Scope of work PepsiCo develops to build a green field factory in VSIP, Bac Ninh province,
Vietnam located on the land area of approximately 12 ha.
Royal Haskoning Vietnam (RHV) is awarded to the project. RHV provides
full consultancy services of design, project management and construction
management for the following works including architecture, structure and
M&E. The structural design includes the supervision of topo & soil investigation.
The M&E design includes fire engineering, waste -storm water and electrical
engineering with suitable documents for FF/Const licenses. This factory is
designed and constructed as sustainable factory which directs to gain a green
and friendly environment LEED certificate.
The project consists of following main buildings: future extensible process
& filling, pack, utilities, warehouse and office. There are 6 filling lines in this
phase, which is expanded to 7 lines in the future.

Scope of work 25% of all Nestlé worldwide coffee production comes from Vietnam. Nestlé
invests to build a second factory in Amata IZ, Dong Nai province, Vietnam. The

Scope of work Vietnam Milk Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk) is the leading milk manufacturer
in Vietnam. Due to the large demand of powder milk, Vinamilk develops one
more Dielac II Infant Powder Milk factory with high-end equipment.
The factory is built on the total area of 6 ha at VSIP, Binh Duong, Vietnam, which
60% of this area is constructed. The main buildings are a process building of
approximately 12,000 m2, a warehouse of 16,000m2 and an office building of
1,000m2.
Vinamilk selected Royal Haskoning Vietnam to carry out the design, design
management and QS services for this factory.
It is the first time Vinamilk and RHV cooperate together. It is both an opportunity
and a challenge for RHV to get a long - term business with Vinamilk.

Scope of work Dobla is a leading producer of chocolate cups and decorations from the
Netherlands.
Not only does Dobla supply worldwide, but they also manufacture across the
borders. Our products are made in the Netherlands, Belgium and the United
States.
Dobla would like to expand his chocolate products to the Asian market. They
develop to build a new chocolate factory in My Xuan A IZ, Ba Ria - Vung Tau
province, Vietnam located on the land area of 1.3 ha.

Scope of work Unilever started operation in Vietnam in 1995. To meet the market’s need,
Unilever Vietnam develop another factory in Cu Chi, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
The factory is located on the land area of 1.3 ha next to the existing factory. It
consists of approximately 15,000m2 floor area with 3 floors and 2 mezzanines
with the administration office and process area (with equipments/machines)
in one factory block.

18. Project Name Sequent Brewery Plant

Scope of work In recent years Royal Haskoning, on behalf of Krones AG, has been successfully
involved in large projects. Krones, as being one of the leading manufacturers of
machinery and production lines in the food and beverage industry, contracted
Royal Haskoning as partner in the Sequele-project. This project is located around
35 km outside Luanda, the capital of Angola. On an estate of 62ha, a beverage
production plant is foreseen including a can factory, glass factory, supporting
facilities, canteen and administration building. Several existing buildings on
the premises have to be respected and implemented in the design as much as
possible. Total build surface is approx. 100.000m2 excluding roads.
Royal Haskoning is contracted to provide project management and total
design from conceptual design up to and including tendering documents and
execution design in the fields of architecture, structural engineering, building
installations and infrastructure. Furthermore some studies where done like soil
investigation and topographical survey. All conceptual designs and coordination
are executed in the Netherlands, for detailed design a substantial contribution
is provided through our overseas offices in Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam. So
far this is the largest project done with overseas offices working to one uniform
final product. All engineering was completed in only 14 months.

Scope of work A turnkey project for the design, construction and installation works of a
complete brewery: the initial capacity of the brewery is 50 million litres per
year and this will be expanded in the future to 100 million litres per year. The
total site area is approximately 17 hectares and total constructed floor area is
over 51,000m2.
Royal Haskoning Vietnam (RHV) carried out all design works for the buildings,
including the architectural, structural and building services design. Moreover
RHV provided the project and construction management services including
cost and progress controls and health, safety and environmental supervision.
Main buildings include the brew-house, tank room and filling hall. The complete
factory is inclusive of power supply, water treatment plant and waste water
treatment plant.

