Duties include lead jointer/supervisor up to 132kv cables and providing support for jointers on higher cables.
As a team we are responsible for constructing and maintaining both oil filled and XLPE cables for Faults
and Services, and Contract work. Working completing high voltage cables work on a variety of different
projects with different clients/companies in a wide range of environments. The varied projects worked on
include completing varied voltage requirements and constructing diverse ranges of joints for projects on the
railways, substation and high pressure pipe systems. Off shore work includes The Links project; repairing
132kv subsea cables and the Baltic 2 project; pulling cable, terminating and VLF testing ready to hand back
to client. Gained experience working within a team, as an individual and as a team leader. Responsible
for implementing/following Health and Safety and quality regulations and procedures throughout works.
Experienced in completing site records, daily interfacing with the clients, local authorities and general public
and working under different disciplines.
