Rubin Hurricane Carter Depicted In The Movie The...
Everyday extraordinary events happen. Events of survival, overcoming great odds, sometimes
luck and occasionally stories of great injustice. The story of Rubin Hurricane Carter could
defiantly be perceived as one of great injustice. It could also be perceived as a immensely
manipulated story made popular due to the views of famous and important people. The most
popular belief is the story showcased in the 1999 movie The Hurricane. The film tells the story of
an innocent carter, framed for the murder of three innocent white people and sentenced to jail for
life only to be freed.
Upon viewing the film you are left believing that carter is a wonderful human being incapable of
the murders. However the story of the real Rubin Carter has much to be desired. Many facts of the
events remain the same, rarely are events changed completely , but much is left out or altered. This
is achieved in the film by silencing significant people. The primary example of this is John Artis.
John Artis was Rubin s alleged accomplice at the night of the shootings. John was mentioned maybe
twice throughout the whole film even though he also allegedly committed the crimes. There are
other examples of silencing. Other notable people silenced are; the victims families, the prosecuting
lawyers and others officers involved in Rubin s arrest. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Marginalising is when someone is denied mainstream status. In the case of the hurricane people
such as Rubins girlfriend, Lesra s family and even Della Pesca are all made to feel insignificant.
If you put yourself into these peoples shoes the story of Rubin Carter could have being a whole lot

What Being A Patriot Means To Me Essay
What Does Being a Patriot Mean to Me? Being a Patriot means to be proud of my country and to
have love and support for it. Support should be present when defending the country s power and
interests. Love should be expressed through kindness and respect to others. As a Patriot, it is my
responsibility to be proud of the accomplishments of my country and to show honor for the efforts
that were made to form and establish my country.
The importance of the United States history should be recognized and valued by Patriots due to its
significance it has in our daily lives. We should be intrigued to learn American History and
interested in the foundation and establishment of our country. Patriots need to recognize the past
and learn from the good and the bad that has resulted. Additionally, history educates Patriots with

It is important to know the sacrifices that were made for the United States of America and to
realize that these sacrifices are still being made daily. We need to be thankful for the military and
display honor towards the active soldiers and veterans. They make tremendous sacrifices
including risking their lives to uphold our civil liberties so that we can reside in peace and live in
a free country. As we honor and respect our military, we also can show pride with our government.
Defending the government should be a priority of a Patriot because without the government our
country would lack order and organization and would not be able to prosper and flourish. It is
necessary to be familiar with the issues and interests of the United States of America and to
understand the consequences that can result from them. We should also be prepared to assist the
government with our dependability, involvement, predictability, and clarity. Along with supporting
the government, a Patriot must lend a hand to the community and help those around

Unrealistic Love Essay
We all wish to have that magical moment a moment that just leaves you in awe and feelings that
are indescribable. A couple of seconds that your heart just beats faster and faster and there s no
stopping the excitement, the happiness, the butterflies. Sounds like it was just taken out of a love
song, right? Truth of the matter is that lovesongs influence young culture on how love should feel
and create this stereotype that love is nothing but a moment filled with passion and desires. But
reality is that s not always the case and these songs set up unrealistic measures such as, a passionate
moment or falling in love solely on physical attraction; and if you don t achieve that moment or are
not attracted in that instant then you re not in... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These three songs are very popular in pop culture and country, primarily aimed at girls in their
teens and young adults. The purpose of this paper is to prove that these songs in the music industry
mold the point of view that teen s have regarding love.
Summary: Today was a fairytale Today was a fairytale , is a 4:01 song written by Taylor Swift
, and
produced by Nathan Chapman used in the soundtrack for major motion picture Valentine s Day.
The song describes exactly the title, a young girl who felt like a princess when she went out with
her prince charming on a magical date. The song describes a scenario in where she wore a pretty
dress and he wore a dark grey t shirt. She knew she loved him just by a simple glare, the way he
kissed her, how he made her heart beat faster and cause time to slow down due to his presence.
Analysis
The song basically describes the perfect date and all these emotions that are supposed to be felt to
indicate that you love the person. The artist adds classical elements and modern day elements to
her song making it more relatable to teens and also causing them to remember memories of when
they were kids watching Snow White and wishing one day they will be that princess. The artist
keeps repeating that this

The Drilling Sites Will Be Located Near The Ogallala Aquifer
One of the things that the commission need to keep in mind while deciding will be that the drilling
sites will be located near the Ogallala Aquifer. This is one of the biggest aquifers in the world
which means polluting the aquifer could have a large impact on hundreds of people s drinking
water. The commission has assured the community that they have used better equipment to protect
the pipes so they do not leak. However, the members of the community have little to no faith after
seeing how filthy the water still is that s in the ground. However, with the new equipment the oil
company has promised to use the Nebraska residents might feel safer (Hayden). Along with dirty

One of the key factors in solving the problem would be to put in place much stricter regulations
for companies to follow. If the government made companies work in a more responsible they
would have to pay more attention to where they are drilling, leading to less drilling sites in
neighborhoods or close to people s homes. The regulations on zoning could cause a chain
reaction of problem solvers, if the fracking wells start to be farther away from homes the water
that people are drinking will less likely be contaminated. For Oklahoma there are not yet
regulations on where to frack like other states. Drilling is taking place on what is called
basement rock, this is believed to be the cause of the tremblors. This is just one place where a
little change in law can be a big change for a community. Another easy solution would be
regulating the chemicals companies are allowed to use, the chemical cocktails used are
commonly filled with acids, detergents and poisons that are not regulated by federal laws.
Natalie Starkey, a writer for The Guardian, writes to explain that even areas that are not prone to
earthquakes may still experience them due to drilling. Companies have denied having any ties to
the rising number of quakes. The earthquakes that will appear will be very dangerous in most
cases. The lack of regulation can be tied back into this issue since there are no laws on where
companies can

Globalization of Korean Popular Culture in Asia
Globalization of Korean Popular Culture in Asia
1. Introduction
Since 1990s, Korean Popular Culture has had a strong influence in Asian countries, including
China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan and Singapore. This new popular cultural phenomenon in Asia
is called the Korean Wave , also known as hallyu in Korean pronunciation, which refers to the surge
of popularity of Korean popular culture abroad, particularly in Asia(Kin 284). The Korean Waveis
first coined in mid 1999 by journalists in Beijing who are surprised by the fast growing popularity
of Korean entertainment and popular Culture in China(Fiaola 1).
Korean Wave certainly brings a big hit to Asian countries, but at the same time, some anti Korean

