External Environment Of The New Ceo The Company
External Environment
Under the leadership of the new CEO the company is focused on the internal environment and also its
external environment. The company has many outside factors that influence its strategic planning and
require that they are treated differently.
These important factors include:
Customers (providers, pharmacies, payers) who demand satisfaction with the product and services
they buy and use.
Rapidly changing technology and trends in health care.
Suppliers responsible for helping the company deliver tools/services to their customers.
Competitors that vie for the same customers.

Uses and Misuses of Technology
This company is considered a high tech company and in the past year opened offices in Boston, MA
and San Francisco, CA closer to the hubs of other known high tech companies and innovation. The
goal of these moves is to re define the company as a true high tech company with a focus on health
care as opposed to a health care revenue cycle vendor that has technology. They also want to take
advantage of the local IT talent pool and attract the best and brightest.
The company s portfolio has always included a software and hardware component, but has recently
changed its platform to SaaS (software as a service). The SaaS solution is typically accessed by
customers using a web service and has become a common delivery model for many business
applications (Wikipedia, 2015). This change has allowed the company to start moving away from
costly, difficult and hard to maintain software/hardware implementations.
Unfortunately, during this transition to the new platform lots of customers will still need to use the
legacy software and hardware. The company will have to continue to maintain these solutions until all
customers have successfully moved to the new platform. Sun setting legacy solutions has not been
easy for this company to accomplish and they have to spend lots of resources maintaining older
systems.

An Analysis of Twelve Angry Men by Reginald Rose
In reaching the verdict, the jurors reconsider both their understanding of the case and their
understanding of themselves. Discuss
Twelve Angry Men, written by Reginald Rose in 1957, portrays the intense discussion between 12
jurors in the American jury about a 16 year old boy, who is accused of killing his own father, and
charged with premeditated homicide , the most serious charge in court. It explores the flaws of human
nature, and the impacts of misinterpretations of the case can have on the defendant. However, they
play also illustrates when jurors reassess the case and themselves, they will finally follow the judge s
words, which is to separate the facts from the fancy. Throughout the play, all jurors reconsiders about

Summary Of A Hope In The Unseen
In the novel, A Hope in the Unseen written by Ron Suskind explains the journey of Cedric Jennings
from the Inner City to the Ivy League. As a means of survival, having had to attend a high school in
one of Washington, D.C s most dangerous neighborhoods. Cedric Jennings has had to isolate himself
from his peers so he could stay on course and keep his sanity (Suskind 293) in order to leave the
neighborhood behind and pursue his dream of attending an Ivy League school. When he does reach
his dream of attending Brown University, he still holds the idea that isolation is the key of survival. He
still holds the idea that their is a battle between himself and his peers based on their different values or
academic successes. As a result, conflicts erupts by the fact Cedric won t give up his past and live
toward the future or the now. Eventually he realizes that being alone doesn t seem to be working
(Suskind 293) anymore. One of the many conflicts during Cedric Jennings first year at Brown
University is with his roommate Rob Burton. Cedric and Rob come from different backgrounds with
Rob being caucasian who comes from a privileged family having two doctors as parents while Cedric
is an African American who is raised by a single mother in a low income neighborhood. As a result,
they start to clash with one another especially since Cedric doesn t approve of Rob life choices since it
seems to be everything that he had been warned about from back home. Cedric accepting Rob

Materialism In Wlf And Eadwacer
The poem Wulf and Eadwacer displays a number of typical characteristics associated with the genre of
the Old English Elegies. In this essay I aim to identify such defining characteristics and discuss why,
from Paul Muldoon s translation, Wulf and Eadwacer is in every sense an Old English Elegy. I will
examine the environment in which the poem is set, the theme of social isolation, the lif is laene motif,
the ubi sunt lamentation and the medieval concept of wyrd . I will highlight and support with
examples how each of these features are present themselves and their significance in the classification
of this poem as an Old English Elegy.
A key feature of Medieval writing is the environment in which the poem is set. This gives the ... Show

The poem is a mere nineteen lines in length and in some academic opinions is more like a riddle than
an elegy, but as Anne L. Klinck says in The Old English Elegies: A Critical Edition and Genre Study ,
Indeed, the poem s riddling quality is an essential ingredient, although it has far greater cogency as a
love lament . The unnamed speaker seen in the poem is held in common with the elegies The
Wanderer and The Seafarer and is yet another aspect affirming the poems classification as an Old

