2. The popular western view on destiny is that we are in control of our lives
and everything that happens to us is a result of our own choice. This is
only possible in a free country as is America. Without freedom destiny
lacks significance. You can't prescribe your destiny nor to
always conquer it. But you can accept it and live with it.
The modern psychological investigationof destiny was begun by Sigmund
Freud in 1915. He refers to the laws of nature as forms of fate, as a
necessity. "All events in human life are governed by chance occurrences of
childhood and the necessities of nature.“
Speaking about Freud. Twenty-three-years later, the Nazis took over
Austriaand every business owned by Jews had a Nazi appointed to run it.
For eighty-two-year-old Sigmund Freud, the appointed "commissar" was a
young chemist. Himmler wanted all psychoanalysts, especially Freud,
humiliatedand, later, killed. And the young chemist was in the position to
seal Freud's fate.
3. Hitler developed his great power over the German people by his use of
destiny. When he spoke of the destiny of the German people, he was
using the term correctly no matter how destructive his campaigns turned
out to be.
World War Two in Europe came to a close in Czechoslovakia. It was the
General George S. Patton’s forces that liberated the Sudetenland region
along the old 1937 German-Czechoslovak border. Patton was anxious to
continue advancing on Prague. He was denied: "For God's sake, those
patriots in the city need our help!" Patton pleaded with his superior. But
for Eisenhower the liberation of Czechoslovakia was a lower priority. He
was wrestling with several major issues of greater importance. The Red
Armyarrived five days later to liberate the country. The war in Europe
was finally over and the new war had begun, the cold war. Could you
control such destiny? Could you conquer it?
4. We are now coming out with a motion picture that portraits human
destinyin the grasp of politics during the years of silence, the cold war
era. It was the time of Russianinvasion, Vietnam War and the
expressivesongs of hippies. This true story also proves that history
repeats itself as it is closely related to the political crisis of today. For
contradictions in ideologies have existed since the beginning of
civilization and propelled a mass of migration. Just like today. Also
espionagehasn't ended with the fall of the Iron Curtain. (Espionage
carried the highest level of penalty.) The story takes place in Prague,
New York and Atlanta, and involves some significant figures as is Shirley
Temple Black. Filming will be held in a major European film studio.
Our hearts awaken with a real life story. We can feel the characters'
struggle, love, pain, every emotion. We are always curious about
people's lives, especially when we realize that many of our ancestors
went through a similar destiny of life.
