1. Electric Tea Kettle Reviews
Every nation seems to have a different idea on how to make a great cup of tea. True tea lovers
know that the secret to the perfect cup of tea depends on 3 things.
The freshness of the tea
The temperature of the water and
The brewing time
Believe me, it sounds reasonably easy when someone explains the step by step actions needed
to pour that perfect cuppa however in today’s society people are just too busy to make sure the
water is just the right temperature, or that you have left the tea to steep for long enough to reach
that unique flavor, but not so long to cause the tea to turn bitter!
These days we turn the coffee machine on in the morning as we head off to the bathroom to
finish getting ready or we switch on the kettle to boil as we jump into the shower or chase up the
kids to get ready for school. There’s just no time.
Well the good news is that we no longer have to put up with a mediocre cuppa any more. We
can get that perfect cup of tea with the water temperature that is just right and the exact
steeping time required.
The Electric Tea Kettles are here and they are making great cups of tea using any type of tea
you like. Green, Oolong, Black, White, Herbal and the list goes on.
After some intense research and many cups of tea, I’ve found what I believe to be the 3 best
electric tea kettles on the market.
Breville One-Touch Tea Maker
Firstly, the Breville One-Touch Tea Maker.
Definitely my favorite of the three. The Breville Tea Kettle features a fully automated tea basket
which moves down, then up, in and out of the water gently agitating the leaves.
The Breville Tea Brewer has a 60 minute keep warm feature and can be set to brew tea at the
programmed time. The variable water temperature is adjustable via 5 degree increments and is
1/3
2. also held at temperature while the tea is steeping.
The only con I could find for the Breville Tea Kettle was the price. One of the more expensive
Electric Tea Kettles on the market but in my opinion, totally worth the money.
My second choice was actually the cheapest of the three kettles.
Adagio Teas triniTea Electric 32 -Ounce Tea Maker
The Adagio Teas TriniTea Electric 32 ounce tea maker.
A clever little machine that is very easy to use with two temperature settings and a variable
steeping time of 2-7 minutes. The water is heated in the top chamber, drops into the steeping
chamber with the tea, steeps for the required time, then drops into the carafe at the bottom. The
best part of this kettle is that it keeps your tea warm for hours.
The cons, it’s not fast. It can take up to 20 minutes from the time you put the cold water in the
top chamber but I guess you can always hit the go button and take a shower.
Also I’ve noticed that alot of people have complained about the carafe dripping while pouring
the tea. Actually I’ve experienced this problem with a number of kettles I’ve owned and have
found that you really just have to pour slowly to avoid drips.
It also does claim to make 4 cups of tea however I’ve never gotten 4 cups. 3 cups has pretty
much been the most I’ve been able to produce.
Overall, the Adagio Teas TriniTea Maker does have a few flaws but for the price I’m not
complaining.
My third and last choice is the IQ Innovations Fine T Tea Machine.
2/3
3. IQ Innovations Fine T Tea Machine
This 4 cup tea machine has some nifty features including a 24 hour programmable timer which
allows you to wake up to freshly brewed hot tea. The infusion basket and filter swing out for
easy cleaning and a hot plate will keep your tea warm for 30 minutes and then the machine
automatically shuts off.
The biggest downfall of this machine is that you cannot edit the 7 program settings or do any
manual settings for timing or temperature. The programs only offer temperatures of 160 degrees
or 205 degrees with no varying between.
The settings definitely take some getting used to and are not really user friendly.
The IQ Innovations Fine T Tea Machine is on the pricey side. The 24 hour timer is the best
feature of all however, for me, not having the opportunity to change water temperature is what
lets this machine down.
If you are not too picky about the water temperature settings however then I would recommend
checking this machine out.