This, originally, supposed to be the last work of Samsung Entertainment Group and the group

Although it costs only about 2% of average budget of Hollywood films, it was popular throughout
the world. As Diffrient mentioned, Shiri led to a pan Asian phenomenon after its releases in
Japan, Hong Kong and Taiwan(42). Later on, films such as Joint Security Area and My Sassy Girl
also gave a big hit to Asia, which further spread Korean popular culture to other Asian countries. As
a Hollywood reporter said, Korea has transformed itself from an embattled cinematic backwater into
the hottest film market in Asia (Segers 14).
Korean TV dramas also floods the daily programming of free to air TV stations and even become
part of the routine viewing habits of their respective audiences(Beng 2). Starting with What Is
Love All About and Stars in My Heart in the late 1990s, and Winter Sonata and Dae Jang Geum
in recent years, Korean television drama and its stars such as Bae Yong Jun and Lee Young Ae,
have attracted Asian audiences. Korean TV dramas were dubbed into Mandarin in Taiwan in
2004 and into Cantonese in Hong Kong in 2005. It was soon dubbed for broadcasting in China
and Japan in 2006. According to the Television Broadcast Limited(TVB), Dae Jang Geum had

The New Operator Instantiates A Class
OBJECT: refers to a particular instance of a class where the object can be a combination of
variables, functions, and data structures.
INSTANCE: The new operator instantiates a class by allocating memory for a new object and
returning a reference to that memory, instantiating a class means the same thing as creating an
object. When you create an object, you are creating an instance of a class.
CLASS: It is a template that describes the data and behavior associated with instances of that class.
When you instantiate a class you create an object that looks and feels like other instances of the
same class.

ENCAPSULATION; INHERITANCE; POLYMORPHISM:
Encapsulation: is binding the data with the code that manipulates it and keeps the data and the code
safe from external interference.
Inheritance: is the mechanism by which an object acquires the some/all properties of another
object. It supports the concept of hierarchical classification.
Polymorphism: means to process objects differently based on their data type.
In other words it means, one method with multiple implementation, for a certain class of action.
And which implementation to be used is decided at runtime depending upon the situation (i.e., data
type of the object)
This can be implemented by designing a generic interface, which provides generic methods for a
certain class of action and there can be multiple classes, which provides the implementation of these
generic methods.

#1 Appiah s thesis is about a homogeneous uniformity between an individual s culture and his /her
community. Appiah talks about the cosmopolitanism, the way cultures interact on a daily basis.
He focuses on three main interrelated issues globalization, cultural diversity, and ethical
consideration. Franklin Foer exposes some of the world s social problems. The book travels to
many different settings throughout world and explains the problems that those areas are
experiencing. It then shows how soccer brings the people of the area together as one and helps
them forget the problems and to enjoy life. The major theme in this book is that we are all the

for rich and powerful nations like the U.S to extend economic and cultural domination over poorer
ones. BriePoor countries have taken enormous loans from wealthy countries in order to stay afloat.
Paying off the compound interest from this debt prevents them from investing resources into their
own country. For example, between 1970 and 2002, the continent of Africa received $540 billion in
loans from wealthy nations through the World Bank and IMF. African countries have paid back
$550 billion of their debt but they still owe $295 billion. The difference is the result of compound
interest. Countries cannot focus on economic or human development when they are constantly
paying off debt; these countries will continue to remain undeveloped and the rich powerful nations

The Organizational Learning Strategy And How It Is...
This paper will summarize the organizational learning strategy and how it is significant as well as
essential, specifically in the course of the progression periods of a company, or once new
technology or new techniques within an industry are implemented. As a result, organizational
learning has established itself to be one of the most efficient ways for an entire company, a
division or a team to accept a wide range of new polls, tactics and concepts to allow for growth and
improvement (Senge, 1990). Thus, when comparing to traditional learningtechniques, or
classrooms, individual learning schedules and other techniques are employed, organizational
learning has proven itself to be far more efficient and effective overall, while costing less time and
money among other resources.
Nonetheless, Senge (1990) states that when working out an organizational learning strategy, there s
one objective above all that must be considered. Setting clear and concise goals, as by means of all
impartialities, is utmost significance. Upon conducting a training needs assessment, or planning out
how organizational learning will be disseminated, and eventually figuring out what the final result
in goal should be, clear and present goals for each and every step, as well as an ultimate goal, are
important to management along with organizational strategy.

Adventures of Huckleberry Finn plot summary
Huckleberry Finn starts the book by telling the reader how he and his friend, Tom Sawyer,
discovered a stash of gold. Each of the boys gets 6,000 dollars from the findings. To prevent the
boys from spending all the money or it getting robbed, Judge Thatcher took their money and gives
them a dollar a day. Huck then tells that the Widow Douglas is his new guardian. Huck says that
the Widow Douglas and her sister, Miss Watson, are attempting civilize him and teach him religion.

Miss Watson is also the owner of Jim, she was planning to sell him south so Jim ran away. Miss
Watson dies but sets Jim free feeling sorry that she was ever going to sell him. Miss Watson was
kind and very compassionate towards Huck and his wellbeing.
Setting
Huckleberry Finn is based in pre civil war Mississippi, the setting does move all over the
Mississippi River states. The time period is significant in that racism and slavery is an everyday
lifestyle. The setting also is shown by the way the characters talk, the lack of education is very
obvious in Huckleberry Finn. The story would be very different if the setting is any different.
Symbols
Huck and Jim becoming good friends symbolizes how race should never be an important thing in
friendship.
When Huck decides that turning Jim in symbolizes that society s opinions and views aren t always
the right thing to do.
Opening Scene
The opening scene is Huck telling of his new guardian Miss Watson, he tells of how annoying it
is that she wants to sivilize him. From this we can tell Huck s lack of education and that he is a
bit of a rebel. He does not want to listen or be clean, this proves true in the rest of the

Such company investments ought to end up increasing stock prices.
To make a fair evaluation of HFC and the other bidding companies we would compare the
companies WACC and the required rate of return which in this case we would use the Ke
(CAPM), where the Hershey s WACC is less than the CAPM (which is used to estimate the
required rate of return which is suitable for an asset). Taking the companies rates of return and the
percentage for the wacc, for each invested dollar that the Hershey, Wrigley, Nestle and Cadbury
Schweppes, 0.0041cents, 0cents, 0.0099cents and 0.0088cents respectively are values the
companies managed to gain. Hence, Hershey was fairly valued by the stock market because for
every dollar it was investing out of the bidding companies it was the one who was gaining less
(this is not taking into consideration Wrigley because it is a company which only concentrates on
chewing gums so it will not be fair to compare it with the other three companies.
Also, to support the point that the stock market did a fair valuation of Hershey, the market value of
equity for Hershey was low even though it had the highest price per share out of the other three
companies. It is the shares outstanding which were low that made Hershey incur a low amount of
equity.

