Key Themes In Macbeth
In the story of Macbeth there are a myriad of themes that can be explored and analyzed within the
text, which become distinct and unique in their own way. As the main character, Macbeth, goes
through continuous conflict and self doubt based on the morality of his choices; other characters
slowly get assorted within the chaos that ultimately changes and influences the scenes and murders
that play out throughout the book. Lady Macbeth(Macbeth s wife) can be attributed to most of her
husband s actions as she calls his manhood and pride into question over and over again. Lady
Macbeth manipulates her husband into murdering King Duncanand anyone else that threatens their
power, which steadily begins to address her own morality as a human being. As the book
continues, further on, a sense of guilt can be discovered as part of the aftermath of murdering
Duncan. Near the end Lady Macbeth begins to feel a burden of guilt. This burden towards the
innocent and brutal murders committed drives her into madness, which ultimately leads to her own
death. In essence, Shakespeare s Macbeth suggests a vision of the world in which Macbeth s
vaulting ambition and lust for power is... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the book there are a plethora of King Duncan s, an example is Banquo (one of his previous best
friends) who knows about the witches prophecy and what it says about Macbeth. Back when he
murdered Duncan, Macbeth and his wife planted the evidence in the throne room by putting
bloody daggers on all the royal individuals within the room. In this sequence of events and the way
it took place Banquo had become suspicious, because the whole thing looked too good to be true
and he also heard from the witches that Macbeth would be the King of Scotland. Lady Macbeth
catches on and repeats the whole scenario into manipulating her husband (now the king) into killing
anyone, even his own best friend, that threatens his

Project Management Scheduling
Title
Successful Project Management Scheduling outcomes: A Theoretical Comparative Analysis of
networking techniques between Event, Chain with other traditional methodologies
Research Question
Why it is important to conduct a comparative analysis of Event, Chain with other traditional
methodologies and investigate how it contributes in being Successful scheduling techniques in
Project Management discipline?
Introduction to Dissertation
Nowadays, Project scheduling plays lot of benefactor in executing any type of project in allotted

CCPM methodology tackles resource contention before the project begins, aggregate the safety in
specified locations (buffers) rather then leaving it. The critical chain path typically is not the same
as the traditional critical path. CCPM is not merely a scheduling technique. The CCPM
methodology explicitly states that without the necessary changes in the scheduling rules will not
only fail to achieve improvement but may actually degrade performance.
Event chain methodology, a new way of scheduling is an uncertainty modeling and schedule
network analysis technique that is focused on identifying and managing events and event chains
that affect project schedules. Event chain methodology helps to mitigate the negative impact of
psychological heuristics and biases, as well as to allow for easy modeling of uncertainties in the
project schedules.
Event Chain Methodology Objectives:
1. Mitigate effect motivational and cognitive biases in estimating and scheduling. In many cases,
project managers intentionally or unintentionally create project schedules that are impossible to
implement.
2. Simplify the process of defining risks and uncertainties in project schedules, particularly improve
the ability to provide reality checks and visualize multiple events.
3. Perform more accurate quantitative analysis while taking to an account such factors as
relationship between different events and actual moment of the events. Intaver Institute (N.D)

Click-Bait Definition
Although all the writers have their own thoughts, reasoning and definition of click bait, they still
share the common ground of click bait being a thing of negativity amongst people. All four
articles really come together on one thing, being that click bait exists but really break apart when
it comes to the little details and opinions regarding the debate. Hughes article reports that like most
people her age, she is getting her news media from mobile devices that come from Twitter or
Facebook. She takes several things into account when picking a relevant article, like: if the source
is liable, if the conversation seems legit and most importantly the headlines. Hughes claims that
clickbait creators don t trust us readers and what they are doing... Show more content on

He emphasizes that as the amount of views started becoming more respected, people started trying
to cheat the system. But views don t track if someone watched or read a whole story, they only
track how many people clicked into the link. So of course the creators took advantage of that and
started creating juicy headlines that would just result in a click, or view also known as click bait .
He argues that even though the website has all the extra views, it still isn t going to be trusted
by viewers, resulting in them not returning back to that website. Mark s suggested that with our
attention constantly shifting every three minutes because of smart phones and the internet we
are drawn to click bait. As Mark reports, click bait has been around in newspaper articles from the
19th century and with click bait combined with hypermedia it leads us down cognitive paths,
resulting in us not being able to find our way back to the main article. On the census of quality,
Berger and Mark s seem to come to an agreement. Berger states that click bait is bad because it
over promises and under delivers. It leads us to believe that we are clicking into something that is
going to be worth it, but then we end up disappointed, losing trust and not returning back. Mark
states that click bait is an attention distraction that can lead to higher stress, a bad mood and lower

Who Was The Nationalist Movement Of Zionism
The nationalist movement of Zionism emerged out of the Jewish people s need for a national
state of their own. This idea harkens back to the establishment of the Kingdom of Israel after the
Exodus. The Holy Land and all of its historic prestige persisted in Jewish culture as they spread
throughout the Diaspora for 2000 years.
Restrictions and persecution followed the Jewish people as they were met with prejudice
throughout Eastern and Western Europe. Organized political Zionismgrew from tsarist Russia,
where pogroms carried out against the Russian and Polish Jews in the 1880 s killed thousands.
Originating in Russia in 1884, an agency named the Lovers of Zion assisted the emigration of Jews
to Palestine, where they organized small farms. During this time Leon Pinsker wrote Auto
Emancipation , a Zionist pamphlet in which he posits an answer to the Jewish Question . He
argues that Jews are despised all over the world, and are viewed as aliens that cannot be
assimilated. He also states, Since it is not to be our mission to reform mankind, we must see what
we have to do for ourselves under the circumstances.
Another prominent Zionist activist was Theodor Herzel who wrote the Jewish State in 1896,
where he asserts that the Jews comprised a nation without a political state. It is important to note
that both Pinsker and Herzel did not directly name Palestine as the location for a Jewish state. The
following year, Herzel organized the first Zionist Congress in Basel in

Theme of Voice in Their Eyes Were Watching God Essay
Breaking Through
In the novel Their Eyes Were Watching God written by Zora Neale Hurston, Janie the protagonist
is seen by critics as having no voice. For all women silence knows no boundaries of race or
culture, and Janie is no exception. Hurston characterizes Janie with the same silence that women at
that time period were forced into, (complete submission.) Women were to be seen and not heard.
Janie spends forty years of her life, learning to achieve/find, her voice against the over ruling and
dominate men in her life. But in the end Janie comes out the victor, breaking the silence. In her
essay What do Feminist Critics Want? Gilbert states, Like Wagner s master singers....men had the
power of speech,[but]....women ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Janie s actions are stronger than words, Janie s trial at the end of the novel, proves, Janie s silence to
be more powerful than articulation.
Hurston uses the narrative consciousness in Their Eyes, to characterize those who are silent and
lack their own voice, by doing this Hurston gives depth, to those whose voices, are heard.
Throughout the entire novel, the development of the male voice seems to parallel the
development of Janie s. The men in Janie s life have voices, and it is by her relationships with
these men, that Janie s voice gets stronger. Janie becomes more self confident with each
relationship she endures. Hurston, by using the consciousness narrative, is actually speaking for
Janie; the narrator and Janie are like one. This might be the reason that Hurston gives little voice
to Janie s character. Janie is not silenced in the novel, she is expressed through the narrative.
Which if the reader does not close read, the reader will not comprehend this aspect of Hurston s
novel.
Passion and control correspond to voice and silence, as expressed by the three relationships in
Janie s life. Hurston brings together the men and women in her novel, comparing Janie s personal
growth to the three significant men in her life ( Logan, Starks, Tea Cake, which all three were her
husband.)

