3. Why do we need food? Food helps your mind growand develop It helps you grow strong bones Your hair and teeth wouldn’t grow without food Without food we wouldn’t be able to live! What sort of foods are good for you?
4. Good foods- Beans & Pulses All types of fruit All types of vegetables and salad Fish White meats like turkey and chicken Milk, cheese & dairy products Bread & Potatoes Meat alternatives Some fats and sugar are ok as well!
5. We all need different types of food to live and be healthy.
6. What foods should we avoid? Foods that have been fried Chocolate Sugary foods like sweets Fatty meats Crisps and biscuits Fizzy drinks These foods can be enjoyed in moderation though!
7. We also need lots of water! A bit of fruit cordial or squash helps water taste a bit nicer sometimes.
8. What else should we do to keep healthy? Running and playing Swimming Dancing Sports like football or netball Going to the gym Walking the dog Walk to school rather than take the bus
