Murrindindi gave a presentation to students about his Aboriginal family's history and culture in Victoria. He showed how Aboriginal people carved canoes from tree bark and trunks. Murrindindi also displayed traditional clothing items like a kangaroo coat and possum fur coats worn by elders, as well as cultural tools like boomerangs, stone axes, and didgeridoos made from hollowed tree trunks. The students learned about various aspects of Aboriginal culture from fishing to body painting to musical instruments.

2. Family Murrindindi showed us a presentation about the history of his family in Victoria.

3. Murrindindi told us how the Aboriginal people carefully carved the bark out of trees to make canoes. You can still see some of these trees in our local area. They used saplings to help carve the canoes from the tree trunks.

4. The didgeridoo was made from a dead tree trunk. Murrindindi showed us how the termites had hollowed out the trunk.

5. Murrindindi showed us his kangaroo coat. The fur kept the Aboriginal people warm and in wet weather the skin was waterproof.

6. Murrindindi showed us the possum fur his uncle had given him. Only the leaders or elders were allowed to wear the possum coats.

7. The Aboriginal children had possum balls which they kicked through the trees. The balls were filled with grass.
