DEADWEIGHT CALCULATION No of person on board: No of passenger = 100 No of crew = 6 Total = 106 Weight allowance per person: Weight per person = 75 kg Luggage per person = 5 kg Total = 80 kg Total weight for persons = 80× 106                                       = 8.48 tons
Capacity calculation
Sample CALCULATION OF Fresh water tanK (PORT & STARBOARD SIDE) Station spacing = 1.575 m  Volume of  tank= 6.7 m3 Weight of fresh water= 6.7 tons
SAMPLE CALCULATION OF Fuel tank (PORT & STARBOARD SIDE) Station spacing = 1.8 m Volume of  tank= 0.83m3 Weight of disel oil= 0.75tons

So,the total lightweight of the vessel is = (11.3+61.25) tons                                                             = 72.55 tons  Therefore,  the displacement of the vessel= Lightweight+Deadweight                                               = 72.55 + 44.96                                               = 117.51 tons Which was previously 123.48 tons