Summary Of Men In The Charge Of The Light Brigade
The men in the poem The Charge of the Light Brigade was foolish and here s why. The order to
charge cannons with just swords is foolish by itself, but the fact that no one spoke up or challenged it
was also foolish because if someone had brought the fault to attention and persuaded the leader to
come up with a better plan they would have survived and won the battle. I don t see why you can t
question an order that basically saying go die when it will not help the cause that your there for in the
first place. Just because a person said so even if they are a leader you should still question an obvious
fault like this. It s even more foolish they went through with it and didn t speak up at all and their
deaths end in vain. Some say that was heroic and brave of them I say they did it for nothing and that
they were foolish. Not only was it a head on charge toward cannons they didn t even think about
making it hard for the cannons to hit them and in the end they lost their lives while losing the whole
battle. For starters, you should all ways question or just bring to light improvements to any plans
brought up by anybody. Not just say oh this is going to go badly and do nothing that what really made
them foolish. Now the poem says that they rode boldly and strong well in fact I doubt that was the
case I bet they were just rolling a dice of chance and couldn t think of anything to fix the situation, it s
like when you are forced on a roller coaster and you get in the seat and

Southern Renaissance Influence
The Southern Renaissance was a time during the 1920s and 1930s where there was a change in
southern literature. Even though most of the Southern Renaissance took place during the 1920s and
30s it was still affected by WWII. The Southern Renaissance is important because it saw a bunch of
new southern writers and affected southern literature. People say that the Southern renaissance ended
before WWII but it actually continued after WWII and was Affected by it. One example of how WWII
had an effect on the Southern Renaissance is ...the coming of the second World War and its aftermath
not only confirmed those changes but it created a modern day south that in numerous respects seemed
to bear little relationship to the community in which the leading writers of the Southern Renaissance
had been born a half century or so earlier (Rubin 463). This quote shows what the second world war
did to the south. The Southern Renaissance and WWII also had effects on segregation and black
novelists. One example of the effect the renaissance had on segregation is the period in which it
emerged saw the south decidedly on the defensive in its efforts to stave off challenges to segregation
(Abadie 14). A good example of how the renaissance affected black novelists is the depression in the
1930s and World War II in the 1940s are central events in American social history. Yet southern black
novels during these two decades rarely do more than hint at the effects either event had on the lives of

Assata Shakur Speech Rhetorical Devices
Assata Shakur was , and still is, well known for participating in black empowerment. After her
political asylum in Cuba, Assata Shakur has kept a blog to enforce her beliefs on police brutality and
racial issues. During this time, people were still fighting for equal civil rights for the African American
community. To be more specific, it was the Black Power Movement. Assata Shakur was writing this
speech to encourage and persuade others to fight for the Black Power Movement through any means
necessary. Also, at the time the Vietnam War was going on so there was already a lot on America s

Developing and designing a mixed use hotel property represents a certain legal and business challenge
for the developers, owners and the operators since it combines several different venues into the same

The Roles Of Women Of Andalusia
The Roles of Extraordinary Women of Andalusia Muslim women have the same rights as men and
they have to fulfill and attain the same duties of worship such as prayer, zikr, give money to the poor,
fasting, and make pilgrimage to Mecca the holy place. In the pre Islamic era, the Jahiliya era, women
were not allowed to do anything, they had no rights. Women from the Bedioun tribes had no legal
status whatsoever. The fathers forced their daughters to get married for money and also, many fathers
infanticide their daughters because they were seeing as nothing important in the society. The tribes
were all male controlled. The heritage was passed on to the following generations through male lines.
Women had no legal right in inheriting property. The head of the tribes limited the rights of women
and took away their freedom. Prior to Islam, women were seen as property to be seized in tribal or
ethnic battles and conflicts. Women had no possessions or succession rights. Their very essential role
was to produce children, especially male offspring. Women had to cook, milk animals, and wash
clothes; they also had to spun wool and wave fabric for the tribal tens. However, when Islam was
found, it gave full rights and freedom to women.
Islam developed the position of women from the Arab cultures. The Sharia Law drew attention to the
proper way of marriage for women. Islam forbids the dowry of a female to be given to her family
rather than to the female who is getting married. Islam