The Ronald Reagan Administration
I will be going over the discrimination of African Americans by the Ronald Reagan administration
during the cold war. The effects his policies had on African Americans, what he gained from it, and
the reasoning for his actions. How he used the C.I.A to target low income African American
communities. Plus, the overall effects this has on the U.S. to this day.
In 1982 the crack epidemic started, which shortly after Ronald Reagan expanded the war on drugs
that Nixon started, one of his top aides admitted that the war on drugs was used to target African
Americans and hippies . The number of incarcerations before the war on drugs was expanded in
1980 was four thousand seven hundred forty nine for drug related crimes, in 1990 that number
increased to twenty four thousand two hundred ninety seven, sixty percent of those incarcerations
were African Americans (sentencingproject.org). If you were caught with one gram of crack you
got the same sentencing as someone found with eighteen grams of cocaine, it was policies like
these that targeted lower income black communities because crack was much cheaper than cocaine
and was more likely for a white person to have cocaine. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Song Analysis Of The 1815 Battle Of New Orleans
The War of 1812 had occured from 1812 to 1815; and at this time tensions between the United
States and Britain were still high. Around fifteen thousand americans died during The War of 1812,
and around eight thousand six hundred British and Canadian troops had died in battle or from
disease. Andrew Jackson was an important general during The War of 1812, and had fought during
the 1815 Battle of New Orleans. In 1815, The War of 1812 had ended and the United Statesand the
British had signed a peace agreement to call the war a tie between the two nations. By examining

people involved were Andrew Jackson, Edward Pakenham, and John Lambert as some generals on
both the British and the United States side. The end of the battle had affected the British the most
as within thirty minutes of battle two thousand british troops were killed and only 13 United

A Modest Proposal, By Aldous Huxley And Jonathan Swift
Aldous Huxley and Jonathan Swift both have a different way of bringing society s attention to
the real problems of the world. Both authors utilize the New Historicism lense as an influence to
each of their pieces of literature. From 1729 to 1932, there were plenty of historical conflicts that
could help each author make society want to change the current problems that they were facing.
Huxley satirizes the sexual freedom and moral decay of the Roaring 20s in Brave New Worldand
Swift satirizes the rising problem of overpopulation in Ireland in his short story, A Modest Proposal

Both pieces of literature use satire to raise awareness of the conflicts and to make society question
or feel the need to change the current problems. Thomas Malthus, a scholar that was born about
thirty years following the great Irish famine discovered a famous population theory. In general, he
stated in his theory that the population of a country will always be greater than the amount of
sources it can produce, like food. It is possible that he came up with his population theory after
studying all of the potential factors in the Irish famine. Overpopulation was one of the main
contributors to the famine. In Brave New World, the characters use Malthusian belts which held
contraceptives like birth control and condoms. These belts that the men and women of this book
wore were used to control overpopulation, which was the exact conflict that Jonathan Swift was
trying to resolve in his short story, A Modest

the lamb is a metaphor for Jesus Christ, also the lambis symbolic of suffering innocence and Jesus

These sonnets both pose a question about the inventor. In the Lamb, the maker inquiry is

Lamb, in lines 17 and 18, Blake keeps in touch with: I a tyke and thou a sheep;/We are called by
his name . The tyke however, does not say God until in lines 19 and 20 when he says: Little

the tyke knows the inventor to be God, while in The Tyger the maker inquiry is not replied; it is
left hanging for the peruse to make sense of it. The writer inquires as to whether the same
compelling hand that made the sweet and pure sheep could be the same hand that made the
frightful and loathsome tiger. This is appeared in the fifth stanza when Blake says, Did he who
made the Lamb make thee? Though these lyrics are comparative in that they ask the inventor
question, they are distinctive in the way that the inquiry is inquired. In The Tyger , Blake
introduces his inquiry in Lines 3 and 4 in a more self important way, What undying hand or eye,
/Could outline thy frightful symmetry? , while in the Lamb, the inquiry is Little Lamb who made

In 2012, the US government introduced a new law, stating that documents containing sensitive

Access to un redacted documents is from now on a strict need to know basis: only by employees
whose work depends on access to the information can access the un redacted provided they have:
passed a 5 year security background check (this process takes 4 weeks once the documents have
been submitted), and completed the online training course (takes 5 6 hours to complete) on how to
protect sensitive information.
The legislation makes possession of un redacted documents by unauthorised persons a criminal
offence, and allows governments to withdraw licences from any company found to allow access to
unauthorised individuals. GS invests in a document management system to hold the un redacted

Out Of This Furnace By Thomas Bell Essay
Out of this Furnace is a fictional novel by Thomas Bell which is based on true events from the
18th century. It is a well written tale of Slovak immigrants who came to the United States in search
of better opportunities than they had in their old country. The story revolves around four main
characters: Djuro Kracha, Kracha s daughter Mary, Mary s husband, Mike Dobrejcak, and, their son
Dobie. As history tells us, many early immigrants who moved to America had either of these
motives: financial prosperity, social status and societal freedom. Similarly, as the story unfolds, we
see that all of these characters became subject to harsh conditions and that each of them went
through their own version of struggle. This novelhas succeeded in enlightening us about the great
effort that these Slovak immigrants made against the issues that encountered them in America.
They faced numerous hardships in the form of underpaid and unsafe jobs, poor residence and
other types of inequalities. Kracha, like most of the immigrants, moved to America by boat in
1881 for financial growth, because of the opportunities in his old country, Hungary, were too
scarce for him to climb the financial ladder. He had a wife back at home, who at the time was
pregnant. During this time, America opened its borders to a wave of immigrants, who were mainly
inexperienced laborers. As America was stepping into the age of industrialization, the demand for
cheaper labor went up and therefore, to meet this

Epic Tips For Getting Government Contracts
EPIC TIPS FOR GETTING GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS FROM A PRO Government
contracting veteran Lisa Martin opens up her playbook The U. S. government spends hundreds of
billions of dollars each year buying everything from roads to commodes. And yes, that includes
professional services. For example, in the government, marketing is called education and outreach.
It includes just about every type of promotional service you can think of including, branding,
website development, focus groups, advertising, marketing collateral, trade show support and more.
Lisa Martin knows because her firm, LeapFrog Solutions, has been winning and fulfilling contracts
with the federal government for 20 years. We ve worked with nine different agencies both as a
prime contractor and subcontractor and have provided the government with a full gamut of
marketing services, said Ms. Martin. Government contracts can be a great source of revenue for
both new and established businesses. But to get those contracts, you have to understand the process
and how to navigate it. With that in mind, Ms. Martin provides these tips for doing business with
the government: 1.Learn the government alphabet soup. There are scores of acronyms that are
commonly used in government business GSA, OSDBU, COTR, SDB, etc. Learning the federal

