Lalique s-a lansat în prelucrarea sistematică a sticlei cu flacoanele de parfum pe care le-a creat pentru casa Coty în 1910 şi care au devenit celebre. Prima sa fabrică, unde producea vaze, lămpi, cupe, accesorii de birou sau fântâni, a fost la Paris. După război şi-a deschis o fabrică mult mai mare în Alsacia, care a intrat în activitate în 1921. Consacrarea a venit după Expoziţia de Arte Decorative din 1925 unde pavilionul său precum şi celebrele sale fântâni au avut un enorm succes şi unde creaţiile sale au început să fie desemnate cu numele de Art Deco.

La farfalletta, song for voice & piano This song was supposedly composed when Bellini was all of twelve years old. He wrote it for a girl friend, to be performed as a part of a puppet show, and the girl friend's brother wrote the words. She sang the song, which is about the catching of a butterfly, and had her puppet act the part. The melody is memorable, happy, and light, and the accompaniment delicate and appropriate to the image of a flitting butterfly, trying to get away from its pursuer. The singer of the song is slightly evil, as she sings of catching the butterfly and giving it to her boyfriend. She tells the little butterfly not to worry, that her boyfriend will take good care of it.