Scope of work Royal FrieslandCampina Vietnam selected Royal Haskoning Vietnam (RHV) for
the several upgrades of the existing factory in Binh Duong province.
RHV provided design, tendering process, project & construction management
for these projects: new milk reception area, new raised slab, modification to
utility building, an extension to the existing building.
Moreover Royal Haskoning is Royal FrieslandCampina’s repeat partner in the
world.

Client Masan Food Corp.

Scope of work Masan Food Corp. invested a new factory located on the land area of 10 hectares
in Tan Dong Hiep A IZ, Binh Duong province. The factory’s constructed area is
around 34,300m2.
Royal Haskoning Vietnam (RHV) was selected to the project. RHV provided all
consultancy services of architectural design, structural and M & E engineering
as well as tendering for this project.

20. Project Name Dutch Lady Dairy Factory
Location Chau Son Industrial Zone, Ha Nam Province
Client Royal Friesland Campina (Formerly Known As Dutch Lady Vietnam)
Period 2006-2008
Scope of work Dutch Lady Vietnam produces milk products for the Vietnamese market.
Dutch
Lady’s first factory, also designed by Royal Haskoning Vietnam, was built in
Binh Duong province in 1996. The factory in Ha Nam is their second factory in
Vietnam and has been constructed on a greenfield site.
The project included a factory for the production of liquid milk and drinking
yoghurt. It also included a separate facility for the production of infant milk
products, utility and office building, canteen, water treatment and waste water
treatment plant, store buildings, parking areas and roads. As of May 2008 the
annual production capacity of the factory is 200 million kg of dairy products.
Project Name Saigon Cu Chi Brewery Project, Phase 1 & Phase 2
Location Tay Bac Cu Chi Industrial Zone, Ho Chi Minh City

Period 2006-2008
Scope of work A turnkey project for the design, construction and installation works of a
complete brewery. The initial capacity of the brewery is 100 million litres per
year and this was expanded in the future to 200 million litres.
Royal Haskoning Vietnam (RHV) carried out all the design works for the
buildings, including the architectural, structural and building services design.
RHV also provided project & construction management services including cost
and progress controls and health, safety and environmental management. The
total site area is approximately 50 ha and the total constructed floor area over
30,000m2. Main buildings include the brewhouse, tank room, filling hall and
full store. The complete factory includes power supply, water treatment plant
and waste water treatment plant. The brewery buildings and materials comply
with GMP guidelines and are suitable for food industry use.
Phase 2 doubled the capacity of the brewery adding another tank room, full
store, bottling hall, NH3 building extension and external works.
RHV is very proud that this project received the Vietnamese Construction
Quality Gold Cup Award 2010.

Location Binh Hoa Commune, Thuan An District, Binh Duong Province
Client Royal Friesland Campina (Formerly Known Dutch Lady Vietnam)
Period 2002 - 2003
Scope of work The redevelopment project comprised a service area and a filling room as a
high care area for three combi bloc fillers. The existing corridor and store were
modified as a packing area for three downstream lines that can function as
accumulator, promotion sticker labeler, straw applicator, shrink wrapper and
carton sealer.
Royal Haskoning Vietam provided construction design, tender procedure,
construction management, site supervision and health, safety and
environmental management.

Scope of work Unilever requested Royal Haskoning Vietnam to provide a design and tender
document for alteration works to their tea factory in Cu Chi, Ho Chi Minh City.
The works consisted of two different projects carried out at the same time. The
first project was a re-fit out and extension of the ice tea production facility
and the second project was the incorporation of all the acquired Best food
operations from the Best food factory.
The design included architectural, structural and mechanical & electrical
works.

Location Binh Hoa Commune, Thuan An District, Binh Duong Province
Client Royal Friesland Campina (formerly known as Dutch Lady Vietnam)

Scope of work Three years after the opening of their milk processing plant in Song Be
province
(Binh Duong province), Vietnam Foremost decided to extend their factory with
3,500 m2 of warehouse. In addition, 1,500m2 of production building was added
and various amendments to the existing facility ware carried out.
Royal Haskoning Vietnam provided the designs for the building extension
and the expansion of the utility systems. Overall project management and
construction management was part of the scope of work as well.