A management style is an overall method of leadership used by a manager. There are two main
management styles: Autocratic (leader makes all decisions unilaterally) and Permissive (leader
permits subordinates to take part in decision making and also gives them a considerable degree of
autonomy in completing routine work activities). Combining both categories with democratic and
directive styles give four distinct ways to manage:
Directive Democrat: Makes decisions participative; closely supervises subordinates.
Directive Autocrat: Makes decisions unilaterally; closely supervises subordinates.
Permissive Democrat: Makes decisions participative; gives subordinates latitude in carrying out
their work.
Permissive Autocrat: Makes decisions unilaterally; gives subordinates latitude in carrying out their
work. Managers must also adjust their styles according to the situation that they are presented with.
Additionally, there are four quadrants of situational leadership that depend on the amount of
support and guidance needed: telling, delegating, participating and selling. Different styles depend
on the situation and the relationship behaviour and task behaviour. What s more, skills in

We Need an International Ban on Genetically Modified...
It s Time for an International Ban Genetically Modified Humans
If you could ensure that your future children would be healthy, would you? This is a trivial question
because most parents would stop at nothing to ensure that their children are healthy. Human germ
line engineering may soon make it possible to alter the genome of human embryos permanently
changing the genetic blueprint for every cell in an embryo s body. Through human germ line
technology we could eradicate many debilitating genetic diseases (e.g. Tay Sachs disease, cystic

However, researchers generally agree that germ line engineering will be possible within the next
twenty years (Rabino 153). When the technology does develop, the procedure for germ line
engineering will be similar to that of in vitro fertilization. For example, a couple wishes to have
a child, but they have reservations about naturally conceiving because both of their families
have a history of cystic fibrosis. They decide that the use of germ line engineering would be the
best way for them to ensure they produce a healthy child. First, the couple will go to a clinic and
some of the man s sperm and some of the woman s eggs will be harvested. These sex cells will
then be taken to a laboratory and in a Petri dish the man s sperm will be induced to fertilize the
woman s eggs. These fertilized eggs will then be allowed to develop up to the eight cell
embryonic stage. At this point one cell from each eight cell embryo will be removed for genetic
testing (this does not cause significant harm to the embryo s development because the cells are not
yet differentiated into the different types of tissue). If the genetic tests come out positive for the
defective gene that causes cystic fibrosis, the diseased embryos will undergo genetic surgery. In
genetic surgery, through various intricate methods, the defective gene is basically spliced out of the

William Carlos Williams The Use Of Force
The Use of Force Physicians, in their daily practices will tell you, not all patients when being
examined will comply with the doctor s wishes. Likewise, Law Enforcement. Police, can tell you
also not all calls went as smooth as it should most of the times. Nearly all doctors will agree that
children, and the mentally incompetent, are the most difficult patients to deal with. Because of
incompetence, these patients are not able to make decisions for themselves. Doctors are
presumably likeable people, because, when you are sick, they make you healthier, although for
others, doctors can be villains. Patients whose doctors force treatment on them perceive this as a
violation of their rights. The use of force should be mandatory when patient health becomes life
threatening to themselves and the public at large. William Carlos Williamsin his story, The Use of
Force, described the unfolding of a dramatic encounter between a doctor and a little girl named
Matilde, whose parents called the doctor for help because of concern for her health. Matilde was
suspected of having diphtheriaby her parents. The story unfolds like a masterpiece being played
on the stage of a theater as the doctor arrived at the family s home. She s had a fever for three
days, shouted the father and we don t know what it comes from, (20). The doctor asked the parent,
has she had a sore throat? (23), which both parents replied no. To diagnose the ailment, the doctor
must examine Matilda s throat.

Smokie Research Paper
I can t remember what attracted us to the Smokies in the first place. It may have been the
charming quirkiness of the towns of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, combined with the
accessibility and uniqueness of the adjacent national park. On any given day we had a choice of
staying in town playing mini golf, visiting a parrot farm or a world class aquarium, visiting the
Titanic or Guinness World of Record exhibits, or attending the graciously flashy Dixie Stampede
or one of the other umpteen lively shows in the area. We both enjoy the outdoors, and access to
most of the park s most picturesque trails was only a twenty minute drive from Pigeon Forge.
When we had the desire to hike off the beaten path, an hour long drive took us to the remotest

First of all, it would be our first summertime trip to the Smokies. All of our earlier trips coincided
with my daughter s March school breaks, a time when the park s tourist traffic was small and the
weather still quite unpredictable. With the hardwood trees bare of leaves, the views from the upper
elevations remained unobstructed and spectacular. On the other hand, the wildlife sightings were
sparse, particularly in the higher elevations. We rarely ran into any wildlife except on the sheltered
lowland coves. On this mid August trip, there was no chance of encountering snow on the upper
elevations, but a better one of encountering some of the area s infamous black bears, something we

Sociology Lenski Essay
| Kirsten Stone Society Lenski Essay Professor Carver 15 March 2013 Society Lenski Essay How
has human intelligence and curiosity influenced the development of technology throughout history?
From the beginning of time, starting with the hunting and gathering societies, technology always
existed. Granted it was a lot different than the technology created in the industrial time period and
light years away from the technology we have today. It is human nature to seek out ways to do
things better, easier, faster, and that s where curiosity is tied in. According to Gerhard and Jean
Lenski, societies change over time through the process of socio cultural evolution, the effect on
society as that society gains access to new tools and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There is huge jump from these feudal societies to industrial societies. All of a sudden there are
assembly lines, steam engines, cotton gins, textiles, and 100,000 work units compared to 100
work units. There were lots of jobs in factories, where people worked in unsafe conditions for
little pay. Children could work and get paid a lot less than adults. The union was developed to try
get employees the rights they deserved, stop child labor, and gain some security in their jobs.
Working in factories on an assembly line began to make workers de skilled and replaceable.
Productivity flew through the roof though with all the new machines and growing technology. In
industrial societies, the five institutions started to change more drastically than in past societies.
Family life became fragmented because there was less communication. The children went to
school and the parents worked. Another thing that changed in the family was that people lived
with their nuclear, or immediate family instead of being surrounded by family like in past
societies. Education was no longer only for the elite who could afford it. Schools were formed and
there was an organized system with teachers. There was a lot of confusion, or anomie, when it came
to religion, because there was more diversity and arguments. The Catholic religion was being
challenged by science and Protestants as well. The government went through some major changes

Ivy Rowe s Ideas of the Past in Fair and Tender Ladies Essay
Ivy Rowe s Ideas of the Past in Fair and Tender Ladies
In Lee Smith s Fair and Tender Ladies, Ivy Rowe has a constant attachment to her past. This
attachment is one of the main themes in the novel. It is one of her main reasons for letter writing
and why she does some of the things that she does, because she does not want to lose her grip on her
past. Ivy Rowe, in Lee Smith s Fair and Tender
Ladies, uses letter writing to keep a hold of her grip on the past and where she came from.
In Letters from Sugar Fork, Ivy writes for a number of reasons. She wants to see how and what
other people are doing, wanting to improve her writing skills, asking for help from her grandfather
at one point, in addition to just having some way to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The beauty of the mountain stays with her the rest of her life.
In Letters from Majestic, Ivy continues to use letter writing as a means to express emotions and
thoughts that she could not otherwise express. I feel I am bursting with news but I can not tell it
to a sole, I have no one to talk to. (Smith, p. 96) This quote shows just how much Ivy needs to
write. She has no one to talk to and cannot express her feelings to anyone save through writing
these letters. She continues to feel as thought she needs to hold on to the past and continue with
her exploration of herself by looking backwards instead of forwards. That is one of the biggest
themes in this book. Her journey of exploration by looking backwards instead of forwards. It is
rare that in any of her letters she really talks about things to come.
It is always about what has already happened and what is happening, very rarely does she talk
about what is to happen later.
Other reviewers of the novel agree that Ivy s letter writing is helpful for her and the people she
writes to. The adolescent Ivy s letters are often therapeutic. Her mother s plan to move to town
after the family farm fails prompts a letter to her deceased father in which
Ivy not only deals with the impact of change,

