3. Introduction
In this presentation we want to inform everything related
with the data transfer and data security.
It is important for us that our classmates get to understand
how these theme is crucial important. When it begins to be
understanded , people make a use of computers and files
really well. Making easier the way they share, download or
transfer file types.
Thank You.
4. The main objective of this presentation is to
help our classmates understand a topic
involves us in our daily lifes.
Objectives
It is extremely important that we get to know
with details he different types of file formats,
data files types and the translation of these.
5. Data file types
The need to import and export data files has led
to the development of several standard file
types.
• Standard File types
Jpg, gif, mp3
• Other examples
doc, .psd, .ipg, .png, zip, pdf
6. Translating between
file types
• When you trasport one file to another
computer, it may be impossible that the
computer reads it, because it doesnt have the
same file type.
• For example:
An image created in Adobe Photoshop and
saved as a .psd file (Photoshop's format) would
not be readable by Microsoft Paint.
7. - The possible solutions is that you may
download a program which translate it or when
you are saving your document you save as.. And
choose the type of file.
8. Standard File Types
Examples are jpg and gif files for images, and mp3 files for sound; but
there are also standard file types for text, movies.
• Really Simple Syndication (RSS): a method for delivering website
updates to a user without the user having to visit the website
• Zip: a file format that takes an existing file or files and compresses
them into a single file that's a smaller size
• Portable Document Format (PDF): a file format developed by
Adobe, have been developed as ways of distributing data in the
most efficient way possible. They do this by compressing it using zip
technology or making it possible to read using a freely available.
9. Rapid Transfer of Data
Files can be easily transferred and shared across the globe using the Internet.
• A file could be:
Emailed as an attachment
Sent over instant messenger
Downloaded from a website/web server
Accessed over a private network
Documents, eg a spreadsheet, can be stored on a web server and
then accessed via any computer with an Internet connection and a
web browser.
10. Sent over instant messenger
Emailed as an attachment
Downloaded from a website/web server
Accessed over a private network
You enter into a private network and you
may access files in there.
11. Concluding the presentation, we saw it was really
important to have information correctly for no confusing
ideas.
Translating data file types, rapid transfer and all the themes
we covered in the presentation are really important,
because we use to see them in our daily lifes, specially now
that technology is really developed and we spend
downloading lots of file types daily.
Thank you
