slave whose past and future wrong actions Allah has forgiven.' They will come to me and I will go to ask permission from my Lord and permission will be given to me.
