The document summarizes a test of Techplast antifoul coating on a panel suspended in Fremantle Boat Harbour, Western Australia. Sections of the front of the panel were lightly wiped at weekly, monthly, and 3-monthly intervals to simulate different vessel movement frequencies, while the rear was untouched to show fouling buildup. Photos show the panel over time with less fouling where wiped. The test continues to evaluate the coating's performance at reducing marine fouling with varying degrees of vessel use.
1. Techplast Antifoul Coating
A short power point presentation showing a “Techplast
Antifoul Coating” test panel series conducted at Fremantle
Boat Harbour, Perth, Western Australia.
The test panel was suspended from a jetty and periodically
inspected. Sections of the front of the panel were lightly wiped
at weekly, monthly and 3 monthly intervals (to simulate
different frequencies of vessel movement). The rear of the
panel was not touched and was used to demonstrate uncoated
fouling rates/types.
The test panel series continues and this presentation will be
periodically updated.
