5. CASA
• The CASA ratio shows how much deposit a
bank has in the form of current and saving
account deposits in the total deposit.
• Higher the CASA ratio better the net interest
margin, which means better operating
efficiency.
8. Cash Transaction Report
• Every banking company has to furnish details
of the following cash transactions:
1. All cash transactions of the value of more
than rupees ten lakhs or its equivalent
2. All series of cash transactions connected to
each other which have been valued below Rs.
ten lakh where such series of transactions
have taken place within a month.
9. Suspicious transaction report
• Suspicious transaction means a transaction
whether or not made in cash which, to a
person acting in good faith, which –
• gives rise to a reasonable ground of suspicion
that it may involve the proceeds of crime; or
• appears to be made in circumstances of
unusual complexity; or
• appears to have no economic rationale or
bonafide purpose.