Characterism In The Lady Finger
In return for these privileges which the woman has been bestowed in Islam, she has also certain
responsibilities of which the most important is to provide a home for her family and to bring up

Is Prostitution A Victimless Crime
Is prostitution a victimless crime and should this affect its legislation?
As established earlier, a victimless crime is defined as a legal offense in which all parties consent
and no party is injured. I believe that this is a key thought to consider when discussing the
legislation of prostitution, because surely an act should only be illegal if there are directly negative
impacts caused it? If prostitution is in fact a victimless crime , does it even need to be considered a
crime at all? A crime can be defined as an action which constitutes an offence and is punishable by
law, why should prostitution constitute an offence if no one is harmed?
In the 1950s, Sir John Wolfenden led an investigation for the British government, looking into
whether or not prostitution (and homosexual acts) should remain as criminal acts. Wolfenden did
not question the immorality of the acts, but concluded that the law should be reformed because
there must remain a realm of private morality and immorality that is, in brief and crude terms, not
the law s business . Liberal thinkers tend to hold the same view, which was describe in an earlier
publication by John Stuart Mill, ...the only purpose for which power can be rightfully exercised
over any member of a civilised community, against his will, is to prevent harm to others . This
quote is often used to support the repeal of laws which make victimless crimes (e.g. laws against
prostitution/homosexuality). I agree with the view of Wolfenden and

Confirmation of a constitution is a strong move that makes the drafted document the law of the
specified land. It should be supported by majority parties involved. As an editor of the New York
newspaper, I do not support the ratification of the United States Constitution in 1788 because it
tends to conquer and violate some necessary procedures. I believe reasons such as defects in the
post revolution War articles of confederation and lack of central authority over foreign and domestic
commerce that lead to the drafting of the document was not substantial enough initiate the
documentation of the constitution. The material happens to lack fare terms that apply to all the
parties, therefore, could not be signed or ratified into law. The document

Chris Mccandless Persuasive Essay
Put yourself in the middle of the Alaskan wilderness, with only oversized boots, the clothes on

And he would not chest himself. He had one way to do it and one way only. Chris was a very

The Importance Of Fingerprinting And Blood Testing
Fingerprinting and Blood testing are essential methods of identification to prove if a defendant
committed a crime or if there is a relationship between victim and defendant. Information of this
nature is critical to criminal proceedings; however, there is no testimony being taken; therefore,
counseling is not needed because a defendant cannot refuse such testing on the grounds of the Fifth
Amendment. Fingerprint identificationevidence is equated with guilt, while the lack of fingerprint
identification evidence infers a weakness in the prosecution s case (Lawson, 2013). Fingerprint
identification is one of the most important criminal investigation tools due to two features: their
persistence and their uniqueness. A person s... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
DNA analysis permits the identification by reference to the information contained in any human

articulate the procedure for use in a criminal investigation. (Gans Urbas, 2002) Crime
investigators utilize DNA profiles from two sources: human bodies and small samples of
human bodily material (Gans Urbas, 2002). DNA is an effective weapon for both prosecutors
and defendants; therefore, the DNA crime investigators need to compare a profile believed to
be from a crime perpetrator with a known person s profile. (Gans Urbas, 2002) DNA
conclusively establishes identity using such specimens like hair, blood, tissue, and semen from
suspect to determine guilt or innocence. (Hall, 2014) DNA evidence is most commonly used in
sexual assault and murder cases; it s not perfect; nevertheless, it s sufficiently reliable for
admission into evidence. DNA testing is used to compare a profile from an unidentified person
or corpse with a known person s profile. All fifty states are authorized to collect DNA from
individuals convicted of terrorism, violent, sexual, and some property crimes and these samples
are entered in CODIS. (Hall, 2014) Law enforcement agencies use DNA fingerprints to place a

Paradise Lost Allusions
Paradise Lost is an expanded story based on the first page of Genesis in the Bible. Milton
explains how Adam and Eve are created and how they lose their place in the Garden of Eden, also
known as paradise. Milton s version is a narrative poem written in great detail using Biblical
references, mythological references and literary references, often known as allusions.
Milton uses many biblical references throughout the poem because everyone is familiar with the
bible. The narrator states, Of Man s first disobedience, and the fruit Of that forbidden tree, whose
mortal taste Brought death into the world (Milton 1). He is briefly stating how Adam and Eve
disobeys god, and how their fall from grace starts with a fruit. This is a direct reference from the
Bible stating And the LORD god said, The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and
evil. He must not be allowed to reach out and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live

What is the first thing that pops into your head when you think of the story of Jonah? Most

Jonahalong with Jonah s remarkable story.
Jonah, son of Amittai, lived in Israel during the reign of Jeroboam 2, around 793 753 B.C. In the
Bible, Jonah s family is not mentioned much and they are only known as the parents of the
prophet Jonah. Jonah was a strong follower of God and he served the Lord gladly. At the time,
Assyria was a threat to Jonah s city. So, when Jonah s contemporaries, Amos and Hosea, said that
God was going to use Assyria as an instrument of punishment against his people, the Israelites were

However, at the same time I believed that because there was only a little gap in market share, the
reputation of Universal was greater than its competition and the price difference was the reason for
the market share gap. Therefore, I lowered the prices to be comparative to the competitor and my
theory was correct and the market share flipped and Universal gained more as the months
progressed. This process is what I would implement on a larger scale in my second simulation run.
Throughout my second run in the simulation I altered my strategy to have my prices lower then
competition and it backfired greatly on me. My thought process for this was that having lower
prices would definitely raise market share as consumers would chose the cheaper costs. At the
same time I envisioned the drop in prices would result in more consumers switching companies
and renting from Universal, but I was wrong. The results of this simulation ended with a loss of
over $11 million but a market share of over 50%. My error for this simulation was that I relied too
much on lowering prices. In the first simulation the last three months were the competition

as not adjusting the prices and not that my prices were too low. However, after the second simulation

Analysis of Marks Gospel Essay
This research assignment aims to analyse and interpret an influential part of the New Testament
Mark s Gospel. An analysis of Mark and his community will be discussed as well as interpreting
Jesus teachings and his significant theme of Discipleship as it was then and in present society.
A Gospel in general, is a textual document written in narrative form of the good news and teachings
proclaimed by Jesus to announce the power of God. Mark s Gospel is one of four others (Matthew,
Luke and John), where each Gospel has its differences in structure, language and theological slants.
Mark s Gospel is divided into three main sections: The Ministry of Jesus, Jesus prologue of
foretelling his Passion, and his Passion and Death. Mark set out ... Show more content on

Although the Roman society questioned Monotheism, the strength of Mark s community to Jesus
had overthrown their past beliefs, whereby their loyalties had met with the many hardships and
dangers of Roman hierarchy just as Jesus followers did.
The concept of seeing the ways of Jesus and that He is the Messiah, is to truly understand the
message being portrayed throughout the Gospel, and not the surface meaning that is being
represented literally. This concept was very significant to Jesus and his followers as to interpret
the meaning without being said, most parables being related to the Kingdom of God and Jesus
miracle stories. Times were harsh and difficult to spread and teach the words of Jesus, as Mark s
community would face persecution. The disciples of Jesus could see more than other believers
could perceive, from being apart of Jesus life with close relationships, as they were taught the
fundamentals from Jesus himself to understand his teachings in much more depth and fluency
than others. There were many similarities among Jesus twelve disciples and Mark s community,
as both groups share the strong faith in Jesus and God s power by spreading the good news to
others as well as experiencing hardships caused by arrogant hierarchy and society. According to
Mark, Jesus was known for his parables and

