S. Kassees developed an action research plan to increase parental involvement at Clark High School during the 2010-2011 school year. The plan's goal was to significantly increase positive parental involvement on campus to support students' academic and social success. Activities included distributing a parent survey, reviewing discipline data, sharing the project with teachers, increasing parent communication, holding parental involvement activities, and collecting data throughout the year to evaluate progress. The plan aimed to decrease behavior referrals by increasing parental participation in the school.
