Is your Twitter Proﬁle ready?
1. Need more than one post.
2. Don’t repeat the same post.
3. Avoid words and phrases like:
Listen Here, Watch This, Buy My CD, etc.
4. Intriguing Bio.
5. Link to your website.
6. Proﬁle picture.
7. Engage!

• Update your Twitter feed on its own, apart from

Unlink any Facebook-Twitter auto-posting



Find Fans of Similar Bands

• Twitter Search is one of your most valuable tools!
• Do your fans also like BandXXX? Then use twitter
search to ﬁnd who’s talking right now to BandXXX!
• How? Search: “@BandXXX”
• Shazaam!



Use & Abuse
Lists & Saved Searches

• Create multiple Twitter Lists of potential inﬂuencers
(uber fans and potential industry peeps)
• Create multiple Saved Searches to easily repeat your
search for similar leads in the future

Entertainment Papers
‘Contact’ Pages for New
Tweeps to Follow
• Find them, List ‘em... and Engage!
• (not just once either... create an ongoing relationship,
make them know you!)



Engage!

• Twitter is ALL about conversations. NOT about selling
or promoting or spamming people to listen to your
music.
• Create new relationships!
• Intrigue fans & industry with your personality
• Pull them in so they want to click on your links

• Funny always wins online
• Share photos, videos, other band’s music, interesting
articles relevant to your community

There is actually a very fast and easy way to do this clean up. Michael uses a
website called untweeps.com and Brian uses manageﬂitter.com.

Buffer App, Hootsuite, Tweetdeck
bufferapp.com makes it simple to share and schedule the sharing of content you
ﬁnd online. Desktop & Mobile apps to help you manage your Twitter account.

Mobile Apps:
Foursquare, Instagram, Soundcloud, YouTube, Viddy, Spotify, Rdio, Get Glue, etc.



Monitor Your Band
1. Visit Twitter.com and log in.
2. In the search box near the top type in the search
term… your band name, brand, your company name,
the product name, your personal name, etc.
3. The search will return a list of all Tweets containing
your search term.
4. Click the Save this Search button
Now whenever you are on your Twitter home page just click on the Searches drop down and select the search
you just saved. You will get a updated page of all Tweets with your search term. This a very simple way to see
who is talking about you and what they are saying.

Get into a conversation with those that are talking about you and follow them.