Domestic Financial Stability And The Sovereign Bank Nexus
What about domestic financial stability and the sovereign bank nexus?
Furthermore, the pickup in sovereign bonds demand by domestic banks when foreign investor
demand decreases does act as a stabilizing pillar for sovereigns. Overall reliance on domestic banks
for funding might be characterized as a low run risk, however, it could turn into a high one if there
is an accompanying increase in bank sovereign nexus that could transfer into higher funding costs
for sovereigns and larger refinancing risk. This is exactly what was observed in the GIIPS
countries of Europe during the sovereign debt crisis. Sovereigns should therefore assess the
motivations of such domestic banks for increasing their holdings of their own sovereign bonds in
order to assess the risk of those banks as an investor base.
For instance, the share of sovereign debt held by banks in the Eurozone, in particular, has been more
than twice in 2013 compared to that of 2007. (Becker and Ivashina (2014a)) Such an observation
is evident despite the fact that European banks incurred substantial mark to market losses in 2009
on their peripheral sovereign holdings (Greece, Italy, Ireland, Portugal, Spain, or so called GIIPS
) and that in 2011 alone, banks on average lost 40 percent of their market value in an effort to
increase regulatory capital ratios. (Acharya and Steffen (2014)) At the same time, banks sovereign
debt portfolios have exhibited increased home bias. (Battistini et al. (2014); Acharya and Steffen

1990 s. The National Marine Manufacturer s Association had reported that the actual number of
recreational boaters had steadily declined at a rate of one to two percent per year through the late
1990 s up into 2000. A fear that slumping economic conditions would further impact the market
was a big problem facing the industry. This is why many 2001 models of recreational boats were
housed in inventory warehouses until the 2002 season. In a positive light, water skiing almost was

li value= 3 Driving forces are always going to change the market no matter what industry you are
in. The driving forces saw big changes as the market began to grow. The first driving force that I
noticed was the sports potential that the industry had. With the acceptance of waterskiing into the
Gravity Games and World Games, the industry only became more attractive for more companies to
pop up and compete. Also, boat shows and both the national and regional level have helped to drive
competition to all time highs. These shows allow the main consumers to get different options from
different companies and help to drive competition to all time highs. The more bargaining power, the
more competition will be evident. Also, products and technological innovations are helping to drive
competition. Companies within the boating industry are always coming out with new, fresh ideas
that help to make their products more attractive compared to other companies. So the other
companies have to in turn do the same thus driving competition. Finally, the spare parts market is
helping to drive competition. New entrants into the boating industry can use the spare parts market
to help build their business into the industry and eventually become a major contributor to the
overall market. All of these forces pushing the market to change are in a way good for the

Explain Why Barbie Is A Bad Role Model
Barbie is a bad role model for young girls. Research has shown that Barbie would have been
measured at 5 9 and according to one of her stages she would weigh only 110 lbs. Based on these
measurements Barbie,if a real woman, would have a B.M.I of 16.24 and would fit in the criteria
for being anorexic(Rampages Barbie). Who would want an anorexic doll as a role model for their
child? In 1959 the Barbie doll was first introduced by the company Mattel. Barbie was originally
meant to be the perfect woman. Standing at what would be 5 9 and weighing in at 110 pounds. As
stated before these types of measurements would have made barbie anorexic. As well as that, a
book was given out in the Slumber Party Barbie set that gave a very vague tip on how to stay
skinny. Don t eat . Any young woman that followed Barbie s tip were sure to result to anorexia.
In fact, 8 million people in the United States have this eating disorder, and only 10 15% of them
are male. Which leaves the 85 90% of them to be female. 80% of the female s are under 20 years
old. Many of the women admitted to worrying about their weight around four to six years old Said

Using Titanium Dioxide as Photocatalyst to Reduce Pollution
Recent research shows that titanium dioxide can be used as a photocatalystic property to reduce
pollutants. This was first discovered by Fujishima and Honda in 1972, where the photocatalystic
properties of titanium dioxide were found to be applicable. It was shown that by converting
ultraviolet light energy, this compound acts as a catalyst to produce hydroxyl in the presence of
moisture in the air. Hydroxl then can oxidize and convert these harmful pollutants to HNO3. The
reason that this is useful is because nitrogenoxideis a common pollutant which has many adverse
effects to society. Nitrogen oxides may form into nitric acid which contributes to acid rain, and it
also chemically reacts to sunlight and changes into ozone which additionally has many adverse
health effects for living organisms and non living things alike. The health related issues are a major
reason to reduce emissions of NOxbecause although health is important, money is an issue as well.
In California an independent study conducted from 2005 to 2007 found that nearly 30,000 visits in
the state were due to California failing to meet both federal and state standards for PM and ozone.
This data comes from statistics of hospital reports for respiratory, cardiovascular, and asthma
attacks. Even though the study estimates were on the conservative side, it was estimated that the
cost of un attainment to the state between that 3 year periods was 193 million dollars. And because

Analysis Of The Sundry Documents
Depending on the article read the viewpoint of the Kingston Penitentiary for those living in Upper
Canada varies. I would argue that the majority of the opinions about the Kingston Penitentiary were
about reformation of the convicts within. In the Sundry Documents the author explains that the
penitentiary is place for a convict to repent on his sins and deter him from future crime. The
document explains that a penitentiary is place for punishmentand not the source of revenue or
manufactory. Although this document does add the idea that a penitentiary is meant to deter, not
necessarily reform, one can assume that a convict would receive both benefits once being placed in
a penitentiary.

Analysis Of Language Of Dreams By Belle Yang
Thesis: The article Language of Dreams written by Belle Yang shed light on the different aspects
of culture Belle was missing. Although she was born a Chinese she never liked it until later she
discovered the folk art and culture of her ethnicity. Whereas the article Prologue from the Death of
Josseline written by Margaret Regan showed us the agony that an illegal immigrant has to go
through. Like Josseline, there are many others who lost her life as an illegal traveler.
Thesis example: In the article Language of Dreams, Belle Yang recalls the role of memory,
language and story telling in human lives, especially those displayed and complicated by
movement and the blending of culture. However, in the article Prologue from the Death of
Josseline, Margaret Reagan encourages a reconsideration of how the immigration issue is discussed
in the media.
Topic 1: Cost of immigration
Article 1: Belle Yang had to discover about her own culture at the age of twenty six. Being born a
Chinese, she was unknown of her own culture or let s say ignorant of her culture. They say Chinese
is the language of memories but she clearly stated that she has no idea what she will do of that
memory. She was always inclined to the American culture that she never knew the mysteries about
the ethnicity she was born with.
Article 2: Josseline, a fourteen year old girl, had to lose her life while trying to illegally get to her
mother who was as illegal immigrant of The United States. During her travel, she

[*]Why do you wish to join the Metropolitan Division?: I would like to join the division as
it would fit my personality. Metropolitan division is action packed, teamwork requiering, strict
and really organized division where I would fit right in. When I transfered from Chicago to Los
Santos Police Department, I noticed that Metropolitan Division is one of the most elite group to
get in and I would like to take this challange and do my best to get in the department.
Metropolitan Division is something that I would like to involve myself in as it lets me fight
crime even more then I already am as a regulat patrol officer. Metropolitan division members are
someone who always run towards the fight to make sure everyone in Los Santos is safe and
provide more assitance to basic patrol officers.

