2. On 29-08-2013 equal to the last Thursday we were given an assignment to do the installation
on a computer network with access point and 4 computers version of Windows 7 Professional
chosen to be the server. We provided 2 hours to make network connectivity and data sharing
on all computers whether it is wired or wireless use. To do this, we use a star topology
networks. We (CP3T17) do these tasks together CP3T18.
TIME (p.m.) ACTIVITY
1.25 Division of tasks (CP3T17 and CP3T18) performed to determine who will do
wiring and find tutorials.
1.30 The wiring decided to choose 4 types of computer Windows 7 Professional as
the server.
1.35 Wiring from the access point to the computer starts.
1.38 Other student research the tutorials about the installation of the computer
network.
1.40 Other students clustered around the wiring where possible.
1.48 Wiring done stringy and messy. Re-wiring done.

1.49 There are other students who are trying to connect to the network but to no
avail.
1.50 Another computer that does not use wires still not connected to the network
because the computer has not been successful in the wiring connected to the
network built by the wiring.
1.51 Conditions in the laboratory heats and the other students are still waiting for
the computer to be connected to a network server.
Students at the wiring still trying to do their job.

4. 2.06 2 computers are successfully connected to the network server.
2.09 3 computers have successfully connected and the remaining balance of 1
computer being developed to be connected to the network.
2.17 1 computer on the server had to be reduced because it cannot be connected
after several computer replacements done. Wireless network connection on

2.20 Some computers already successfully connected to the network.
2.23 Other student excited when their computer is successfully connect to the
network.
2.27 Only 11 computers can be connected and there are several successful
computer not connected because different version of the server.
2.35 Sir request reports from the wiring.
2.38 Sir waited but still no reports from the wiring.
2.43 Sir gives explanations. All students listen carefully.
2.46 Sir commands windows 7 kind of computer owner who cannot connect to the
network went ahead and asked them to explain why they failed to computers
connected to the network.

6. 2.50 Data sharing is started.
2.55 Successful data sharing.
The total of computer has in that time is 33 computers, 10 computers have a version
Windows 8 and other 23 is version Windows 7 Starter, Home Basic, Home Premium and
Professional. Only 11 computers is successfully connected on a computer network include
the 3 computer server.
This occurred because the several problems:
a) Some version that use is not same with the computer server.
b) Windows 7 Professional is use as a server and automatically Windows 8 can’t
connect.
c) Has interruption from other computer.
Several caused the computer connects slowly:
a) Students do not know how to connect the network.
b) All computers are on at the same time.
c) In computer network, one per one computer need connected not at once.
