TRIZ is a theory of inventive problem solving developed by Genrich Altshuller to provide systematic approaches to solving problems. It is based on two main postulates: (1) a real problem is a contradiction, and (2) systems evolve according to set evolution laws. TRIZ provides generalized solutions that can be applied to problems through the use of tools like the contradiction matrix and separation principles. xFIVE applies the TRIZ approach to help companies concretize innovation projects from concept to prototype to commercialization.