The Controversy Of Dog Parks
I am a proponent of dog parks. It is my belief that these parks are a wonderful addition to any
community. There are many benefits to having such parks, not just for the animals, but for us as
well. Dogs are social creatures. They need interaction with other dogs. If they do not get the
neccessary socialization, they can become hostile toward other animals, as well as unruly around
people. As we humans need to interact with other humans, these parks are a great place for us
bipeds to socialize and make friends as well. It doesnt take a lot of space to have a dogpark. Most
cities already have some peice of ground that is not being used. The dogs just need a little bit of
room to run around without the restraint of a leash.

Controversy Surrounding the Use of Contraception
Introduction
From the time when it became available the near the beginning of the 1960s, oral contraceptives,
commonly called the pill, have opened possibilities that had were shut to females for all of times
gone by. Possibly more than any other sole factor, the pill has made it likely for women to be in
charge of of their own lives and to attain their prospects. Nowadays, 100 million women all over the
world use the pill. Nonetheless, there are emergencies ensuing from rape or failure to use
contraceptive plans. There are in addition emergencies ensuing from accidental consensual sex. In
spite of everything, the human sexual desire was fashioned by evolution to guarantee procreation,
and it works extremely fine. Given the correct psychological stimulants, pretty much everyone,
counting presidents of the United States and well known religious leaders, will jeopardize it all for
an illicit sexual rendezvous (Drazen, et al. 2004). To be adamant that society rely exclusively on
self restraint more willingly than contraception is to refute a nature beside which the gods
themselves are unable to compete. The whole history of humanity can be interpreted as evidence to
the influence of that nature.
Plan B was produced to cover emergencies, no matter what their reason. It turned out to be
obtainable by prescription in 1999. Millions of women have ever since found Plan B to be harmless
and efficient if ingested after intercourse but sooner than a spermatozoon enters the membrane

Mambo Girl Comparative Essay
Films such as Shall We Dansu? and Mambo Girl both display East Asian performance of Latin
American dance forms ballroom and a culmination of Latin American dance styles such as mambo
and cha cha respectively. However, according to dance scholar Juliet McMains, in this process of
transculturation, ballroom dancers are dancing Latin as a means of affirming their distance from
Latin ethnic identity through consciously donning a mask of Latin ness an exotic otherness (304
305). I impose and further McMains ideas on the films Shall We Dansu? and Mambo Girl. Through
comparative analysis of the movement profile of their two main characters Sugiyama and Kailing,
both vital to the plot and enhance the films characters and character development, I compare the
characters first dancescene, then moments where they retreat from dancing altogether and lastly,
dance as celebration. The comparison reveals that while dancing is a form of nonverbal
communication, communicating the exoticization of Latin American dance forms in East Asia, it
engages audience s imagination and positions them as co writers of that story; Dance forces the
audience to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Fight For African American Independence
In this episode we learned about the struggle for Africa s independence. The fight for colonial
independence was much more complex than appeared on the surface. The Africans wanted their
land back and the colonists wanted to keep their newly acquired land, but it was not that simple or
easy. Once the Africans got their independence they could not be separated from their home
countries. Intricate ties between the colonies and home countries they could not be so easily
broken. This element in my opinion is one of the reasons the fight for freedom in Africalasted so
long.
I never realized just how many hundreds of thousands of Africans were drafted during WWII. In
addition, I never realized how much hope they were filled with when the Atlantic Charter was
passed. Hope that came when hearing that within it, it said that each person has a right and the
everyone should be respected. However, when peace came, nothing seemed to be different ... Show

Portugal hung on to their rule even after other colonies began to be liberated. The liberation wars
were long and painful for both sides. Some Africans thought they would never be independent
and always be bound by the colonies. When they finally stood up and formed an army to fight
back, they insisted that they were not a political army ; instead that they were instruments for
independence, armed militants and how after they achieved their goal they would go back to
cultivating the soil. Portugal did multiple horrible acts including assassinating their leader at the
time. However, their worse act was when they wiped out an entire village during the war, and
even today only grim remains remain where the village once stood. Then after all of that they
stayed behind to help. I feel like its crazy that after such a long struggle either one of the sides
would want anything to do with each

