The gifts of imperfections
1. Whole Hearted Living
by
Brene Brown
Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is
the bravest ting we will ever do in our life
2. Whole Hearted Living
Knowing ourselves and understanding outlives are critical
factors but loving yourself is the most critical factor in
living a whole hearted life.
Dig Deep
Deliberate, Inspired and Going (take action)
Infinite power of our light is achieved by sharing our
story, removing vulnerabilities
3. Gifts of Imperfections
Courage, Compassion and connection
Courage is speaking one’s mind by telling all its heart.
Compassion comes from the root, pati cum means to
suffer with, the heart of compassion is really is the
acceptance and understanding. The better we accept
ourselves the more compassionate we become.
4. Gifts of Imperfections
Connection: It is the energy that exists between people
with no boundaries or judgments and conditions and
they sustain and drive strength from each other. We are
wired for connection from birth.
Three key elements in life to remember: courage,
compassion and connection. These qualities lead to fight
the imperfections in our lives.
5. Exploring the power of Love,
belonging and being enough
When we let go of what other people thing and own our
story, we gain access to our worthiness, feeling we are
just enough of what we are and that we are worthy of
love and belonging.
We are worthy now as is, not if and not when.
We are worth of love and belonging right this minute
Concept of fitting in and belonging by pleasing others
and being perfectionist.
6. Shame Resilience
Shame is an intense feeling of being not loved
We all have it and it is one of the most primitive human
emotions that we experience.
We are all afraid to talk about it.
The less we talk about it the more control it has over our
lives
Guilt = I did something bad whereas Shame = I am bad
7. Cultivating Authenticity
Letting go what people think of yourself.
It is practicing. A conscious choice of how we want to
live.
Mindful practicing authenticity by inviting grace, joy and
gratitude into our lives especially when we are dealing
with our soul searching struggles.
8. Cultivating Authenticity
Dig Deep
Get Deliberate: Stand on your sacred ground, don’t
shrink and don’t puff up. Should be your mantra
Get inspired. From other people’s stories
Get going. Take action and be firm
9. Cultivating Self compassion
by letting go of perfectionism
The thing that is really hard and really amazing is giving
up on being perfect and beginning the work of being
yourself. Ann Quindlen
Perfectionism is self destructive and addictive.
Failure to achieve perfection leads to self blame and “ I
am not good enough” feeling shamed , judged and
experience painful emotions.
Perfectionism is an unattainable goal.
10. Cultivating a Resilient Spirit by letting go of
numbness and powerfulness
Be resourceful and have problem solving skills
Seek help and have social support and connections.
Practicing spirituality brings a sense of percpective ,
meaning and purpose to our lives. This the key element
and a protective factor, gives life a bounce, why because
we are all connected to each other by a power great than
us. I
11. Cultivating Gratitude and Joy
letting go of scarcity and fear of the dark
Joy is unlike happiness is a light that fills you with hope,
faith and love.
Whereas the dark does not destroy the light;
It defines it and it is the fear of our dark that casts our joy
into the shadows.
12. Cultivating intuition and trusting
our faith
Letting go of the need for certainty.
Intuition is not a single way of knowing, it is our ability to
trust many we have developed knowledge and insight
based on instinct, faith experience and reason.
Faith is a mystery: We find courage to believe in what
we cannot see and let go of fear of uncertainty.
13. Cultivating Creativity
Letting go of comparison
Cultivating play and rest letting go of exhaustions a
status symbol and productivity as a self worth.
Cultivating calm and stillness, letting go of anxiety as a
life style
14. Cultivate Meaningful Work
Let go of self doubt and, “supposed to”
Cultivate laughter, song and dance, letting go of being
cool and always in control
Dance like no one is watching, sing like no one is
listening, love like you have never been hurt and live like
it heaven on earth, Mark Twain.
15. Final thought
It gives me an outline or sort of a blue print follow at this
stage of my life.
I have self doubt at times and feel could have done few
things differently.
It gives me a sense of understanding about the role of
spirituality and religion in life.
Leading a life to please and impress others ring a hollow
note and being creative, cheerful and bouncy is the right
way to live.