The Obstinate Toy Soldier in Mere Christianity Essay
In C.S. Lewis book Mere Christianity, The Obstinate Toy Soldier is a chapter with good points.
Lewis takes his reader step by step through this chapter. In paragraph one he talks about how
humans are consumed with the here and now, so people do not really think about what would
have happened if humans never fell. Paragraph two is about how natural life and spiritual life are
not just separate, but opposing sides. Lewis says this because people are born one way and God
wants them another way. If these two sides, natural and spiritual life, combined then the way
people normally do things would be destroyed in the process. It is like the analogy about the
people who were brought up dirty and are afraid to take a bath. Lewis states in... Show more content

In the last few paragraphs, Lewis tells why we can not change toy soldiers into humans. His
reason is that just because one toy soldier changes into a human it does not affect any other toy
soldiers, while you can change one person and that one person can affect many other people.
LewisВ’ overall point is that God is trying to help us and transform us into spiritual beings, even
though we may not see it. One way people can see how we were helped is when Jesus died on the
cross for everyoneВ’s sins.
C.S. Lewis did an excellent job picking a title for this chapter. The Obstinate Toy Soldier is a
great title for this because humans are very obstinate. By obstinate, I mean not yielding to
argument, persuasion, or entreaty. I agree with this because people in general are stuck on their
own ideas or needs or wants and it is hard for them to see things in a different light. For example,
once, I wanted to buy this shirt in the mall, I knew it was a little too low cut, but I fought for it
anyway. I did not get the shirt, but it shows how I was so focused on how cute it was that I
wasnВ’t thinking about other people, like the guys I would be around when I would wear it. If I
had paid attention I would have seen things from a guyВ’s point of view and immediately seen why
I should not get the shirt. Lewis also talks about the Son, who became human Himself, then was

Readiness Audit For Gulliver Academy
Readiness Audit for Gulliver Academy
A curriculum management audit is an examination of a schools curriculum including the way it is
written and delivered to students (Phi delta kappa international: Growing and connecting leaders in
education, n.d.). The auditing team will compare 5 standards to the schools curriculum (Phi delta
kappa international: Growing and connecting leaders in education, n.d.). A team of auditors will use
the 5 standards to evaluate the effectiveness of a curriculum. The auditing team is usually
comprised of administrators, lead teachers, and a curriculum specialist. The audit team will conduct
site visits, interviews, and use documents to determine if the curriculum was written correctly,
taught properly, and tested effectively (Phi delta kappa international: Growing and connecting
leaders in education, n.d.). After a curriculum audit is completed a list of findings is given to the
person who ordered the audit (B. Poston, personal communication, July 30, 2014). The school will
then have to make adjustments to the curriculum; this can include eliminating programs or
practices completely, adjusting them, or improving upon them (English, 2008). An audit team is
usually put in place to conduct an audit but this time only one person was used. Bret Ginsberg who
is an administrative assistant was chosen to use one of 5 curriculum audit standards against the 5th
grade English curriculum. Standard 2 was chosen for the audit. Standard 2 states: a school system

Factors That Have Been Used By Managers
Introduction
There are many theories and strategies that managers used to achieve business success. The strategy
research and practical models assumes that organizations are able to adapt to their environment.
However that is not necessarily the case as there are many examples of mainstream approach that
has been criticised for not taking into account how environments can also constrain individuals and
organisations. Mainstream approach such as organizational ecology and institutional theory is
argued for not considering on how environments are also one of the factors that constrain individual
and organisations which are also known as task environment. Task environment is the external

Examples of strategies that have been used that do not take environment into account are such as
organizational ecology and institutional theory.
Organizational ecology is the combination of organizational demography and the population
ecology of organization which focus on scientific analysis and study of interactions among
organisms and their environment. Organizational ecology utilizes the insights from biology,
economics, and sociology, and employs statistical analysis to try to understand the conditions under
which organizations emerge, grow, and die. This strategy analyse the effects of the environment on
organization structure population. According to the organizational ecology theory by (Dimaggio
Powell, 1983) the strategy research and practical models assume that organizations are able to
adapt to their environment. However this is not always true as the theory did not take account of
economics problems such as sunk costs caused by environmental changes such as the case of The
Celler Kefauver Act of 1950 was just such a shock, in that it opened horizontal and vertical mergers
to federal scrutiny and encouraged firms to spend excess capital on other kinds of acquisitions.

Pathology of Tay Sachs Disease Essays
TAY SACHS DISEASE The disease is named after Warren Tay (1843 1927), a British
ophthalmologist and Bernard Sachs a New York neurologist. Warren Tay discovered a patient
with a cherry red spot on the retina of the eye which has become a clear signal of Tay sachs disease.
Later on Bernars Sachs described the cellular changes in Tay Sachs disease. Tay Sachs disease is a
rare autosomal recessive genetic disorderthat gradually destroys nerve cells in the brain and spinal
cord. Mutation in the HEXA gene on chromosome 15 causes Tay Sachs disease. The HEXA gene
gives instruction to make a part of an enzyme called ОІ hexosaminidase A, this enzymes plays a

Tay Sachs disease is also known as ОІ hexosaminidase A deficiency or GM2 ganglioside. Mutation
of the HEXA gene causes the О± and ОІ subunits to malfunction. In other words if the О± subunit
which is responsible for the degradation of GM2 ganglioside into GM3 ganglioside is not
produced then the hydrolyzing complex cannot form with GM2 activator protein. Eventually the
damaged caused by the accumulation of toxic levels of GM2 gangliosides leads to the destruction
of neurons, which causes the signs and symptoms of Tay Sachs disease and at last causing death of
the patient. The progressive neurodegeneration depends upon the speed and degree of GM2
ganglioside accumulation, which directly relies on the level of ОІ hoxosaminidase A present in the
body. Almost 95 130 mutations have been reported so far in the HEXA gene to cause Tay Sachs
disease. The mutation varies from base substitution, deletion, insersion to complex gene