 • 2. Key Themes In Macbeth In the story of Macbeth there are a myriad of themes that can be explored and analyzed within the text, which become distinct and unique in their own way. As the main character, Macbeth, goes through continuous conflict and self doubt based on the morality of his choices; other characters slowly get assorted within the chaos that ultimately changes and influences the scenes and murders that play out throughout the book. Lady Macbeth(Macbeth s wife) can be attributed to most of her husband s actions as she calls his manhood and pride into question over and over again. Lady Macbeth manipulates her husband into murdering King Duncanand anyone else that threatens their power, which steadily begins to address her own morality as a human being. As the book continues, further on, a sense of guilt can be discovered as part of the aftermath of murdering Duncan. Near the end Lady Macbeth begins to feel a burden of guilt. This burden towards the innocent and brutal murders committed drives her into madness, which ultimately leads to her own death. In essence, Shakespeare s Macbeth suggests a vision of the world in which Macbeth s vaulting ambition and lust for power is... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Back when he murdered Duncan, Macbeth and his wife planted the evidence in the throne room by putting bloody daggers on all the royal individuals within the room. In this sequence of events and the way it took place Banquo had become suspicious, because the whole thing looked too good to be true and he also heard from the witches that Macbeth would be the King of Scotland. Lady Macbeth catches on and repeats the whole scenario into manipulating her husband (now the king) into killing anyone, even his own best friend, that threatens his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... CCPM methodology tackles resource contention before the project begins, aggregate the safety in specified locations (buffers) rather then leaving it. The critical chain path typically is not the same as the traditional critical path. CCPM is not merely a scheduling technique. The CCPM methodology explicitly states that without the necessary changes in the scheduling rules will not only fail to achieve improvement but may actually degrade performance. Event chain methodology, a new way of scheduling is an uncertainty modeling and schedule network analysis technique that is focused on identifying and managing events and event chains that affect project schedules. Event chain methodology helps to mitigate the negative impact of psychological heuristics and biases, as well as to allow for easy modeling of uncertainties in the project schedules. Event Chain Methodology Objectives: 1. Mitigate effect motivational and cognitive biases in estimating and scheduling. In many cases, project managers intentionally or unintentionally create project schedules that are impossible to implement. 2. Simplify the process of defining risks and uncertainties in project schedules, particularly improve the ability to provide reality checks and visualize multiple events. 3. Click-Bait Definition Although all the writers have their own thoughts, reasoning and definition of click bait, they still share the common ground of click bait being a thing of negativity amongst people. All four articles really come together on one thing, being that click bait exists but really break apart when it comes to the little details and opinions regarding the debate. Hughes article reports that like most people her age, she is getting her news media from mobile devices that come from Twitter or Facebook. She takes several things into account when picking a relevant article, like: if the source is liable, if the conversation seems legit and most importantly the headlines. Hughes claims that clickbait creators don t trust us readers and what they are doing... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He emphasizes that as the amount of views started becoming more respected, people started trying to cheat the system. But views don t track if someone watched or read a whole story, they only track how many people clicked into the link. So of course the creators took advantage of that and started creating juicy headlines that would just result in a click, or view also known as click bait . He argues that even though the website has all the extra views, it still isn t going to be trusted by viewers, resulting in them not returning back to that website. Mark s suggested that with our attention constantly shifting every three minutes because of smart phones and the internet we are drawn to click bait. As Mark reports, click bait has been around in newspaper articles from the 19th century and with click bait combined with hypermedia it leads us down cognitive paths, resulting in us not being able to find our way back to the main article. On the census of quality, Berger and Mark s seem to come to an agreement. Berger states that click bait is bad because it over promises and under delivers. It leads us to believe that we are clicking into something that is going to be worth it, but then we end up disappointed, losing trust and not returning back. Mark states that click bait is an attention distraction that can lead to higher stress, a bad mood and lower ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
 • 5. Who Was The Nationalist Movement Of Zionism The nationalist movement of Zionism emerged out of the Jewish people s need for a national state of their own. This idea harkens back to the establishment of the Kingdom of Israel after the Exodus. The Holy Land and all of its historic prestige persisted in Jewish culture as they spread throughout the Diaspora for 2000 years. Restrictions and persecution followed the Jewish people as they were met with prejudice throughout Eastern and Western Europe. Organized political Zionismgrew from tsarist Russia, where pogroms carried out against the Russian and Polish Jews in the 1880 s killed thousands. Originating in Russia in 1884, an agency named the Lovers of Zion assisted the emigration of Jews to Palestine, where they organized small farms. During this time Leon Pinsker wrote Auto Emancipation , a Zionist pamphlet in which he posits an answer to the Jewish Question . He argues that Jews are despised all over the world, and are viewed as aliens that cannot be assimilated. He also states, Since it is not to be our mission to reform mankind, we must see what we have to do for ourselves under the circumstances. Another prominent Zionist activist was Theodor Herzel who wrote the Jewish State in 1896, where he asserts that the Jews comprised a nation without a political state. It is important to note that both Pinsker and Herzel did not directly name Palestine as the location for a Jewish state. The following year, Herzel organized the first Zionist Congress in Basel in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
 • 6. Theme of Voice in Their Eyes Were Watching God Essay Breaking Through In the novel Their Eyes Were Watching God written by Zora Neale Hurston, Janie the protagonist is seen by critics as having no voice. For all women silence knows no boundaries of race or culture, and Janie is no exception. Hurston characterizes Janie with the same silence that women at that time period were forced into, (complete submission.) Women were to be seen and not heard. Janie spends forty years of her life, learning to achieve/find, her voice against the over ruling and dominate men in her life. But in the end Janie comes out the victor, breaking the silence. Janie s actions are stronger than words, Janie s trial at the end of the novel, proves, Janie s silence to be more powerful than articulation. Hurston uses the narrative consciousness in Their Eyes, to characterize those who are silent and lack their own voice, by doing this Hurston gives depth, to those whose voices, are heard. Throughout the entire novel, the development of the male voice seems to parallel the development of Janie s. The men in Janie s life have voices, and it is by her relationships with these men, that Janie s voice gets stronger. Janie becomes more self confident with each relationship she endures. Hurston, by using the consciousness narrative, is actually speaking for Janie; the narrator and Janie are like one. This might be the reason that Hurston gives little voice to Janie s character. Janie is not silenced in the novel, she is expressed through the narrative. Which if the reader does not close read, the reader will not comprehend this aspect of Hurston s novel. Passion and control correspond to voice and silence, as expressed by the three relationships in Janie s life. Hurston brings together the men and women in her novel, comparing Janie s personal growth to the three significant men in her life ( Logan, Starks, Tea Cake, which all three were her husband.) ... The effects his policies had on African Americans, what he gained from it, and the reasoning for his actions. How he used the C.I.A to target low income African American communities. Plus, the overall effects this has on the U.S. to this day. In 1982 the crack epidemic started, which shortly after Ronald Reagan expanded the war on drugs that Nixon started, one of his top aides admitted that the war on drugs was used to target African Americans and hippies . The number of incarcerations before the war on drugs was expanded in 1980 was four thousand seven hundred forty nine for drug related crimes, in 1990 that number increased to twenty four thousand two hundred ninety seven, sixty percent of those incarcerations were African Americans (sentencingproject.org). Both authors utilize the New Historicism lense as an influence to each of their pieces of literature. From 1729 to 1932, there were plenty of historical conflicts that could help each author make society want to change the current problems that they were facing. Huxley satirizes the sexual freedom and moral decay of the Roaring 20s in Brave New Worldand Swift satirizes the rising problem of overpopulation in Ireland in his short story, A Modest Proposal . It is possible that he came up with his population theory after studying all of the potential factors in the Irish famine. Overpopulation was one of the main contributors to the famine. It started buying local electricity suppliers in the US in the late 2000s, and built up a substantial group of companies on the West Coast. GS went through a process of consolidating its acquisitions into a single company, and in a now de regulated market, it had to cut costs to keep its prices competitive. • 12. Out Of This Furnace By Thomas Bell Essay Out of this Furnace is a fictional novel by Thomas Bell which is based on true events from the 18th century. It is a well written tale of Slovak immigrants who came to the United States in search of better opportunities than they had in their old country. The story revolves around four main characters: Djuro Kracha, Kracha s daughter Mary, Mary s husband, Mike Dobrejcak, and, their son Dobie. As history tells us, many early immigrants who moved to America had either of these motives: financial prosperity, social status and societal freedom. Similarly, as the story unfolds, we see that all of these characters became subject to harsh conditions and that each of them went through their own version of struggle. This novelhas succeeded in enlightening us about the great effort that these Slovak immigrants made against the issues that encountered them in America. They faced numerous hardships in the form of underpaid and unsafe jobs, poor residence and other types of inequalities. Kracha, like most of the immigrants, moved to America by boat in 1881 for financial growth, because of the opportunities in his old country, Hungary, were too scarce for him to climb the financial ladder. He had a wife back at home, who at the time was pregnant. During this time, America opened its borders to a wave of immigrants, who were mainly inexperienced laborers. They decide that the use of germ line engineering would be the best way for them to ensure they produce a healthy child. First, the couple will go to a clinic and some of the man s sperm and some of the woman s eggs will be harvested. These sex cells will then be taken to a laboratory and in a Petri dish the man s sperm will be induced to fertilize the woman s eggs. These fertilized eggs will then be allowed to develop up to the eight cell embryonic stage. At this point one cell from each eight cell embryo will be removed for genetic testing (this does not cause significant harm to the embryo s development because the cells are not yet differentiated into the different types of tissue). When we had the desire to hike off the beaten path, an hour long drive took us to the remotest park areas where, even in the busiest seasons, we could do a ten or fifteen mile day hike without meeting a soul. There are about nine hundred miles of trails in the Smokies. As established earlier, a victimless crime is defined as a legal offense in which all parties consent and no party is injured. I believe that this is a key thought to consider when discussing the legislation of prostitution, because surely an act should only be illegal if there are directly negative impacts caused it? If prostitution is in fact a victimless crime , does it even need to be considered a crime at all? A crime can be defined as an action which constitutes an offence and is punishable by law, why should prostitution constitute an offence if no one is harmed? In the 1950s, Sir John Wolfenden led an investigation for the British government, looking into whether or not prostitution (and homosexual acts) should remain as criminal acts. Wolfenden did not question the immorality of the acts, but concluded that the law should be reformed because there must remain a realm of private morality and immorality that is, in brief and crude terms, not the law s business . Liberal thinkers tend to hold the same view, which was describe in an earlier publication by John Stuart Mill, ...the only purpose for which power can be rightfully exercised over any member of a civilised community, against his will, is to prevent harm to others . Richard was a man that did not show many emotions and keep them under control even when time were difficult. I think the sorcerer saw the same potential in Allan at first, but could also see Allan s eagerness to please. That is why the Sorcerer would only assign Allan normal daily chores at first. The Sorcerer wanted Allan to remain humble and believed making Allan perform normal day to day chores were a perfect lesson. However, Allan did not interpret the lesson as such and believed he had either done something wrong or was not the apprentice the Sorcerer had hoped for. First, when he stated you are the best of students, he wished to acknowledge Allans potential as a person not only as a sorcerer. The Sorcerer understood the fine line between good and bad (a.k.a evil) when working the craft and how crossing the line was easy especially if the person had good intentions. For example, at the end of the story, Allan wish to call the demon to destroy himself because he felt unworthy. Compared to this simulation they were based in the financial realm focused on stocks and bonds. However, they all share a similar aspect in regards that their ultimate goal to maximize profit. Ultimately I ended up doing three different runs through the simulation that each had unique results. My best results showed a profit of $37.5 million and a market share of just under 50% for the state of Florida. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, at the same time I believed that because there was only a little gap in market share, the reputation of Universal was greater than its competition and the price difference was the reason for the market share gap. Therefore, I lowered the prices to be comparative to the competitor and my theory was correct and the market share flipped and Universal gained more as the months progressed. This process is what I would implement on a larger scale in my second simulation run. Throughout my second run in the simulation I altered my strategy to have my prices lower then competition and it backfired greatly on me. My thought process for this was that having lower prices would definitely raise market share as consumers would chose the cheaper costs. At the same time I envisioned the drop in prices would result in more consumers switching companies and renting from Universal, but I was wrong. The results of this simulation ended with a loss of over $11 million but a market share of over 50%. My error for this simulation was that I relied too much on lowering prices. In the first simulation the last three months were the competition increased their prices and there were no change to universal resulted in losses of profits. I took that as not adjusting the prices and not that my prices were too low. However, after the second simulation ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Although the Roman society questioned Monotheism, the strength of Mark s community to Jesus had overthrown their past beliefs, whereby their loyalties had met with the many hardships and dangers of Roman hierarchy just as Jesus followers did. The concept of seeing the ways of Jesus and that He is the Messiah, is to truly understand the message being portrayed throughout the Gospel, and not the surface meaning that is being represented literally. This concept was very significant to Jesus and his followers as to interpret the meaning without being said, most parables being related to the Kingdom of God and Jesus miracle stories. Times were harsh and difficult to spread and teach the words of Jesus, as Mark s community would face persecution. The disciples of Jesus could see more than other believers could perceive, from being apart of Jesus life with close relationships, as they were taught the fundamentals from Jesus himself to understand his teachings in much more depth and fluency than others. There were many similarities among Jesus twelve disciples and Mark s community, as both groups share the strong faith in Jesus and God s power by spreading the good news to others as well as experiencing hardships caused by arrogant hierarchy and society. • 41. Domestic Financial Stability And The Sovereign Bank Nexus What about domestic financial stability and the sovereign bank nexus? Furthermore, the pickup in sovereign bonds demand by domestic banks when foreign investor demand decreases does act as a stabilizing pillar for sovereigns. Overall reliance on domestic banks for funding might be characterized as a low run risk, however, it could turn into a high one if there is an accompanying increase in bank sovereign nexus that could transfer into higher funding costs for sovereigns and larger refinancing risk. This is exactly what was observed in the GIIPS countries of Europe during the sovereign debt crisis. Sovereigns should therefore assess the motivations of such domestic banks for increasing their holdings of their own sovereign bonds in order to assess the risk of those banks as an investor base. For instance, the share of sovereign debt held by banks in the Eurozone, in particular, has been more than twice in 2013 compared to that of 2007. (Becker and Ivashina (2014a)) Such an observation is evident despite the fact that European banks incurred substantial mark to market losses in 2009 on their peripheral sovereign holdings (Greece, Italy, Ireland, Portugal, Spain, or so called GIIPS ) and that in 2011 alone, banks on average lost 40 percent of their market value in an effort to increase regulatory capital ratios. (Acharya and Steffen (2014)) At the same time, banks sovereign debt portfolios have exhibited increased home bias. (Battistini et al. (2014); Acharya and Steffen ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

