As Mary Shelley wrote Frankenstein, she poured much time into portraying her characters and making
them believable and life like. Her scenes are painted with beautiful, descriptive words that are colored
with vivid emotions and applicable morals. Her life experiences were strategically placed in her
writing to convey a sense of reality and completion of plots and subplots. Her experience with failed
love ties in with the emotion that she expresses the loneliness of Frankenstein s creation. She develops
her characters with passion and enhanced style.

In William Golding s Lord of the Flies, Golding is conveying that when there is no jurisdiction over
humans, things are bound to get out of hand. Freedom has no limits and gives many options for one
without chains binding and restricting their every movement. Golding shows us that humans are likely
to change when there is no authority over them. Firstly, without knowing that there are regulations or
rules, anyone is known to think that they can do whatever they want. They believe that all their
wrongdoings will be bypassed. Secondly, the eventual loss of order in the boys leads them to separate
paths and different tribes. Without a guardian figure guiding them and keeping together, some

so they will never become a part of society. This holds true for the greatest things in life whether it is a
flower, gem, or person. Those things will not be noticed by society because they are so hidden in life

It s June 28th 2017 in Austin Texas, and it s my birthday. My family and I gather around the dinner
table in our cellar.
I can t believe you re really 14 now, you re too young to be working in the fields, my mom added with
a glum look on her face.
She knew the hours of hard labor would soon begin to pile onto each other. My mother has never been
the type of person to hide her feelings, especially whenever it came to the fields.
At least I ll be able to keep my eyes on you all the time, my dad chimed in acting as if he didn t care