The ability to authorize deployment of UN troops, mandate cease fires, and impose economic
penalties cannot be taken lightly which is why Australia is advocating for reforms to the current
membership and voting policies. Australia has served on the Security Council 5 times: 1946
7,1956 57,1985 86, and 2013 2014. During the most recent term, Australia played a key role in the
UN response to many world crises such as the Ebola outbreak, the crash of M17 over the Ukraine,
Libya s crisis, and the Syrian conflict. In 1998, Australia was a sponsor of the resolution supporting
the recruitment of a two thirds majority vote in the security council (A/RES/53/30) which
highlights its long term commitment to improving the fairness of voting in the security council.
Australia also supports reform that causes the Security Council to better reflect the modern age by
ensuring accessibility to smaller countries. Although, the permanent five were the among most
influential countries in the world back in 1945 when the council was created; the same cannot be
said today. Australia hopes that some of these countries will have their permanent membership

The City Of Wortropolis Faced An Economic Recession
The city of Wortropolis faced an economic recession between 1980 2000. Wortropolis was a city
that thrived from 1950 1980 with an economy based on large scale manufacturing. The
unemployment rate was 3% and the majority of residents owned their homes. In 1980 the city was
hit with corporate frauds and illegal investment practices which lead to the collapse of the banking
sector. The banking sector collapse lead to the economic recession. The recession caused problems
of increased poverty, social inequality, and crime. Between 1980 2000 the crime rates significantly
rose. The violent crime rate went from 5 per 100,000 to 50 per 100,000. The property crime rate
went from 100 per 100,000 to 400 per 100,000. Despite the large increase in crime during the
recession many of the white collar offenders were never apprehended. The recession initially
occurred due to the corporate fraud and illegal investment practices but they were not apprehended
like the people who committed blue collar crimes. This failure to apprehend the people can be
displayed through the labeling theory. The labeling theory can explain the failure to apprehend the
people who committed the white collar crimes that caused the recession, and why the rate of white
collar offences remained low through the sixty year period through differential enforcement and
labeling. The labeling theory can explain the failure to apprehend the people who sparked the
recession. The theory states that differential enforcement and

Reflection On Multiculturalism And Music
For part two of this project, I decided to interview a friend that I became very close to and can
relate a lot to since my time starting at the college, Joseph Ahn. I asked him four questions
regarding the environment in which he was raised in, what the music education program was
like there, how he would describe his own identity, and the outside influences that shaped his
identity. This is significant to me because I think it is important to always get new and unique
perspectives on your own ideas. It is imperative that researchers see multiple point of views so
that they can create an accurate representation of what they are studying and what they want to
accomplish. By simply looking at one s own experience is to only see one side of the argument.
I want to make sure that I am not being as biased as possible. I believe that everyone should try
to keep an open mind to everything that they learn and everything that they take a stance on. If
you only look at one side of the argument, then you will never truly learn and grow. I also wanted
to ask someone of color just like me because I feel like people of color bring unique perspectives

Abstract. Project Management Is An Essential Tool Which
Abstract
Project management is an essential tool which benefits businesses. There are numerous positions
relating to it, but is it enough to categorize it as a profession? The introduction will provide some
essential definition and remind us what is the project management about. Then, I will develop two
opposed point of view on this matter, the first one answering negatively and the second one
positively to the question asked above. The outlook will be defined progressively by providing
some elements required to be a project management practitioner, while keeping in mind the two
current of thoughts.

In 2008, the United Kingdom s Association for Project Management (APM), was denied by the
Privy Council for the application of the Royal Chartered status, an act that would recognize project
management as a legal profession. This rejection poses a greater problem: Is it really true that
project management is a profession that that be compared to teaching or medicine?
Are the previously cited organizations biased in their assumptions?
When technical people involved as project managers are asked this question, most of them will
certainly answer by saying that they might not describe themselves as project managers. For them,
project management is a methodology they will use to deliver their projects.
A basketball player who is highly competent and earning a living at what most do for a hobby will
be entitled as a professional. However, meeting these criteria does not mean than basketball is a
profession although such a player might call it his profession, his job.
In my opinion this is a false logic, project management is not a profession but a process as it
scored less than 34 out of a possible 100 points when assessed against 22 attributes defined by
Zwerman and Thomas et al during a study funded in part by PMI and published in 2004. They
reached the conclusion that project management is not a profession and will likely not be one in
the foreseeable future.
To become a profession, one must be able to define and control the body of knowledge. The

Bill Nye Vs Ham
Bill Nye vs. Ken Ham By: Zan The debate between creationists and evolutionists has been raging
on for centuries. The clash between these opposing views was illustrated through the debate of
Bill Nye and Ken Ham. Bill Nye being from the evolutionist side, and Ken Ham from the
creationist. After the debate was over the winner I believe was quite evident, Bill Nye. I believe
that Bill Nye won because his arguments were concrete, accurate and relatable. He argued over
the age of the age of Earth , the validity of the story of Noah s Ark , and the possibility that all
animals were once herbivores. Primarily, Bill Nye argues that the Earth is way over 6000 years
old. He says that it isn t possible for Earth to be so young, because there is scientific

Globalization And Its Effects On Society
Globalization can be described as the interaction and integration among the people, companies,
and governments of different nations (http://www.globalization101.org/what is globalization/).
For the past century, there have been countless debates over whether the effects of globalization
are positive or negative. The topic of globalization is seen as one of the most debatable topics in
our current society and is often discussed during political debates before elections. This paper
will focus on the negative effects of globalization and the chaotic impact it can have on countries
across the globe. Globalization is one of the main causes of the spread of infectious diseases that
can often lead to fatal outcomes and a sense of fear felt throughout an entire nation. Infectious
diseases are the leading cause of death among children and adolescents, and are one of the leading
causes of death among adults (Infectious disease: a persistent threat). Examples of these infectious
diseases that became widespread due to globalization include: the Bubonic Plague, Measles,
Smallpox, Malaria, Tuberculosis, and most recently, the Ebola virus of 2014. All of these diseases
were direct results of globalization, caused millions of deaths, and established a state of panic
within the countries affected.
Globalization can contribute to the spread of disease in many different ways. The main way
globalization facilitates the spread of disease is through trade between countries. Trade is a major