With the acceptance of waterskiing into the Gravity Games and World Games, the industry only became more attractive for more companies to pop up and compete. Also, boat shows and both the national and regional level have helped to drive competition to all time highs. • 44. Using Titanium Dioxide as Photocatalyst to Reduce Pollution Recent research shows that titanium dioxide can be used as a photocatalystic property to reduce pollutants. This was first discovered by Fujishima and Honda in 1972, where the photocatalystic properties of titanium dioxide were found to be applicable. It was shown that by converting ultraviolet light energy, this compound acts as a catalyst to produce hydroxyl in the presence of moisture in the air. Hydroxl then can oxidize and convert these harmful pollutants to HNO3. The reason that this is useful is because nitrogenoxideis a common pollutant which has many adverse effects to society. Nitrogen oxides may form into nitric acid which contributes to acid rain, and it also chemically reacts to sunlight and changes into ozone which additionally has many adverse health effects for living organisms and non living things alike. The health related issues are a major reason to reduce emissions of NOxbecause although health is important, money is an issue as well. In California an independent study conducted from 2005 to 2007 found that nearly 30,000 visits in the state were due to California failing to meet both federal and state standards for PM and ozone. This data comes from statistics of hospital reports for respiratory, cardiovascular, and asthma attacks. Controversy Surrounding the Use of Contraception Introduction From the time when it became available the near the beginning of the 1960s, oral contraceptives, commonly called the pill, have opened possibilities that had were shut to females for all of times gone by. Possibly more than any other sole factor, the pill has made it likely for women to be in charge of of their own lives and to attain their prospects. Nowadays, 100 million women all over the world use the pill. Nonetheless, there are emergencies ensuing from rape or failure to use contraceptive plans. There are in addition emergencies ensuing from accidental consensual sex. In spite of everything, the human sexual desire was fashioned by evolution to guarantee procreation, and it works extremely fine. Given the correct psychological stimulants, pretty much everyone, counting presidents of the United States and well known religious leaders, will jeopardize it all for an illicit sexual rendezvous (Drazen, et al. 2004). To be adamant that society rely exclusively on self restraint more willingly than contraception is to refute a nature beside which the gods themselves are unable to compete. The whole history of humanity can be interpreted as evidence to the influence of that nature. Plan B was produced to cover emergencies, no matter what their reason. Mambo Girl Comparative Essay Films such as Shall We Dansu? and Mambo Girl both display East Asian performance of Latin American dance forms ballroom and a culmination of Latin American dance styles such as mambo and cha cha respectively. Through comparative analysis of the movement profile of their two main characters Sugiyama and Kailing, both vital to the plot and enhance the films characters and character development, I compare the characters first dancescene, then moments where they retreat from dancing altogether and lastly, dance as celebration. Once the Africans got their independence they could not be separated from their home countries. Intricate ties between the colonies and home countries they could not be so easily broken.
