2.  Based on the results of the Technology survey, I would offer small group
training on the Edline program and Voice thread. It was very hard to
determine what professional development the teachers showed the most
interest because some of the teachers did not complete the rating questions
correctly. I selected Edline because 6 of the teachers rated it a 1 meaning that
they were interested in professional development on this topic. Edline is the
program the district requires all the teachers to use, and many of the teachers
are not familiar with this program. I think professional development on this
program will benefit those that are interested as well as some of the other
teachers at my school because they have limited knowledge about using this
program. I would also like to provide professional development on Voice
thread because 5 teachers rated that as a 2 which meant they are interested in
learning more about Web 2.0 tools. I selected Voice Thread because most of
the teachers indicated they were advanced in using the computer and
knowledgeable about Microsoft office. Voice Thread will allow the teachers to
improve their power point presentations in their classroom.

3.  I will provide the professional development during the
grade level meeting because 76% of the teachers said they
would prefer that time. I have spoken to my principal, and
he has agreed to allow me to present the technology
professional development at the grade level meetings. Mr.
Chenier also said that if more time is needed, he is willing to
work with me because it is beneficial to the school as well as
beneficial to me. I will follow up with all faculty members
that attended the professional development within two –
three weeks following the PD session. If more support is
needed by the teachers, I will provide one-on-one coaching
in their classroom. All classrooms have promethean boards,
internet access, teacher/ student workstations, and
projectors. I will also provide handouts at each session, and
I will post videos to the school website for anyone desiring
to use them. We have not started grade level meetings due
to Hurricane Isaac. I will present the professional
development at the December grade level meetings.
