Heidi, the founder of GirlApproved, asked me to define her company to the
public- What is GirlApproved about? So here's my straight-from-the-oven, on a
toothpick, bite-size sample of the delicious Soho company I intern with:
A Taste of GirlApproved

Let me pour you a cold glass of invigorating perspective. Mix 4oz. of fresh Post88
insight, one package of revenue optimizer, two shots of incendiary brand
engineering, and a splash of psychoanalysis and gender studies. Shake and
garnish with absolute truths.
Ahhhhh. GirlApproved: the world's authority on today's females- the distinct first
to be growing up with social media. Someone tell Larry to step up his game
because the (once cold) 6-pack in his trunk is no longer working on chicks,
regardless of how thirsty they are; his beer is as flat as his pickup lines . Not to
mention, Sheila just looked up his Facebook page on her Blackberry, and
um...he's definitely not 25 or from Australia. WTF Larry? But Sheila, well done my
fellow Post88 wing-woman!
Post88s are all females born after the year 1988, breastfed in a technological
ecosystem designed to feed their needs. They are culturally aware, self-
governed, and immersed in image-affirming outlets, thus holding a higher sense
of self. Post88s define exactly what is relevant and important in their lives; it is the
job of the brand to focus the lens and deeply connect with the Post88s' belief
standards. In time, the Post88s will not only be the most economically powerful
demographic, but will also conquer the market.
Unfortunately, many conventions-turned-laws on how to design, behave,
identify, develop, and/or succeed remain unchanged from the time they were
created. They are often ineffective and irrelevant to the Post88s. Stagnant man-
made rules have been ingrained in everything-from proper research methods,
to The American Constitution, to how the chair you are currently sitting should
be built. Originally designed by men, not only for men but for all of human
society, to understand as "the right way" do something.
Howver, the reality is that men and women interact and succeed in their
environment differently, across a myriad of dimensions. Could a female contrive
the most pleasurable, touch-sensitive male condom? Unlikely, as a man would

not hit every mark engineering the most comfortable tampon. Moreover, we
cannot be stuck emulating argot that succeeded generations before. We can
only leapfrog by moving.
GirlApproved shatters old ideaology and resolves disconnects that exist
between the Post88 female and the product. In fact, the GA team largely
consists of Post 88s, so the conversation cuts deep through the surface and
quenches intrinsic female desires on an intellectual, emotional, and sensual
level. No sensationalism or unsubstantiated claims. GirlApproved sells
authenticity, and authenticity sells itself.
