2. Financial-services leader Ted Wernham,
president of Wernham Wealth Management Inc.,
in London, Ontario, Canada, served as director of
the Canadian Initiative for Elder Planning Studies
(CIEPS), an organization he still supports. The
initiative adds to the knowledge and
understanding of attorneys, accountants, financial
and insurance advisors, real estate agents, and
other professionals who work with people aged 50
and older. As a financial advisor, Ted Wernham
recognizes the importance of receiving relevant
educational content that addresses the unique
needs of the aging population.
3. Offered in partnership with Ashton College in
Vancouver, the CIEPS Elder Planning Counseling
program provides the first elder-education
designation in Canada, EPC, which Ted
Wernham holds. The coursework covers a range
of topics affecting seniors, including long-term
care, chronic conditions, nutrition and fitness, and
elder fraud and abuse. Developed by industry
experts, the program also enables caregivers to
aid the elderly in planning for their future care.