Essay On American Identity
The American Identity
American |adjective| of, relating to, or characteristic of the United States or its inhabitants. This is the
literal meaning of American, but isn t there more? Most just look on a shallow level of what the
United States were actually founded on. People will say that this country is based only on having
rights which may be true, however we have many freedoms here that citizens of other countries cannot
even begin to comprehend
This community is full of citizens who have strong views politically. I have noticed many people
saying,

I will admit I am guilty of this. Many people will not admit to this. Many will just assume things and
cave into the stereotypes the rest of the world believes. People will judge others because of who they
are, what they love, or their beliefs. The first amendment does clearly state we have a freedom of
speech but why does this have to be used as a negative asset? We could use it as a tool instead of a
weapon, used to criticize another being. People have started to believe in stereotypes again with a trust
so great, that I will never be able to understand it. Blinded by these ideas they started to use them in a
horrible way to separate themselves from another culture that is wonderful. All of this done in the face
of fear, the fear of another day to be dreaded like that of 11.9.01.
One of my favorite things to read are American stereotypes. Sometimes I will read the most hilarious
things and other times I am absolutely shocked by what I find. Americans are viewed as rude and
overweight people, who do not know anything about the world around them. (I do not like to be bound
by stereotypes and try to break the trend .) To be honest I do believe in some of these because some
are true. However The U.S. is viewed as a place of freedom where even in crises we can come
together to mend the nation together again, as neighbors and friends even if we don t agree on

Why Is The Great Gatsby Bad
The Tragic Essay Is there such a thing as running away from your problems, and right back to money?
Well there is an excellent book named The Great Gatsby written by F.Scott Fitzgerald, which was a
tragic ending that gives evidence on this topic. In the story, Nick the Narrator meets with his cousin
Daisy and her husband Tom at New York; however Tom is having an affair with a woman named
Myrtle. Daisy has an affair with a man named Gatsby. Gatsby is rich and throws parties seeking for
Daisy, the one he loves. So Nick is noticing all of this rising from the ground. In summary, Daisy and
Gatsby are in a car driving, and idiotic Myrtle jumps in front of them and gets hit. Daisy drove away
and Gatsby was blamed, so George the husband the husband of Myrtle retaliates and shoots Gatsby in
the chest. Gatsby dies and no one comes to his funeral not even Daisy the one he loved. So people like

One of the most important resources of a business is its advertisement team. Due to the fact that

A Genre Analysis of Graduate-Level Reading Response Blogs...
Introduction
As a community, academics are increasingly accepting the use of public, online, journal style writings
known as weblogs (blogs) as a valid pedagogy for the classroom. The attraction of using blogs within
a classroom setting stems mainly from the discursive possibilities that the new technology offers:
namely, that blogs allow for a discussion of nearly any topic in a socially moderated medium that
encourages participants to compare, expand upon, and modify their understanding of that topic in
relation to the ideas of their peers. While these discourses may serve any variety of purposes, one
growing use of the medium is as a format for reading responses a somewhat traditional pedagogical
approach within Composition Studies, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Second, because they are written by students seeking advanced degrees, their language, sophistication,
and features are likely in sharp contrast to blogs written by undergraduate and K 12 students. Finally,
they do not appear to follow any special criteria for classroom blogs, although (as will become evident
in the following analysis) they do display a few moderating characteristics that show evidence of
conformity to a common set of discursive moves and practices.
The value of the academic blog, both in general and in its many sub genres, is that it allows students to
write for an audience broader than the teacher (who inevitably becomes the real audience for most
graded assignments) and yet narrower and more specific than the often described general academic
audience; in other words, by writing for and often responding to their peers, students are able to
develop a rhetorical awareness of audience that they are rarely afforded in more traditional
assignments

