In the US we don’t “chase after it” we definitely stay as far away as possible from death. We
have different wings of the hospitals for those who are dying and when we hear of someone dying we
are sad and stay away from everyone else..

A picture of the person the altar is dedicated to; a feast; a bar of soap, a towel, and other
grooming items, because the spirit of the person has been on a long journey and needs to refresh
themselves; things that represent the person, hobbies they had when they were here on earth; if
they were married their wife or husband would put a romantic meal to the side to show their love;
incense and spices, to guide the spirit to their altar and the spices so that they can add flavor to foods
that have lost their taste to them.

I think they are very intricately decorated. I love the fact that the Mexican people take so much time
to decorate something so much for one night.
