1. 2012 TOYOTA CAMRY HITS THE ROAD!
Toyota unveiled the all-new 2012 Camry yesterday (September 29th, 2011) in a press
conference held in Toronto. Camry, North America’s bestselling car, defined the midsize sedan
for three decades. “Camry is the benchmark for mid-size sedans in terms of quality, safety,
innovation and driving experience,” said Warren Orton, director at Toyota Canada Inc. “We
introduced it in 1983 and sold 15 million cars so far!” The 2012 Toyota Camry comes in 3
models: The economy LE, Premium XLE and sporty SE. The hybrid model is a significantly
enhancededition, producing 200 horsepower!
The XLEis powered by Toyota's 3.5-liter V6 engine, which is rated at 268 hp and 335 Nm of
torque (0 to 100 km/h in just 7.2 seconds and a top speed of220 km/h). The LE range is
powered by a 2.5 liter engine with an output of 169 hp and 226 Nm of torque (0 to100 km/h in
9.8 seconds and a maximum speed of 190 km/h).
The 2012 Camry has more spacious interior, more safety features (comes with a standard 12
airbags, ABS and ESC). The exterior design is more aerodynamic, suspension is smoother, and
noise reduction technology is optimized.
The price list of the 2012 Toyota Camry will be announced at a later date.
