Insect
Power point Presentation

Insects belong to the class of invertebrates that have a
chitinous exoskeleton.
They have three-part body namely head, thorax and abdomen,
along with three pairs of jointed legs, compound eyes and one
Housefly
They are one of the most widely distributed insects that are
found all over the world

In human habitations they account for about 91% of all
flies and carry serious diseases like parasitic diseases,
bacterial diseases and Viruses.
Grub and Butterfly

A Grub is a thick wormlike
larva that can be of certain
beetles and other insects.
They live in the soil,
feeding on plant roots.

Butterflies are mainly dayflying insect that have
large, often brightly coloured
wings.
They show conspicuous and
Scorpion

Scorpions are a widely distributed insects that are found in
a variety of  terrestrial habitats.
They have a characteristic forward curve over the back and
their body end with a venomous stinger.
About 25 out of 1500 species are known to be venomous and
capable of killing a human being
Green Cricket

Having flattened body and long antennae, these insects are
somewhat related to grasshoppers.
You can also find a more close relation of these insects to
katydids or bush crickets and Weta.
Honeybee

Originated
from
the
South and South East
Asia, they are the most
recognized species that
are distinguished for the
production and storage
of honey.
They
construct
perennial, colonial nests
out of wax and use their
 antenna
asymmetrically
for
social interactions .
Lady bug and Dragonfly

Lady Bug are small wing covered insects with black legs,
heads and antennae. They are commonly yellow, orange, or
scarlet in color and have black spots covering their body.
Dragonflies are important predators that are characterized
by large multifaceted eyes and two pairs of strong
transparent wings. They eat mosquitoes, flies, bees, ants,
wasps and other small insects.
Caterpillar and Mosquito

Caterpillar are the larval
form of insects like
butterflies and moths.

Mosquitoes belong to a
family of small, midge-like
flies.

They are varacious feeders
and are considered as pest in

A few of its species are
harmless while most are
Butterfly

They are holometabolous insects that have large and
bright coloured wings.
They comprise true butterflies, the skippers and the mothbutterflies.
Fly and Wheel Bug

Flies, the name
generally is adapted for
aerial movement.

Wheel Bug are one of the
largest terrestrial true bugs in
North America.

The insects belonging to
this group have
typically short and

They have characteristic wheelshaped and prey soft-bodied
insects.
