This document summarizes a 5-day online course called BYOD4L (Bring Your Own Devices for Learning) that explored using personal devices and open pedagogical models to create an open learning community. Each day focused on a different theme like connecting, communicating, curating, collaborating, and creating. Participants engaged in Twitter chats, blog posts, online discussions, and created artifacts like visual maps and magazines. The course saw growing participation over the 5 days across its WordPress site, Facebook group, and Google+ community. Organizers aim to continue the community through ongoing events and exploring other delivery formats.
