2. Our Topics Our Group wanted to look into the different types of terrorism around the world. Our topics consist of September 11th 2001, The Daniel Pearl Decapitation Case, and Water boarding. America has been affected by terrorism many times, our worst one being 9/11. Daniel Pearl was an American Citizen that lost his life because of terrorism, Water boarding is a type of torture used to get the truth from terrorist.
4. 9/11’s Question: Why do Radical Muslims want to kill American people? The Radical Muslims were upset because we were taking over there Holy Land. We were plundering the riches on the Arabian Peninsula. The US was dictating its rulers, humiliating the people. The Anger built up and they planned an Attack. The Master Mind of this plan was Osama Bin Biden. In 1996 Bin Laden demanded that there be no more troops in Saudi Arabia. He demanded again in 1988. In a statement, it says that it is every Muslim’s duty to kill Americans everywhere. According to Wikipedia, “Bin Laden elaborated on this theme in his "Letter to America" of October 2002: "You are the worst civilization witnessed by the history of mankind: You are the nation who, rather than ruling by the Shariah of Allah in its Constitution and Laws, choose to invent your own laws as you will and desire. You separate religion from your policies, contradicting the pure nature which affirms Absolute Authority to the Lord and your Creator."

7. Who? Who caused it? Radical Muslims. Osama Bin Laden and his terroristic group Al-Qadea Who was effected? Innocent American People United States Afghanistan was also affected because after the attacks, the United States declared war on Afghanistan and Osama Bin Laden.
8. What? Terroristic Attacks on the Twin Towers. September 11th, 2001 is a day when a group of suicide bombers hijacked US airliners and used them as bombs. Two of the planes crashed into the twin towers, another plane crashed into the pentagon, a fourth plan crashed in a field in Pennsylvania, it was headed towards the White House. Many lives were lost in this attack.

13. Important Information According to the Terrorism Almanac, The hijacked planes hit the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and a field in Pennsylvania. The plane that hit the field in Pennsylvania was said to be forced down by passengers, they prevented the White House from being hit. A year after the bombings, Bin Laden was no where to be found.
19. Daniel Pearl was an American citizen working as a journalist in Washington, DC. He was on his way to an interview with a supposed terrorist leader when he was kidnapped. He was later decapitated. Introduction to Daniel Pearl
20. Who? Daniel Pearl 38 year old Jewish American journalist was sent to go work for The Wall Street Journal then over in Pakistan. He was kidnapped and tortured by Islamic militant terrorists.
21. What? He was sent to Pakistan for a investigation on the Richard Reid known as the shoe bomber. He was immediately captured and beheaded. by Islamic militant terrorists.
22. When? February 1st 2002 His death was confirmed on February 21 after a videotape showing his execution was received by American officials.
23. Where? Karachi, Pakistan This city is a very chaotic and busy city, so no disturbance would have been noticed from the killing, or capture for that matter, of Daniel Pearl.

27. What? Water boarding is a form of torture in which someone is laid on their back and their head is inclined downwards. Water is then poured over the face into the breathing passages. Waterboarding causes the victim to experience the feeling of drowning. According to Wikipedia, Waterboarding can cause extreme pain. Dry drowning damage to lungs, brain damage from oxygen deprivation other physical injuries including broken bones due to struggling against restraints, lasting psychological damage or, if uninterrupted, death. Three of the detainees from September 11, 2001 had been subjected to waterboarding. The waterboarding of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed provided information about an unrealized terrorist attack on Los Angeles. The administration of George W. Bush legal opinions that argued for a narrow definition of torture under U.S. Law. In January 2009 President Obama banned the use of waterboarding
30. Views on Waterboarding Pros Waterboarding protects us in knowing that we will know about future terrorist attacks. We can save lives at the cost of none. Were “getting revenge” on those who tried to hurtus Cons Just because its not as bad as other methods of torture doesn’t make it right The constitution says no cruel and unusual punishment Waterboarding can be considered inhumane . Our group agrees that that waterboarding should be used Waterboarding could save lives by getting the truth out of people before something tragic comes along.
31. There are many different views on waterboarding. Some think its justice, some think its inhumane. Its banned now, but it could easily come back.
32. Conclusion Terrorism is still around today. Recently in New York City, another terroristic attack was attempted but stopped. A suicide bomber drove an SUV with a bomb inside the middle of Time Square. If this wouldn’t have been stopped, many people would have lost their lives. Also in America, many people have been caught for working with other countries, they are known as Jihads(Jihad Jane). We the people of America need to pull together and do something to stop terrorism.
