BSNL/MTNL BPL Mobile
India's wireless subscriber base has grown by about 2.34% to reach 887.1 million at end of December, from 866.8 million at end of
December 2012.
Total GSM subscribers at the end of November was 737.09 million, a growth of about 5.61% since December 2012. On the other
hand, CDMA subscribers base fell at a rate of about 5.82% since December 2012 to reach a total of 198.6 million at the end of
December 2013.
Total mobile user base in urban areas has decreased from 577.78 million at end of November 2012 to 523.8 million at the end of
November 2013, a fall of about 9.3%; whereas share of rural subscribers has increased from 343.69 million in November’12 to
357.33 million in November’13, a 3.96% rise.
