• What are idiomatic expressions?
• Idiomatic expressions are used in
  communicating. Idiomatic
  expressions are useful when trying to
  convey a feeling or emotion. Some of
  them are funny and light hearted.
As white as a sheet
• What does it mean?

• Someone who is very white

• Example:
• Her legs are as white as a sheet.
He/she spilled the beans
• What does that mean?

• To tell a secret

• Example:
• Melissa spilled the beans and told our
  secret
Don´t have a cow
• What does it mean?

• Don´t get upset or angry

• Example:
• Don´t have a cow, it was just a joke.
…all ears
• What does it mean?

• To listen to someone

• Example:
• Talk to me, I´m all ears
Blind date
• What does it mean?

• To go on a date with someone you
  don´t know

• Example:
• Tonight is my blind date with Joe.
Black out
• What does it mean?

• To pass out

• Example:
• Call a doctor, she blacked out!!
Brown bag it
• What does it mean?
• To bring your own lunch to
  class/work

• Example:
• To save money, I brown bag it.
To have the blues
• What does it mean?

• To be sad or depressed

• Example:
• Sometimes I feel so blue.
Decked out in (something)
• What it means?

• To be dressed fancy

• Example:
• She´s decked out in a nice blouse
Have ants in your pants
• What does it mean?

• To be restless or nervous

• Example:
• Telma appears to have ants in her
  pants
Attracted to
• What does it mean?

To be physically attracted to someone

Example:
I am attracted to him, he´s great!
