         for Business
• You must create a business page not a profile
• Unlimited number of likes (fans) for your page
• Anyone can view our Facebook Page
• Content posted on your page is indexed by Google
• Brand your page with custom graphics
• Post content as the page or use your personal
  profile
• Update frequently to harness the power of news
  feed
• Promote your page through Facebook Deals
• Run contests and sweepstakes
Using Twitter for Business
• Tweet in 120 characters if possible to save
  room for re-tweets.
• Tweet valuable info and include links to posts,
  videos, pictures. Use shortened. urls (bit.ly,

• Tweet @ your followers with engaging

• Re-tweet is a powerful distribution

Virginia recognized for wine-tourism campaign on Twitter

RICHMOND
Virginia has won a national tourism award for its social media campaign about wine travel in the state.
Gov. Bob McDonnell says the Virginia Tourism Corporation has won a Mercury Award for Niche Marketing from the
U.S. Travel Association. The industry group awards only 12 each year.
Virginia took home top honors for Vintage Tweets. The social media campaign used the networking website Twitter to
promote wine tourism. The campaign targeted media, bloggers and consumers.
Officials say the state is becoming one of the top wine destinations in the country.
Virginia is home to 160 wineries, 16 wine trails and was recently named one of the top five up-and-coming wine
destinations in the world by Travel + Leisure magazine.

Gov. Bob McDonnell says the Virginia Tourism Corporation has won a Mercury Award for Niche Marketing from the U.S. Travel Association. The industry group awards only 12 each year.
