The Truth About The Last Days, Antichrist, The Rapture, More.

Most people who look at the signs of the end times tend to focus on Matthew 24 where Jesus
gives a number of signs for the end. Now the problem with only focusing on this chapter is the fact
that the signs given in Matthew 24 have been happening for a long time. Ok, the intensity and
frequency of the signs are increasing, there is no doubt about that. But taken on their own, the
scoffers will just continue to ridicule the signs, saying that these things have been happening for
thousands of years. And in a way they are right.
Another problem arises when certain Christians proclaim dates for the second coming, like Harold
Camping proclaiming that the "rapture" (which in itself is a false teaching) will happen on May 21st
2011. These kind of people and false predictions just add fuel to the fire for the scoffers.
By the way, the Bible prophesied that there would be scoffers in the last days in 2 Peter 3:3,
saying "where is the promise of His (Jesus) coming?" So we can expect there to be scoffers no
matter what we say and show them.
So with these things in mind, in this article I am going to concentrate on another passage of
scripture that give us signs that we are living in the end times. And that passage is found in 2
Timothy 3:1-5.
2 Timothy 3:1-5....'This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be
lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents,
unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce,
despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers
of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.'
As you can see it says that in the last days perilous times shall come. Are we living in perilous
times? Natural disasters, wars, crime, economic trouble, animals dying, wildfires, extreme
weather, terrorism. I think these signs show we are certainly living in perilous times.
How about the rest of the scripture above? The signs given for the last days are; men shall be
lovers of themselves, covetous, boastful, proud, blasphemers, disobedient, unthankful, unholy,
without natural affection (homosexual), fierce, despisers of those who are good, lovers of pleasure
more than God, and having a form of Godliness only, but not living Godly lives.
We are now living in an age where ALL of these signs are being fulfilled. Go back just 50 years
and many of these end time signs in 2 Timothy would NOT have been fulfilled, because people
back then were much more respectful and didn't have such a wicked attitude as described in the
above Bible verses. Now something that interests me about these signs is that many of them have
even entered the churches! Just look at the number of churches now accepting active homosexual

2. people, and even in leadership positions. And I would say that the majority of professing Christians
are now "lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God". We are certainly living in a time of earth's
history like no other before.
Now if you put these end time signs from 2 Timothy together with the signs from Matthew 24, then
we have real tangible evidence that we are living in the end times. But will people see this? Sadly,
many people won't, because they are too caught up in this world, enjoying life to be bothered
about it. And the Bible prophesied that people would be like this in the end times in Matthew
24:37-39, where it says that as in the days of Noah, so will the coming of Jesus be. People will
carry on eating, drinking, marrying, etc. In other words, they will carry on with life as normal and
not prepare for the second coming, just as the world did not prepare for the flood.
So it is my firm belief that if you look at ALL the signs of the end times from the Bible and not just
the signs from Matthew 24, then you will see that our generation is living in the last days of earth's
history. So let's not just say "oh there are more earthquakes now, we must be living in the end
times". Instead, let's put all the end time signs together and show the world we are a generation
like no other before.