Otto Von Bismarck s Triple Alliance During World War I
The countries of Europe formed various alliances with each other in the years leading up to World
War I, eventually splitting the continent in two. Otto von Bismarck was instrumental in forming
many of these alliances in an attempt to keep the European Concert together. He was eventually
dismissed by Kaiser Wilhelm II, but would still accurately predict the beginning of the first
international war.
Initially, the Triple Alliance was a defensive pact between Germany, Austria Hungary, and Italy. It
guaranteed mutual support in event of an attack by another power. The Triple Entente, between
Britain, Russia, France, was a treaty in direct response to the Triple Alliance. It was a series of
mutual defense pacts that was to stay in place for the duration of the Triple Alliance. If a member
of the Triple Alliance attacked a member of the Triple Entente, the members of the Triple Entente
could attack the aggressor and the allies of the aggressor once they attacked. Going back a bit, Otto
von Bismarck s greatest diplomatic achievement, the Reinsurance Treaty, was a treaty between
Germany Russia guaranteeing they would remain neutral in a war unless Germany attacked France
or Russia attacked ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Triple Alliance was initially a strength, offering protection to a weak Austro Hungarian Empire
and Italy. However, the fear it generated in countries such as Russia, Britain, France (future Triple
Entente) would lead to turmoil in Europe. The Reinsurance Treaty was also strong, preventing
conflict between the opposing sides that would go to fight the war to end all wars. When Kaiser
Wilhelm II let the Reinsurance Treaty expire, Germany now had two enemies, one to the east and
one to the west. The Triple Entente of 1907 was intended to increase security between Britain,
Russia, and France. The treaty failed to do this in the end, only heightening the arms race which
would ultimately lead to World War

Elton John Major Accomplishments
The Legacy of Sir Elton John
Elton John pioneered his own flavor of music that shaped the music world into what it is today.
From his numerous hit albums to his love for philanthropy; Elton John has made a large impact on
the world, and will be remembered for generations for doing so.
Elton John had a comfortable childhood, and discovered his musical talents from a very young age.
He learned to play piano by ear by the age of four, and soon became adept at playing a wide range
of classical pieces (Elton John). Elton Won a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Musicas a youth;
began playing piano with a band called Blueology. Although Elton had many musical talents he
had problems with conforming to the perfect child his parents wanted him to be. John s problem

At a crucial part in his career, John answered an ad for songwriters run by Liberty Records.
Answering the same ad was Bernie Taupin and Liberty teamed up with the two to write a
commercial jingle as well as songs for other artists (Ryzik). Intelligently John cut a demo of one
of their songs, which attracted the interest of the Beatles music publisher Dick James. James
signed the pair to a songwriting contract that Gave them an income of about ten pounds, which
was the start of his rise to stardom (Ryzik). John s fame rapidly accelerated after he began
performing in the United States in the 70 s. He hid his shyness on stage by assuming an
outrageous stage personality, wearing outlandish clothes and leaping around as he played the
piano. Elton John s increasing visibility also helped his album move up the charts on the American

NCR Country Club Case Study
NCR Country Club was chartered as a benefit for the majority of National Cash Register
employees. NCR employees by late 1990s were aging rapidly, and their core membership was
declining drastically. NCR country membership club was not attracting new members, especially
young families within its precinct. NRC needed to increase and attract as many social groups as
possible. NCR management board confined to McMahon consulting Group to steer the country
club in a new strategic direction.
If you were McMahon Group, how would you present the findings of your study to the NCRCC
board? Explain the rationale for your chosen method.
Data presentation of research findings will depend on the research methodology used to collect
data. Research data can be collected by using qualitative or quantitative techniques. Mc Mahon
group used focus groups which are a qualitative method of collecting data. The analysis and
presentation of data in qualitative research rely on the use of words to explain the research
findings. Raw data collected from either primary or secondary sources need to be in a form that
can facilitate analysis and interpretation. Results of the study, for instance, can be presented by the
use of graphs, pie charts, and tables. Evaluating which of this approach is suitable depends on the
intricacy and amount of data presented (Attride, 2001).
Qualitative research methods use semi structured and unstructured methods to collect data. The

In the 1700 s the piano was invented by Bartolomeo Cristofori in Florence, Italy first introduced to

instrument played by talented people in the world. (Wendy Powers, 2003) Music has lived on from

There was an Economic decline; the powerful Habsburgs of Spain had dominated most of Italy in
one form or another starting 1559 to 1713, and music and art continued to speak freely.
In developing the piano Bartolomeo Cristofori had been working on getting a feel for the
harpsichord to respond to touch. He developed a mechanical action that made it possible to
sound simultaneously as many notes as one had fingers and do to this to be able to produce any
work in the entire literature of Western music with variations of loud and soft according to the
player s touch at the keyboard. It included a complex mechanical action with a hammer that rose
towards a string four times as fast as the finger, an escapement to allow the hammer to rebound
from the freely vibrating string, a check for the hammer to prevent bouncing, and a shift so the
hammer would play only one of the two strings to reduce volume. Cristofori s hammer mechanism
was so well designed, that no other of comparable sensitivity and reliability was developed as
known for another seventy five years. The highly compound accomplishment of the modern piano
may be sketched directly to his original conception. Todays the piano sustains pitches in a lyrical
fashion, creating all musical styles and moods and is universal all because of Bartolomeo Cristofori

Developing A Theory Of Information Science Research
Developing a Theory in Information Science Research: A Review of Experts Advice
Abstract
Despite the growing number of theories within the field of information science, it still remains a
difficult task for some emerging scholars in the field to clearly articulate the development of new
theories from research studies. This paper reviewed and collated the different views of scholars on
what a theory is and how a good theory can be developed. It explains the concept of a theory and
the different components that make up a theory. The paper discusses the different processes of
theory development by emphasizing what theory is and what theory is not. This review found that
scholars differ in their definition of a theory, which led to using terms such as model, paradigm,
framework and theory interchangeably. It found the lack of theoretical construct in a study to be
one of the factors why articles are rejected for publication. It pointed that producing a paper that
contributes to theory rests on the ability of scholars to develop original and new ideas that bring
something insightful into scholarship, which can be applied to bring about fresh thinking. This
paper may be of benefit to researchers, especially younger academics who are the future of
scholarship in the field of information science and other disciplines.
Introduction
Studies with strong theoretical perspectives are often regarded as adding value to any field of
learning. It is therefore essential for scholars

