As the Renaissance developed in
Italy the Ottomans built their first
towns and cities in Europe and took
over Adrianople which is located in
Thrace. From Thrace they continued
to conquer the Balkans, while
overrunning Bulgaria.

The reason I picked the Ottoman Turks is because
I like the way they fought in war they were very
aggressive and fought until death.
The Ottoman army had been the biggest in Europe, there navy was in
charge of the shipping lanes of the eastern Mediterranean, also its capital
Istanbul was five times bigger the size of Paris. Its resources seemed
limitless, and its capacity to get rid of opposition in the name of Islam
helped the Turkish Empire to have an awesome presence.
What Mustafa Kemal learned from his
time with the Young Turks was harsh.
One was that good thoughts alone do
not assure political success.
Another was that the best men—at
least those Kemal considered best
didn’t always become the leaders.
Kemal thought that men like Enver,
who was being widely acclaimed as
the leaders of the new Turkey,
were not worthy of their
popularity.
