8. BRWA Culvert Project History
In 2003, BRWA received $21,000 from USFWS to
remediate 3 crossings in the BRW.
9. Culvert Program Objectives
• Identify and inventory all stream/road crossings in
the Bad River Watershed
• Prioritize crossings in need of repair with respect to
fish passage barriers and sedimentation
• Search for funding to help pay for new installations
• Monitor the effects of restoration
• Educate watershed citizens about the environmental
and fiscal costs of improperly designed and/or installed
culverts