The s Argument On The Existence Of Evil
Blackburn is right to claim that the existence of evil strongly suggests that there does not exist a god
who is all good, all knowing and all powerful. Blackburn s claim is created out of his beliefs mixed in
with the ideas of other minds, in order to come to the conclusion that there does not exist a god who is
AAA. Blackburn s claim is solidified by the problem of evil which logically counters the idea of an
AAA God. The PoE is a clear defense to the idea of a God, since logically speaking, God wouldn t
allow evil to exist if he was AAA. So in this people must go completely on faith in order to believe
that there is an AAA God.
Blackburn s analogy to faith is based around a terrible dormitory. A dormitory with a terrible
environment, filled with suffering students, who look unto a management office where no one ever
leaves. The idea of the manager in the office reflects the idea of God. Perhaps the manager is unable to
help the students, or perhaps unwilling, or even enjoying their suffering. Similar to people looking to
God with their misfortune, the students will look unto the office hoping for something to change.
Moreover, Blackburn discusses the idea of faith with this analogy. Faith which is what holds people
together in times of evil, and gets them to believe in a God, is what the students will clinge to in the
dorm. The idea that they ll be rewarded for their behavior this semester, next semester is completely
based off of faith. The idea parallels the faith

The Human Condition Analysis
The Human Condition in Music Throughout time, artists, musicians, and composers have been using
their various artforms as an outlet, a way to express themselves in a way rather than written word or
oral expression. For these artists, many times composition and performing music allows them to study
the human condition in a deeper, more personalized, yet relatable way, much like Arthur Miller
exhibited in Death of a Salesman. Though various other art forms are used to express this, it is music
that allows the composer, performer, or listener to examine an aspect or sometimes multiple aspects of
the human condition, including: birth, growth, love, emotionality, aspiration, conflict, and mortality.
These exhibitions have spanned from the early ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Emotionality is found to be an important aspect of any kind of artistic study. Those who choose to
contribute in artistic advances such as drawing, painting, literature, theater, or music are continually
pressured to convey more emotion within their works. For example, Ella Fitzgerald s 1958 rendition
of Blue Skies uses a presto tempo and E major key to suggest the same feelings as Arthur Miller
wished to convey by describing how Willy Loman believes the aristocrats must feel. To similarly
convey this, Ella sings, I never saw the sun shining so bright, never saw things going so right. Willy
believes that the aristocrats must feel similarly to this due to the fact that to Willy everything seems to
be going deplorably. Willy believes that if one is not plagued with the idea of being unable to provide
for his family, then they must be living as Fitzgerald suggests. Moreover, leaping to 2009, Eric
Whitacre, a newfound Juilliard graduate in composition, had noticed a fan of his works had posted a
video of herself singing the soprano part of his newly composed piece, Sleep . Eric, resonating in the
purity and innocence of the video he had watched, began a project to connect people from around the

individuals in over 50 countries in song, speaks of how moved and

Open Carry Research Paper
Open carry in Texas was enacted on June 13, 2015 allowing people who have permits to carry their
handguns openly without having to show permits to law enforcement. When this was first passed I
wasn t quite sure how I felt about it because the thought of people just walking around with guns kind

And one of the most talked about draw backs with the open carry law deal with law enforcement.
Open carry advocates create a potentially very dangerous situation. When police are called to a man
with a gun call they typically are responding to a situation about which they have few details other
than that one or more people are present at a location and are armed. Officers may have no idea that
these people are simply exercising their rights. Consequently, the law enforcement response is one of
hypervigilant urgency in order to protect the public from an armed threat. Should the gun carrying
person fail to comply with a law enforcement instruction or move in a way that could be construed as
threatening, the police are forced to respond in kind for their own protection. It s well and good in
hindsight to say the gun carrier was simply exercising their rights but the result could be deadly (

The Symbols Of Shopping Malls
The shopping mall is the public marketplace of the wealthy industrialized societies. Malls are
expensive to build and operate, and typically several gigantic chain department stores act as anchors
for the mall. These department stores are connected by climate controlled passageways lined with
smaller stores offering everything from ice cream to speciality clothing to movie theaters. (Plattner
1989, 173)
This definition clearly indicates that mall is associated with wealthy, developed and industrialized
societies. But two of the largest shopping malls in South Asia, namely Bashundhara City and Jamuna

Recognizing and rewarding high performance is a key recommendation for any approach when
managing any merit pay program (HRIS 2012). Merit pay is a compensation system where base pay
increases and is determined by an individual s performance. Using a merit pay plan is a good way for
an organization to reward high performance is one benefit when using merit pay programs. The first
step in implementing or improving a merit pay program is to have a solid performance management
program, and this is another way a merit pay program is beneficial. Merit pay is a way to be successful
and effectively implement merit pay with a uplift in salaries, and this is a third way using a merit pay
program is beneficial to an organization. There are some drawbacks when using merit pay programs,
such as paying some employees more than others. If you pay high performing workers more than low
performing employees, the high performers may stay, causing the low performers to complain or leave
the organization. A second drawback in using merit pay program is that employees become less
motivated if not paid to their satisfaction. For example, if employees feel they should be making more
money for their performance, this causes them to have low self esteem, and want to find employment

