Moreton Bay College is a P-12 Girls’ School on the eastern outskirts of Brisbane. Three years ago the decision was taken at executive level that filtering was not the solution to our students’ cybersafety. In fact, stringent filtering was proving counter productive, as many new and potentially useful Web 2.0 sites were being blocked. The proliferation of 3G devices and the constant battle against proxy bypass sites also meant that filtering as a solution was doomed to failure. This presentation will look at the steps the school has taken to foster a climate of digital citizenship with its students inpreparation for the schools’ 1-to-1 implementation that began this year.

Tips for Surviving a BYOD Implementation
Surviving a BYOD Implementation
Surviving a BYOD Implementation

Schools are needing increasing amounts of expensive educational technology at a time when budgets are shrinking. Many have started to explore BYOD policies - Bring Your Own Device - as a practical solution to integrate cost effective technology into their educational programs. With the convergence of widespread broadband and the growth of powerful, platform independent web based tools BYOD has finally arrived as an effective educational alternative to other plans that require expensive purchasing and maintenance. Viewed within a realistic perspective of both its benefits and limitations BYOD can provide a workable solution for the many schools seeking to upgrade their educational technology.

What we know is less important than our capacity to continue to learn more until e-learning appeared. While elearning technology has matured considerably since its inception, there are still many problems that practitioners find when come implementing e-learning. Also, knowledge society of the 21st century requires a flexible learning environment which is able to adapt according to learning and teaching and communication technologies and services. So, many advances in technologies are taking place throughout the world to offer new opportunities in enhancing and making learning environment more effective and efficient. This new technologies enable students to personalize the environment in which they learn, utilizing a range of tools to meet their interests and needs. Therefore, universities are given great attention to new technology through research and university studies in achieving more and more advances to any country. That's why Egypt as a developed country is seeking to promote and develop its learning environment, specifically in the field of research and university studies related with applying new technology in e-learning field. So, research community has believed that an e-learning ecosystem is the next generation of e-learning but has faced challenges in optimizing resource allocations, dealing with dynamic demands on getting information and knowledge anywhere and anytime, handling rapid storage growth requirements, cost controlling and greater flexibility. So, flourish, growing, scalable, available, up to date and strong infrastructure elearning ecosystems in a productive and cost effective way will be needed to face challenges and rapidly changing in learning environment. This paper work focused on an e-learning ecosystem (ELES) which supports new technologies is introduced and implemented. An integration between cloud computing and Web 2.0 technologies and services used to support the development of e-learning ecosystems. Cloud computing an adoptable technology for many of the universities with its dynamic scalability and usage of virtualized resources as a service through the Internet and Web 2.0 brings new instruments help building dynamic elearning ecosystem on the web.

In BC’s nearly-decade-old “new” curriculum, the curricular competencies describe the processes that students are expected to develop in areas of learning such as mathematics. They reflect the “Do” in the “Know-Do-Understand” model. Under the “Communicating” header falls the curricular competency “Explain and justify mathematical ideas and decisions.” Note that it contains two processes: “Explain mathematical ideas” and “Justify mathematical decisions.” I have broken it down into its separate parts in order to understand--or reveal--its meaning. The first part is commonplace in classrooms. By now, BC math teachers—and students—understand that “Explain mathematical ideas” means more than “Show your work.” Teachers consistently ask “What did you do?” and “How do you know?” This process is about retelling, not just of steps but of thinking. The second part happens less frequently. Think back to the last time that you observed a student make—a necessary precursor to justify—a mathematical decision. “Justify” is about defending. Like “explain,” it involves reasoning; unlike “explain,” it also involves opinion and debate. In order to reinterpret the curricular competency “Explain and justify mathematical ideas and decisions,” I will continue to take apart its constituent part “Justify mathematical decisions” and carefully examine the term “mathematical decisions.” What, exactly, is a “mathematical decision”? Below, I will categorize answers to this question. These categories, and the provided examples, may help to suggest new opportunities for students to justify.

God is a creative God Gen 1:1. All that He created was “good”, could also be translated “beautiful”. God created man in His own image Gen 1:27. Maths helps us discover the beauty that God has created in His world and, in turn, create beautiful designs to serve and enrich the lives of others.

Mixin classes are helpful for developers to extend the models. Using these classes helps to modify fields, methods and other functionalities of models without directly changing the base models. This slide will show how to extend models using mixin classes in odoo 17.
