This is a powerpoint presentation that I use for my studio art students. They are mixed in with my beginning class, so I have to find out ways to get them the information they need that they can view from their school ipads while I am teaching a lesson to the intro to art students. And yes, I know I don't do powerpoint very well bcs I just learned how a few days ago-this is for my students only-so no negative comments please.

Color refers to the hue, lightness, and saturation of an object. In physics, color is linked specifically with a form of electromagnetic radiation that generates a certain wavelength visible to the human eye. Color theory refers to both the science and art of utilizing color. It describes how humans perceive color based on the visual phenomena of how colors mix and match with each other. Color theory also refers to how color can convey emotion and or message. The consumer buying decision process is said to take approximately 90 seconds or less, it is also widely regarded that 90% of that decision process is largely guided by color persuasion. And as such, ensuring your branding activities focus on delivering an appropriate color palette is hugely important. ---- Want to learn more, please visit our website: https://liasidik.com Be sure to follow us: https://www.instagram.com/liasidik https://www.facebook.com/liasidik.branding https://twitter.com/liasidik Or contact our team via WhatsApp +62 89 659 108 869 If you have any additional questions, please leave a comment. This is the first assignment I go through with my students, each of these concepts is a simple precept in my course that we explore as the course progresses. Here's a link to the packet I use to supplement the poster with: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6-Qu1ZGIO_7M0ZZZ0hSMHRDTzA/edit?usp=sharing Students are offered many ways to make the poster, they can paint directly onto it, they can paint on sticker paper, they can paint on paper and stick it to the poster, they can paint on contact paper, any of these methods works. It's an extrememly simple assignment that I call back to all the time when I use academic vocabulary or reference or demonstrate a skill. Like say for instance, "You need to use dry brush here to make this visual texture, remember that from the painting theory poster?" often the student remembers and is able to reproduce or at least converse in the language of that technique. The painting assignments after this one are where they master these techniques and apply them to real world situations.

Medical and life sciences translation is an intimidating specialization for linguists lacking a scientific or technical background. The technical terminology, handwritten doctor notes, acronyms, complex medical phraseology, and regulatory requirements can leave novices treading in troubled waters. In this presentation, we will tackle the primary barriers to entry, explore linguistic and medical resources to build a better understanding of medical terminology and concepts, and examine the structure and scope of commonly translated documents (reports, journal articles, regulatory submissions, trial protocols, etc.). We will also discuss appropriate points of entry, industry standards, and language- and locale-specific challenges.

In BC’s nearly-decade-old “new” curriculum, the curricular competencies describe the processes that students are expected to develop in areas of learning such as mathematics. They reflect the “Do” in the “Know-Do-Understand” model. Under the “Communicating” header falls the curricular competency “Explain and justify mathematical ideas and decisions.” Note that it contains two processes: “Explain mathematical ideas” and “Justify mathematical decisions.” I have broken it down into its separate parts in order to understand--or reveal--its meaning. The first part is commonplace in classrooms. By now, BC math teachers—and students—understand that “Explain mathematical ideas” means more than “Show your work.” Teachers consistently ask “What did you do?” and “How do you know?” This process is about retelling, not just of steps but of thinking. The second part happens less frequently. Think back to the last time that you observed a student make—a necessary precursor to justify—a mathematical decision. “Justify” is about defending. Like “explain,” it involves reasoning; unlike “explain,” it also involves opinion and debate. In order to reinterpret the curricular competency “Explain and justify mathematical ideas and decisions,” I will continue to take apart its constituent part “Justify mathematical decisions” and carefully examine the term “mathematical decisions.” What, exactly, is a “mathematical decision”? Below, I will categorize answers to this question. These categories, and the provided examples, may help to suggest new opportunities for students to justify.