The Role Of Women During The Workforce Debate
Introduction Gender roles is an often debated topic in today s society. The perception of women in the
workforce debate is fueled and, sometimes confused, by how data is sliced and analyzed. The debate
is further confused by looking across geographical and cultural norms. For example,100 years ago, in
Europe, women held jobs working long hours in factories, as nurses, cleaning homes of the wealthy,
and were even craftswomen. Meanwhile, 100 years ago, in the United States, women stayed home to
take care of the family/home, while men worked an average of ten hours a day, six days a week much
longer than the 8 hour, five day work week considered mainstream today.
Debates range from the role of women in society to how they are judged. Some believe women should
to have kids and quit working when they do. Women can be judged more harshly for voicing their
opinions than they do men. Some view women as secondary to their husbands, even if she is the
primary breadwinner. Women can be perceived as naturally weaker than their male coworkers,
expected to have good soft skills , and judged more on their looks than men. Even though most these
stereotypes have mostly dissipated over the past few years, they still exist in many places. Today,
women in the United States are becoming more powerful in many areas, especially the workforce, but
it is debatable that equality has been reached.
Participation Data Even though women s rights have come a long way in the past 100 years, the

The desire for love and the need for acceptance can create more than a feeling of rejection. In East of
Eden and The Kite Runner, many characters find the task of love daunting and insufficient to their
expectations. Love presents itself in every aspect of both novels and therefore is a major theme.
Whether it was love from family or lovers, both novels explore the idea of unrequited love and its
consequences on the characters lifelong journeys. The theme of love is a major underlying cause of
many problems within East of Eden for it creates a feeling of rejection by family and lovers. The idea
that love is blind becomes the center of revolution for the feelings between Adam Trask and his wife,

The Rationale For Undertaking The Research
The rationale for undertaking the research:
The topic of expansion has always resulted in competitiveness between various airports, but different
approaches are taken towards those airports requesting for more runway expansion. Heathrow Airport
is facing constant debates with nearby residents for a third runway appeal. The main concern with
Heathrow s third runway relates to the environmental and social concerns residents will face if the
expansion proposal is approved. Undertaking this particular research would provide a better
understanding about the local residents opinions, whose daily activities may change and residential
houses which may be affected; contributing to sustainability concerns. These opinions are important as
residents deserve to express their interpretations about the runway expansion. Subsequently, the
research will add significant value to the airport industry and add further theory to the current updates
they have on Heathrow s third runway expansion.

In the vast and developing aviation industry, expansion has become a key priority for many UK airport

Jonathan Vs Fletch Research Paper
Leaders don t create followers, they create more leaders (Leadership vs. Management: What s the
Difference?). Jonathan was a prime example of this quality. He never forced his fellow seagulls to

Essay about A Stroke
A stroke is a type of cardiovascular disease that affects the cerebral arteries, those blood vessels that
carry blood to the brain. A stroke occurs when one of those blood vessels in the brain is obstructed or

in the brain. This build up of pressure within the brain can cause altered brain function (1). In many
cases, strokes can be diagnosed, prevented and treatable. Symptoms of a stroke can occur quickly and
may cause: sudden numbness, tingling, or weakness, or paralysis in your face, arm, or leg, especially
on one side of your body. Sudden: vision changes, trouble speaking (slurred speech), confusion or

The Sayings Of Poor Richard By Benjamin Franklin
One lesson I learned from The sayings of Poor Richard by Ben Franklin was that actions speak louder
than words. Franklin said He that composes himself is wiser than he that composes books. (Franklin)
This analogy is saying I shouldn t criticize how others act, if I don t act the way I should. In the story,
Poor Richard was trying to find the ways to achieve moral perfection. He believed that being able to
compose yourself is way more important than telling others what to do. Composing yourself means to
watch your own actions, and strive to be morally excellent. Somebody s actions shows the kind of
person they are, not what they say. Being all talk can make an individual appear a fool. It s a lot easier
to say something then do something.

realized, because it demands an explanation while denying the very possibility of explanation. From
nothing to being there is no logical bridge, he wrote. In science, explanations are built of cause and
effect. But if nothing is truly nothing, it lacks the power to cause. It s not simply that we can t find the

The ancient Greeks suggested that empty space is filled with substance a plenum, an ether. Aristotle
conceived of the ether as an unchanging fifth element, more perfect and heavenly in its invariance
than earth, air, fire, or water. True nothingness was at odds with Aristotle s physics, which said that
bodies rise up or fall down as dictated by their rightful place in the natural order of things.