The Soldier , by Rupert Brooke, Dulce et

He also shows the courage of the soldiers by writing, Men marched asleep . Many had lost their
boots, but limped on, blood shod . The first stanza has eight lines and follows the rhyming scheme
of A, B, A, B through out the poem.
Owen uses this stanza as a tool to build up the story and is able to set the scene for the reader.
Owen uses many similes in this poem and writes, Bent double, like old beggars under sacks, and
Knock kneed, coughing like hags, we cursed through sludge . Owen uses a number of verbs as
adjectives such as haunting flares and dropping flares… The second Stanza is six lines and it
also has the rhyming scheme A, B, A, B, C, D.
Throughout the stanza Owen uses graphic detail to emphasise the pain of the soldiers, which
creates for the reader a violent image, which is calmed down by the last line, Of gas shells
dropping softly behind. The next line is, Gas! Gas! Quick, boys! Again this changes the mood,
from peaceful to violent. The reader then becomes prepared for some action in the poem. This is
a swift build up of description into the untimely demise of one of the soldiers. There are a lot of
one word sentences and exclamation marks to show the panic and horror of the soldiers.
The soldier, who is harmed by the gas bomb, is described by Wilfred
Owen as a helpless creature through the usage of words such as
floundering . The polluted air around him is described as a green
sea.

Viet Nam Essay
Tactics in Vietnam were an important factor in the victory of the Vietcong over the U.S. There
were fundamental differences in their fighting methods, which the Vietcong were able to take full
advantage of. The Vietcong used Guerrilla warfare, this meant that they used their knowledge of
the area they were fighting in to hinder the U.S. The U.S army had been used to conventional
warfare, in the form of bouts of fighting. Guerrilla warfare meant that they had to be constantly
alert and Booby traps meant that many soldiers died and witnessed horrific deaths. This was
naturally unnerving for the soldiers concerned, particularly so because many of the soldiers were

The main tactic employed by the U.S was known as search and destroy . This meant hunting
down and killing Vietcong. The Vietcong used a similar tactic called find and kill , although
this was conceptually the same as search and destroy it was much more successful. One reason
for this was that the U.S soldiers wore uniforms and were easier to pick out. Another reason was
that the U.S soldiers had to contend with Vietcong mines and booby traps. These included what
was known as a Punji trap, which was a deep hole filled with spikes covered with poison of
faeces. Another was the Bouncing Betty which was a mine under the soil with three prongs that
when steed on would explode. It was extremely disconcerting for soldiers to know that their next
step could be their last. This caused a whole host of mental problems for the U.S soldiers. Booby
traps accounted for %11 of deaths and %17 of wounds in the war.
The U.S used pacification , to win the hearts and minds of the South Vietnamese. This meant that
help was given to the villages. Schools and hospitals were built. This policy was a success; many
South Vietnamese remained in support of the Americans and were immune to the persuasive talk of
communist infiltrators. However those who were already convinced as to the virtues of
communism would not be swayed. The Vietcong used statistics such as the tally of American
planes being shot down, in order to keep up morale and keep the troops faithful and

Leveraging Labor Relations
Compensation and Benefits
Leveraging Labor Relations
Companies are interested in leveraging relationships with their employees in order to improve the
quality of the health care they provide. Labor relations refer to managing situations between
companies and their employees in different unions. This activity is usually attributed to human
resources management. Therefore, this ensures that the objectives of the company are reflected by
these relations.
It is important that companies try to improve the health care they provide their employees. This is
one of the most important issues that unions are trying to improve. However, in order to reach this
objective, companies must increase their investments in health care packages. This leads to
increased leverage (Investopedia, 2012). In other words, these companies must increase their debt
in order to improve health care services.
This is usually performed by borrowing more money from banks. This is not always a good idea
for most companies. This is because some of them already have large sums of money borrowed
from banks, and most banks prefer not to increase these amounts. In addition to this, interest rates
determine the increase of the investments made in improving health care services.
Another strategy that company can use in order to improve the health care services they provide to
their employees is represented by better negotiations between these companies and health care
services providers. These providers can

The Power Of Representing Problems As A Knowledge Network
Abstract IN this paper we review the power of representing problems as a knowledge network and
some of the applications of knowledge networks in civil engineering through explaining the search
methodology of Dijkstra and kruskal algorithms which are two of the most common algorithms
applied in this field
Keywords Knowledge Network; Graph Theory; Civil Engineering, dijkstras algorithm, kruskal
algoithm; shortest path; minimum spanning tree; trusses
I.INTRODUCTION
This paper reviews 3 applications for knowledge networks in civil engineering, but before we
review these problem we talk about the importance of problem representation and how it can
transfer the experience of in certain field to another, that s what Simon did in the known number
scrabble game.
In section two we explain what is knowledge network and how does it work, in section three we
review the shortest path problem and how to apply dijkstra algorithm, in section four we review the
minimum spanning tree (MST) problem and how to solve it using kruskal algorithm, in section five
we explain the representation of trusses as a networks and how could this be useful.
II.KNOWLEDGE NETWORK
The network consists of group of points represented by nodes and are connected through group of
lines called edges, if every edge in the graph has a direction then the graph is directed

Why Teenagers Should Start Later Essay
Imagine this, it s 10:30 p.m. and you are walking down the street when a cop approaches you.
The next thing you know you re in big trouble for being on the streets after 10:00 p.m. Don t like
the sound of that do you? My city council is considering a curfew that would make it illegal for
teenagers to be out on the streets after 10:00 p.m. on weekdays and after midnight on weekends. I
disagree with this consideration because teenagers may have to work late, they could be in danger,
or there could be an emergency.
First of all, some teenagers end up working late at night and can t help that. Working night shift
causes teenagers to get home late. Most teenagers don t have a car, so they walk to and from work.
If there is a curfew it will get the

Essay Historians Changing Opinions of Oliver Cromwell
Oliver Cromwell was a well known military dictator. He helped the Parliamentarians win the First
Civil War and was named Lord Protector. He died in 1658 but many people still remember him
as one of the best leaders in history although others believe he was a harsh tyrant and always
wanted too much power for himself. Throughout the years, numerous historians have changed their
views on whether he was a good leader or not. This work will look at three interpretations from
different people on who Cromwell was and what he was like and compare them.
Winstanley said, Cromwell was the English monster who tried to destroy our monarchy. William
Winstanley, a writer and diarist, was a strong Royalist. He was also known as The Man Who Saved

