Surf Life

El surf rock es un subgénero de la música rock practicado por músicos aficionados al surf, especialmente entre los años 50, 60
y 70 en California, muy similar a algunas formas de garage rock. La alineación básica de una banda surf consiste en guitarra
líder, guitarra rítmica, bajo y batería, aunque es común el uso de otros instrumentos como saxofón y órgano. El surf es
considerado el primer género musical que incluyó el bajo eléctrico en su alineación. Desde un principio las bandas surf han
optado por utilizar principalmente instrumentos musicales de la compañía Fender, generalmente guitarras como la Stratocaster,
Jaguar o Jazzmaster; Precision Bass para el bajo, así como amplificadores de la misma marca. Esto es en gran parte debido al
sonido tan característico que proporcionan estos instrumentos que se ajustaba a la perfección con el sonido que las bandas
requerían.

cierto, el llamado "hot rod" es básicamente lo mismo que el surf pop, simplemente hecho por bandas que preferían el asfalto a
la playa, los coches a las tablas y el rugir de los motores al de las olas. Dónde los del surf hablan de diversión, verano, chicas y