James Clerk Maxwell, who discovered that light behaves as a wave that always travels at a particular
speed. What was waving, and speed relative to what? The ether was a handy answer, providing both a
medium for light waves to travel through, and, as Aristotle originally imagined, a reference frame
against which all

The company has many outside factors that influence its strategic planning and require that they are treated differently. These important factors include: Customers (providers, pharmacies, payers) who demand satisfaction with the product and services they buy and use. The goal of these moves is to re define the company as a true high tech company with a focus on health care as opposed to a health care revenue cycle vendor that has technology. They also want to take advantage of the local IT talent pool and attract the best and brightest. The company s portfolio has always included a software and hardware component, but has recently changed its platform to SaaS (software as a service). The SaaS solution is typically accessed by customers using a web service and has become a common delivery model for many business applications (Wikipedia, 2015). This change has allowed the company to start moving away from costly, difficult and hard to maintain software/hardware implementations. Unfortunately, during this transition to the new platform lots of customers will still need to use the legacy software and hardware. The company will have to continue to maintain these solutions until all customers have successfully moved to the new platform. Sun setting legacy solutions has not been easy for this company to accomplish and they have to spend lots of resources maintaining older systems. Leadership Practices The new CEO ... • 5. Materialism In Wlf And Eadwacer The poem Wulf and Eadwacer displays a number of typical characteristics associated with the genre of the Old English Elegies. In this essay I aim to identify such defining characteristics and discuss why, from Paul Muldoon s translation, Wulf and Eadwacer is in every sense an Old English Elegy. I will examine the environment in which the poem is set, the theme of social isolation, the lif is laene motif, the ubi sunt lamentation and the medieval concept of wyrd . I will highlight and support with examples how each of these features are present themselves and their significance in the classification of this poem as an Old English Elegy. • 6. Summary Of Men In The Charge Of The Light Brigade The men in the poem The Charge of the Light Brigade was foolish and here s why. The order to charge cannons with just swords is foolish by itself, but the fact that no one spoke up or challenged it was also foolish because if someone had brought the fault to attention and persuaded the leader to come up with a better plan they would have survived and won the battle. I don t see why you can t question an order that basically saying go die when it will not help the cause that your there for in the first place. Just because a person said so even if they are a leader you should still question an obvious fault like this. It s even more foolish they went through with it and didn t speak up at all and their deaths end in vain. Some say that was heroic and brave of them I say they did it for nothing and that they were foolish. Not only was it a head on charge toward cannons they didn t even think about making it hard for the cannons to hit them and in the end they lost their lives while losing the whole battle. For starters, you should all ways question or just bring to light improvements to any plans brought up by anybody. Not just say oh this is going to go badly and do nothing that what really made them foolish. Now the poem says that they rode boldly and strong well in fact I doubt that was the case I bet they were just rolling a dice of chance and couldn t think of anything to fix the situation, it s like when you are forced on a roller coaster and you get in the seat and ... Even though most of the Southern Renaissance took place during the 1920s and 30s it was still affected by WWII. The Southern Renaissance is important because it saw a bunch of new southern writers and affected southern literature. People say that the Southern renaissance ended before WWII but it actually continued after WWII and was Affected by it. One example of how WWII had an effect on the Southern Renaissance is ...the coming of the second World War and its aftermath not only confirmed those changes but it created a modern day south that in numerous respects seemed to bear little relationship to the community in which the leading writers of the Southern Renaissance had been born a half century or so earlier (Rubin 463). This quote shows what the second world war did to the south. The Southern Renaissance and WWII also had effects on segregation and black novelists. One example of the effect the renaissance had on segregation is the period in which it emerged saw the south decidedly on the defensive in its efforts to stave off challenges to segregation (Abadie 14). A good example of how the renaissance affected black novelists is the depression in the 1930s and World War II in the 1940s are central events in American social history. The Roles Of Women Of Andalusia The Roles of Extraordinary Women of Andalusia Muslim women have the same rights as men and they have to fulfill and attain the same duties of worship such as prayer, zikr, give money to the poor, fasting, and make pilgrimage to Mecca the holy place. In the pre Islamic era, the Jahiliya era, women were not allowed to do anything, they had no rights. Women from the Bedioun tribes had no legal status whatsoever. The fathers forced their daughters to get married for money and also, many fathers infanticide their daughters because they were seeing as nothing important in the society. The tribes were all male controlled. The heritage was passed on to the following generations through male lines. Women had no legal right in inheriting property. The head of the tribes limited the rights of women and took away their freedom. Prior to Islam, women were seen as property to be seized in tribal or ethnic battles and conflicts. Women had no possessions or succession rights. Their very essential role was to produce children, especially male offspring. Women had to cook, milk animals, and wash clothes; they also had to spun wool and wave fabric for the tribal tens. However, when Islam was found, it gave full rights and freedom to women. • 21. The s Argument On The Existence Of Evil Blackburn is right to claim that the existence of evil strongly suggests that there does not exist a god who is all good, all knowing and all powerful. Blackburn s claim is created out of his beliefs mixed in with the ideas of other minds, in order to come to the conclusion that there does not exist a god who is AAA. Blackburn s claim is solidified by the problem of evil which logically counters the idea of an AAA God. The PoE is a clear defense to the idea of a God, since logically speaking, God wouldn t allow evil to exist if he was AAA. So in this people must go completely on faith in order to believe that there is an AAA God. Blackburn s analogy to faith is based around a terrible dormitory. A dormitory with a terrible environment, filled with suffering students, who look unto a management office where no one ever leaves. The idea of the manager in the office reflects the idea of God. Perhaps the manager is unable to help the students, or perhaps unwilling, or even enjoying their suffering. Similar to people looking to God with their misfortune, the students will look unto the office hoping for something to change. Moreover, Blackburn discusses the idea of faith with this analogy. When police are called to a man with a gun call they typically are responding to a situation about which they have few details other than that one or more people are present at a location and are armed. Officers may have no idea that these people are simply exercising their rights. Consequently, the law enforcement response is one of hypervigilant urgency in order to protect the public from an armed threat. Should the gun carrying person fail to comply with a law enforcement instruction or move in a way that could be construed as threatening, the police are forced to respond in kind for their own protection. It s well and good in hindsight to say the gun carrier was simply exercising their rights but the result could be deadly ( Open ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