These facts are well documented and not just Winstanley s opinion.
At the time of this statement, Cromwell was already dead so Winstanley did not to have to worry
about what he could do to him. In some ways, Winstanley is the well qualified to make a statement
as he actually lived at the same time as Cromwell where the other two people making statements
did not and relied on evidence to make their judgements. Of course the fact he has different beliefs
would influence his viewpoint.
Rosebery said about Cromwell, He was the strong raiser and sustainer of the power of the Empire
of England.
Lord Rosebery, 1899, was the Prime Minister from 1894 to 1895, the leader of the Liberal party and
a supporter of the British Empire. He was a well read, educated man and a member of the nobility.
As a member of the nobility with an Earldom, Rosebery would be more similar in some ways to a
Royalist. However he was also a well educated person and leader of the Liberal party so would
possibly have a more balanced point of view.
His statement was written two centuries after Cromwell and is based on historic evidence and his
ability to read books but not from first hand experience. This means he has other peoples biased
reports to read and these could change they way he thinks about Cromwell without it perhaps being
true.
The Boer War was happening around the same time as Rosebery made this statement and

Analysis Of A Christmas Story By Truman Capote
In the short story A Christmas Story by Truman Capote, the theme of friendship and its
importance to enjoy a valuable life is key to the development of the story. In this tale, a young
boy named Buddy lives with both his family, and his best friend. This best friend happens to be
one of his distant sixty year old woman cousins. These relatives they live with treat both Buddy
and his friend as if they are inferior, but though [the rest of the family has] power over [them] and
frequently [makes them] cry, [they] are not, on the whole, too much aware of them. [They] are each
other s best friend (Capote). Because they have each other, they can ignore the rest of their uncaring
family. This protection they provide for one another, gives them the happy life they want, regardless
of their... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They have adventures and manage to make do with what little money they have (Buddy and his
friend are very poor considering it is The Great Depression). Even though they have very little,
each year they hope to get each other something for Christmas, but each year they are
disappointed as it is difficult to buy anything in their situation. Instead of buying new
materialistic things that they can t afford, they make kites for one another. They lay out in the
grass with their new kites and ponder life, God, and heaven, I ll wager it never happens. I ll
wager at the very end a body realizes the lord has already shown Himself. That things as they are
[...] just what they ve always seen, was seeing Him. As for me, I could leave the world with today
in my eyes (Capote). Buddy s friend says that she could remember this day until she dies because
she is so happy with her friend Buddy. She knows that she can stay in this moment because she is
completely content. In the last part of the story, Buddy leaves for military school and is sent away

