HSN home furnishings brand, Ballard Designs, looked to reward their loyal fans
and track the sales associated with the campaign to assign a social ROI. They
also aimed to gather new customer data and append current data to use for
future marketing efforts.

NIFTY GIFTY GIVEAWAY
Ballard Designs ran a two-part promotional
giveaway. The first part offered all Facebook
fans a 20% discount coupon once they reached
80,000 likes. The second part included the
chance to win $2,500, $600, or $100 in Ballard
Bucks upon completing the sweepstakes entry
form. To promote the contest, Ballard scheduled
Facebook posts leading to the entry page.
In addition, when a fan completed the
sweepstakes form, they were prompted to
share the contest with social share buttons.