RHV is part of a team of Haskoning offices in the Netherlands, Thailand, Nigeria
and Vietnam. This is the perfect example of a multi-national cooperation where
the expertise and resources of the different offices were used to the benefit of
the project. For example, various building materials were sourced from different
parts of the world; i.e. a main part of the structural steel was sourced from
Thailand. The scope of work comprised two bottling halls, a full store and a

Scope of work The new facility is located on a land area of 4 hectares at Amata Industrial Park,
Dong Nai province, Vietnam.
The project is divided into three phases and capacities. After completing all
phases the capacity will reach about 20 to 25 million litres annually depending
on the product mix. In the first phase of this project, a plant capacity of about
6 million-litre water-borne and 1 million-litre of solvent-borne paint has been
planned. The production building includes offices, laboratories and amenities
(about 2,200m2). The warehouse of about 2,500 m2 comprises offices with
future expansion capabilities. The production equipment and air compressor
with dryer, firewater basin includes hydrant systems for the firefighting
network.
Royal Haskoning Vietnam has a full scope of design capabilities, architectural,
structural and mechanical & electrical design as well as relevant process

Scope of work The facility is located on a land area of 11,970 m2 at the Song Than Industrial

The existing factory including main office building, canteen and locker building,
production and warehouse building, mainly producing solvent based paints
takes up 30% of the site. The new factory expansion was designed to handle
solvent based and water based paints including a new production building,
new FG warehouse, new drum storage building and utility buildings such as
a washing station, toxic store, maintenance store, generator building, air
compressor and fire fighting building.

Bac Ninh province, Vietnam for their medium voltage and high voltage
products. The facility includes production space, warehouses, office building,
utility building and auxiliary services totaling 11,250m2.
Royal Haskoning Vietnam carried out conceptual design, detailed and tender
design, construction management and project aftercare as well as health,
safety and environmental management.
RHV was involved in reconstruction works at ABB’s existing Hanoi transformer
factory, and we are pleased to have ABB as a repeat client.

Scope of work Indochina Land acquired a 13.74ha greenfield site in Quang Nam province with
the intention of developing it as an industrial park consisting of 65 standard
factory units. Each unit has a footprint area of 1,000m2 with optional mezzanine
space suitable for offices. The basic units can be fitted-out in a number of ways
and also combined into larger units, suitable for light industry or warehouse,
etc.
Royal Haskoning Vietnam provided complete services for the development of
the industrial park including a master plan showing road layouts, main and
distribution services and a detailed design of the standard units.

Scope of work Colgate Palmolive building is a state-of-the-art production facility in an
industrial zone outside of Ho Chi Minh City.
Royal Haskoning Vietnam provided full consultancy and construction
management services for the whole project. Colgate Palmolive and Royal
Haskoning Vietnam are committed to the environment and are working in a
joint effort in this project to deliver a sustainable, green building. This design
required the LEED certification by the United States Green Building Coucil
(USGBC). Colgate Palmolive (Vietnam) Ltd. has been awarded the Silver LEED
certificate for this project. It is a first LEED certified building in Vietnam. Such
a LEED certified building will bring an environmental and economic benefit.
And it also demonstrates the owner’s and Royal Haskoning’s commitment to
environmental stewardship and social responsibility.RHV’s design included a
master plan for future developments on the site.

Scope of work Wassenburg invested in a production facility in the North of Vietnam for
medical equipment.
Wassenburg selected Royal Haskoning Vietnam as their consultant for the

future extensions including testing facilities were incorporated into the site

Scope of work The Cu Chi manufacturing site project was aimed at realizing new manufacturing
facilities for Lever Vietnam. The facilities were constructed at the Cu Chi Site,
Lot A2-3, Cu Chi Industrial Zone, Ho Chi Minh City. The site is located on a 6ha
piece of land, adjacent to the EPS factory.
In the first phase the site was developed to accommodate a liquid plant, which
was designed with a total initial output of 26,000 tons of product per annum
and provisions for future expansion of the plant. All necessary facilities and
utilities required for the operation of the plant were provided in compliance
with the local standards, regulations and codes of practice, but according to an
international quality level.
Royal Haskoning Vietnam carried out the detailed engineering for the whole
site developed with appropriated infrastructures, buildings mid structures,
facilities and utility systems required for the proper operation of the liquid
plant and integration with other sites.