  • 2. Rubin Hurricane Carter Depicted In The Movie The... Everyday extraordinary events happen. Events of survival, overcoming great odds, sometimes luck and occasionally stories of great injustice. The story of Rubin Hurricane Carter could defiantly be perceived as one of great injustice. It could also be perceived as a immensely manipulated story made popular due to the views of famous and important people. The most popular belief is the story showcased in the 1999 movie The Hurricane. The film tells the story of an innocent carter, framed for the murder of three innocent white people and sentenced to jail for life only to be freed. Upon viewing the film you are left believing that carter is a wonderful human being incapable of the murders. However the story of the real Rubin Carter has much to be desired. Many facts of the events remain the same, rarely are events changed completely , but much is left out or altered. This is achieved in the film by silencing significant people. The primary example of this is John Artis. John Artis was Rubin s alleged accomplice at the night of the shootings. John was mentioned maybe twice throughout the whole film even though he also allegedly committed the crimes. There are other examples of silencing. Other notable people silenced are; the victims families, the prosecuting lawyers and others officers involved in Rubin s arrest. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A couple of seconds that your heart just beats faster and faster and there s no stopping the excitement, the happiness, the butterflies. Sounds like it was just taken out of a love song, right? Truth of the matter is that lovesongs influence young culture on how love should feel and create this stereotype that love is nothing but a moment filled with passion and desires. But reality is that s not always the case and these songs set up unrealistic measures such as, a passionate moment or falling in love solely on physical attraction; and if you don t achieve that moment or are not attracted in that instant then you re not in... The song describes exactly the title, a young girl who felt like a princess when she went out with her prince charming on a magical date. The song describes a scenario in where she wore a pretty dress and he wore a dark grey t shirt. She knew she loved him just by a simple glare, the way he kissed her, how he made her heart beat faster and cause time to slow down due to his presence. Analysis The song basically describes the perfect date and all these emotions that are supposed to be felt to indicate that you love the person. The artist adds classical elements and modern day elements to her song making it more relatable to teens and also causing them to remember memories of when they were kids watching Snow White and wishing one day they will be that princess. The Drilling Sites Will Be Located Near The Ogallala Aquifer One of the things that the commission need to keep in mind while deciding will be that the drilling sites will be located near the Ogallala Aquifer. This is one of the biggest aquifers in the world which means polluting the aquifer could have a large impact on hundreds of people s drinking water. The commission has assured the community that they have used better equipment to protect the pipes so they do not leak. However, the members of the community have little to no faith after seeing how filthy the water still is that s in the ground. However, with the new equipment the oil company has promised to use the Nebraska residents might feel safer (Hayden). One of the key factors in solving the problem would be to put in place much stricter regulations for companies to follow. If the government made companies work in a more responsible they would have to pay more attention to where they are drilling, leading to less drilling sites in neighborhoods or close to people s homes. The regulations on zoning could cause a chain reaction of problem solvers, if the fracking wells start to be farther away from homes the water that people are drinking will less likely be contaminated. For Oklahoma there are not yet regulations on where to frack like other states. Drilling is taking place on what is called basement rock, this is believed to be the cause of the tremblors. This is just one place where a little change in law can be a big change for a community. Another easy solution would be regulating the chemicals companies are allowed to use, the chemical cocktails used are commonly filled with acids, detergents and poisons that are not regulated by federal laws. Natalie Starkey, a writer for The Guardian, writes to explain that even areas that are not prone to earthquakes may still experience them due to drilling. Companies have denied having any ties to the rising number of quakes. The earthquakes that will appear will be very dangerous in most cases. The lack of regulation can be tied back into this issue since there are no laws on where companies can ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This paper will summarize the organizational learning strategy and how it is significant as well as essential, specifically in the course of the progression periods of a company, or once new technology or new techniques within an industry are implemented. As a result, organizational learning has established itself to be one of the most efficient ways for an entire company, a division or a team to accept a wide range of new polls, tactics and concepts to allow for growth and improvement (Senge, 1990). Thus, when comparing to traditional learningtechniques, or classrooms, individual learning schedules and other techniques are employed, organizational learning has proven itself to be far more efficient and effective overall, while costing less time and money among other resources. Nonetheless, Senge (1990) states that when working out an organizational learning strategy, there s one objective above all that must be considered. Setting clear and concise goals, as by means of all impartialities, is utmost significance. Upon conducting a training needs assessment, or planning out how organizational learning will be disseminated, and eventually figuring out what the final result in goal should be, clear and present goals for each and every step, as well as an ultimate goal, are important to management along with organizational strategy. Lewis takes his reader step by step through this chapter. In paragraph one he talks about how humans are consumed with the here and now, so people do not really think about what would have happened if humans never fell. Paragraph two is about how natural life and spiritual life are not just separate, but opposing sides. Lewis says this because people are born one way and God wants them another way. If these two sides, natural and spiritual life, combined then the way people normally do things would be destroyed in the process. It is like the analogy about the people who were brought up dirty and are afraid to take a bath. Lewis states in... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... His reason is that just because one toy soldier changes into a human it does not affect any other toy soldiers, while you can change one person and that one person can affect many other people. LewisВ’ overall point is that God is trying to help us and transform us into spiritual beings, even though we may not see it. One way people can see how we were helped is when Jesus died on the cross for everyoneВ’s sins. C.S. Lewis did an excellent job picking a title for this chapter. The Obstinate Toy Soldier is a great title for this because humans are very obstinate. By obstinate, I mean not yielding to argument, persuasion, or entreaty. I agree with this because people in general are stuck on their own ideas or needs or wants and it is hard for them to see things in a different light. I did not get the shirt, but it shows how I was so focused on how cute it was that I wasnВ’t thinking about other people, like the guys I would be around when I would wear it. Eventually the damaged caused by the accumulation of toxic levels of GM2 gangliosides leads to the destruction of neurons, which causes the signs and symptoms of Tay Sachs disease and at last causing death of the patient. Wortropolis was a city that thrived from 1950 1980 with an economy based on large scale manufacturing. The unemployment rate was 3% and the majority of residents owned their homes. In 1980 the city was hit with corporate frauds and illegal investment practices which lead to the collapse of the banking sector. The banking sector collapse lead to the economic recession. The recession caused problems of increased poverty, social inequality, and crime. Between 1980 2000 the crime rates significantly rose. Otto von Bismarck was instrumental in forming many of these alliances in an attempt to keep the European Concert together. He was eventually dismissed by Kaiser Wilhelm II, but would still accurately predict the beginning of the first international war. Initially, the Triple Alliance was a defensive pact between Germany, Austria Hungary, and Italy. It guaranteed mutual support in event of an attack by another power. The Triple Entente, between Britain, Russia, France, was a treaty in direct response to the Triple Alliance. There was an Economic decline; the powerful Habsburgs of Spain had dominated most of Italy in one form or another starting 1559 to 1713, and music and art continued to speak freely. In developing the piano Bartolomeo Cristofori had been working on getting a feel for the harpsichord to respond to touch. He developed a mechanical action that made it possible to sound simultaneously as many notes as one had fingers and do to this to be able to produce any work in the entire literature of Western music with variations of loud and soft according to the player s touch at the keyboard. It included a complex mechanical action with a hammer that rose towards a string four times as fast as the finger, an escapement to allow the hammer to rebound from the freely vibrating string, a check for the hammer to prevent bouncing, and a shift so the hammer would play only one of the two strings to reduce volume. Cristofori s hammer mechanism was so well designed, that no other of comparable sensitivity and reliability was developed as known for another seventy five years. The highly compound accomplishment of the modern piano may be sketched directly to his original conception. Developing A Theory Of Information Science Research Developing a Theory in Information Science Research: A Review of Experts Advice Abstract Despite the growing number of theories within the field of information science, it still remains a difficult task for some emerging scholars in the field to clearly articulate the development of new theories from research studies. This paper reviewed and collated the different views of scholars on what a theory is and how a good theory can be developed. It explains the concept of a theory and the different components that make up a theory. The paper discusses the different processes of theory development by emphasizing what theory is and what theory is not. This review found that scholars differ in their definition of a theory, which led to using terms such as model, paradigm, framework and theory interchangeably. It found the lack of theoretical construct in a study to be one of the factors why articles are rejected for publication. It pointed that producing a paper that contributes to theory rests on the ability of scholars to develop original and new ideas that bring something insightful into scholarship, which can be applied to bring about fresh thinking. This paper may be of benefit to researchers, especially younger academics who are the future of scholarship in the field of information science and other disciplines. Owen uses many similes in this poem and writes, Bent double, like old beggars under sacks, and Knock kneed, coughing like hags, we cursed through sludge . The Vietcong used a similar tactic called find and kill , although this was conceptually the same as search and destroy it was much more successful. One reason for this was that the U.S soldiers wore uniforms and were easier to pick out. Another reason was that the U.S soldiers had to contend with Vietcong mines and booby traps. These included what was known as a Punji trap, which was a deep hole filled with spikes covered with poison of faeces. Another was the Bouncing Betty which was a mine under the soil with three prongs that when steed on would explode. It was extremely disconcerting for soldiers to know that their next step could be their last. This caused a whole host of mental problems for the U.S soldiers. Booby traps accounted for %11 of deaths and %17 of wounds in the war. The U.S used pacification , to win the hearts and minds of the South Vietnamese. This meant that help was given to the villages. Schools and hospitals were built. This policy was a success; many South Vietnamese remained in support of the Americans and were immune to the persuasive talk of communist infiltrators. Leveraging Labor Relations Compensation and Benefits Leveraging Labor Relations Companies are interested in leveraging relationships with their employees in order to improve the quality of the health care they provide. Labor relations refer to managing situations between companies and their employees in different unions. This activity is usually attributed to human resources management. Therefore, this ensures that the objectives of the company are reflected by these relations. It is important that companies try to improve the health care they provide their employees. This is one of the most important issues that unions are trying to improve. However, in order to reach this objective, companies must increase their investments in health care packages. This leads to increased leverage (Investopedia, 2012). In other words, these companies must increase their debt in order to improve health care services. This is usually performed by borrowing more money from banks. This is not always a good idea for most companies. This is because some of them already have large sums of money borrowed from banks, and most banks prefer not to increase these amounts. In addition to this, interest rates determine the increase of the investments made in improving health care services. Another strategy that company can use in order to improve the health care services they provide to their employees is represented by better negotiations between these companies and health care services providers.
