2. Basic Plot
When two scientists think they have finished the
completion of a ground-breaking new drug, the drug is
tested by one of the Scientists to record its affects on the
body and to analyse its overall effectiveness. Once taken,
the scientist succumbs to a maddening state as the drug
consumes his brain turning him into this being of insanity.
Taking on this state, his fellow scientist is imprisoned in
the houses' garage and left to die. He needs to escape,
and with his escape save his embittered friend.
3. Casting
Professor Ted - Suffers personality change after trying a
new, revolutionary drug. This new found state causes him
to entrap his friend and colleague Professor Steve in an
underground garage.
Professor Steve - Warns Ted against trying drug, is barred
in underground garage, and becomes Ted’s prisoner with
his fate uncertain…
Detective/ Police Officer? – Possibly a police officer who
becomes suspicious of goings on at house, and goes
about investigating. What will he find?

5. Location
Garage - Provides a dark setting in which to create this
eerie atmosphere, limited light and gives a private, easily
accessible place to film.
There are tools in the garage which connotes this working
environment.
Adjacent street, looking across at garage, sense of
mystery as a result.
6. Camera Shots
Close-ups - Specific focus on characters and important
mise-en-scene, elements that have an important
connotation if the trailer was a full length film.
POV - Sense of awareness at setting, put into perspective
for the audience.
Medium Shots – Shots where it is a medium distance to a
piece of mise-en-scene or character.
7. Sounds
Eerie sound effects (synchronous sound), sense of fear
and uncertainty for the audience.
Use of silence at times, don’t know what is happening
next.
Sharp Sounds. Jumpy feel to it.