There are some drawbacks when using merit pay programs, such as paying some employees more than others. If you pay high performing workers more than low performing employees, the high performers may stay, causing the low performers to complain or leave the organization. A second drawback in using merit pay program is that employees become less motivated if not paid to their satisfaction. • 30. The Role Of Women During The Workforce Debate Introduction Gender roles is an often debated topic in today s society. The perception of women in the workforce debate is fueled and, sometimes confused, by how data is sliced and analyzed. The debate is further confused by looking across geographical and cultural norms. For example,100 years ago, in Europe, women held jobs working long hours in factories, as nurses, cleaning homes of the wealthy, and were even craftswomen. Meanwhile, 100 years ago, in the United States, women stayed home to take care of the family/home, while men worked an average of ten hours a day, six days a week much longer than the 8 hour, five day work week considered mainstream today. Debates range from the role of women in society to how they are judged. Some believe women should to have kids and quit working when they do. Women can be judged more harshly for voicing their opinions than they do men. Some view women as secondary to their husbands, even if she is the primary breadwinner. Women can be perceived as naturally weaker than their male coworkers, expected to have good soft skills , and judged more on their looks than men. Even though most these stereotypes have mostly dissipated over the past few years, they still exist in many places. Today, women in the United States are becoming more powerful in many areas, especially the workforce, but it is debatable that equality has been reached. Nothingness, however, would be perfectly symmetric it would look the same from every angle rendering absolute spatial directions like up and down utterly meaningless. An ether, Aristotle figured, could serve as a kind of cosmic compass, an ultimate reference frame against which all motion could be measured.
