This article explains how the amount of female soldiers in the army is proudly increasing. It also shows how the number of casualties of female soldiers is also sky-rocketing. It also explains the numerous cases of sexual harassment that have been shown. Meichelbock, Melia. E-mail interview. 22 Apr. 2010. This interview helped me fully understand how the army can affect people. It gave me an honest opinion of war. I learned a lot about how people cope with the aftermath of the army and how they get ready for it. I was explained how people create bonds with the people in the army. Also, I found out some example of real sexism that Melia Meichelbock experienced. - - -. “Interview with Iraq War Veteran and Author Melia Meichelbock.” Interview by Josh Marks. BrooWaha. N.p., 9 Apr. 2008. Web. 9 Apr. 2008. <http://www.broowaha.com/articles/3411/interview-with-iraq-war-veteran-and-author-melia-meichelbock>. This interview was done by Josh Marks and I loved it so much, I decided to interview the same person. From this interview, I learned the inequality that was present in the army and this interview helped me decide which topic I was going to choose. It explains the army in a personal view of a female soldier that has been there. Sanders, Melissa. “Sexism in the Military — What the Army Brochures Wont Tell You.” Socialist Alternative 1 July 2005: n. pag. Socialist Alternative. Web. 1 July 2005. <http://www.socialistalternative.org/news/article16.php?id=70>. This article explains the cons of the army, which most pamphlets and brochures don’t show. It explains how sexism in the army affects people and backs it up with true mindblowing statistics. It explains that sexism is embedded in the army where no one would dare get any suspicion. It has some examples of how women are tormented and exposed to this sexism. Wallace, Kelly. “Eye to Eye: Women Soldiers.” CBS News. Web. 19 June 2008. <http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=4197684n>. This videos shows some opinions of female veterans. They explain their experiences with Kelly Wallace. They also discuss how healthcare is different for women soldiers. Basically, this video explains what it’s like to be a female soldier on a battlefield.
