Response to Intervention: Led initial planning, staff development and implementation of RtI model at Avon
Center School (ACS), UNO Charter School (UNO) and Universal American School of Kuwait (UAS).
Progress monitoring showed significant gains for Tier II and Tier III students at all three schools. 2005-

Curriculum Mapping: UAS: Currently meeting weekly with five grade level teams to align standards,
assessment and instruction with Language Arts Common Core standards. UNO: Collaborated with K-8
teachers to implement weekly lesson plans based on quarterly curriculum maps. ACS: Supported three-
year curriculum mapping process using Atlas Rubicon. CMS: Member of a four person administrative
team that led development of grade level curriculum maps for PreK-5. 2003-2012
Educational Technology: CMS: Served one year as the Interim Academic Technology Director; team
member of the School Wide Academic Technology Team (SWAT Team); specialized in staff training
for MS Excel, MS Access, and Schoolmaster, a student database program; implemented flexible
scheduling to integrate technology and core curriculum goals in the CMS elementary. 2000-2005.
UbD Teacher Trainer: CMS: Attended a one week teacher-trainer course in Washington D.C sponsored by
the US Department of Education. Returned to offer staff development sessions over a two-year period.

Assessment: CMS: Chaired a K-12 team of teachers assigned to report findings and recommend
improvements for the school’s continued accreditation for SACS Accreditation; developed K-12
assessment database for analyzing student assessments in writing, reading, and standardized testing;
worked with the Director of Curriculum and Instruction to use database analysis for school
improvement. ACS, UNO, UAS: developed Excel worksheets for benchmarking all students and
progress monitoring Tier II & III students. 2001-2012.
Balanced Literacy: UAS: Currently leading staff development initiatives for guided reading, differentiated
instruction, and RtI based on Common Core State Standards. UNO: Led school wide initiative to
implement Daily Five instructional model. CMS: Member of administrative team that developed a long
rang plan for the school’s adoption of the Four Blocks Balanced Literacy Program. 2001-2012.