32. Project Name Philips New Lamp Manufacturing Plant

Scope of work For this factory, Philips originally intended to carry out the turn-key work. The
project was for a new fluorescent lights manufacturing plant of 3,000m2 in a
land area of approx. 14,000m2 for local market and export sales.
Royal Haskoning Vietnam carried out an independent cost-review and it
appeared the project could be reduced by 20% compared to other turn-key
offers, by carefully selecting suppliers and revising the design to comply more
with local practice.
RHV coordinated the soil investigation of the site to determine the most
cost-effective foundation. RHV prepared concept and detailed designs including
architectural, structural, mechanical & electrical and logistical layouts of the
buildings and surroundings. RHV also provided construction management and
site supervision to ensure a smooth progress of the construction works and this
resulted in an international standard plant.

was approximately USD 4.0 millions, in which 35 % was financed by ORET/
MILIEV subsidy.

Scope of work Camau phase 1 project is part of the Ca Mau gas-power fertilizer complex in the
southern-most province of Ca Mau, and was designed to be operated by either
gas or fuel oil with a capacity of 750 MW in the first phase.
The plant consisted of two gas turbines, two heat recovery steam generators,
and one steam turbine. The two gas turbines were expected to generate
power by early 2007, the complete power plant was scheduled for commercial
operation in December 2007.
Royal Haskoning Vietnam performed design work for lot 4, comprising
architectural, structural and mechanical & electrical design, for the general
site (roads, drains, lighting etc), and for most of the non-technical buildings,
including the admin building, switchyard control building, central control
building, workshop, warehouse, canteen, etc. Furthermore the design of
foundations for various parts of the plant was RHV’s scope of work as well.

Scope of work Phase II of the Camau power plant project increased the capacity from 750 MW

Scope of work CII develops an office tower project in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Located on
Dien Bien Phu St. where is one of the main gateways to the center of Ho Chi
Minh City from the east, CII office tower is comprised of 2 basement floors and
27 floors. The total land area for construction is about 5,848 m2.
Royal Haskoning Vietnam (RHV) is requested to provide consultancy services
of design review and construction management for this project. RHV provides
design review and verification services for architectural, structural and M & E
works. Moreover RHV provides a construction management service. It consists
of construction management; site supervision; health, safety and environment
management and project after care.
Project Name Jotun Paints Off ice Extension
Location Song Than Industrial Zone, Binh Duong Province
Client Jotun Paints Vietnam Ltd.
Period 2008 - 2009
Scope of work Jotun Paints Vietnam expanded their office at Binh Duong factory site. The
expansion was needed to accommodate an additional 80 people in the
extended part of the office and to provide a new meeting room for 130 people.
The existing meeting room is used to provide additional office space.
Royal Haskoning Vietnam supplied services as follows: design, project
and construction management as well as health, safety and environment
management. The original factory was also designed by RHV, and we are
pleased to have Jotun as a repeat client.
Project Name River Tower

Scope of work River Tower is a 35-floor office building designed by the world famous Architects
Foster+Partners. Foster+Partners designed projects such as the 30 St.Mary Axe,
London (The Gherkin), Chek Lap Kok International Airport, Hongkong, HSBC
Headquarters Building, Hongkong, etc.
Their design concepts of the River Tower promise that this will be a unique
building in the HCMC skyline.
Royal Haskoning Vietnam is very proud to be selected as the local engineers for
this project which recognizes our high standards and professionalism.
RHV prepared the detailed structural design and calculations based on
conceptual structural design by Buro Happold, London.
