Arthur Szyk was a Polish-American artist known for his stamp designs. Some of his stamp designs include ANZAC club poster stamps from 1942 promoting membership, Liberian stamps from 1949 including one, two and three-cent denominations, and air mail designs for Liberia from 1948. He also produced a series of illustrated histories of various countries and topics including the United States, Canada, Poland, France, Great Britain, the USSR, Switzerland, China, Israel, and flight.
