Tigers have a lifespan of 10-15 years in the wild, but can live longer than 20 years in captivity. Tiger are biggest of all cats. There are 6 different kinds of tigers.
Lions I like lions because their kings of the jungle. The hair on a male lion's head is called a mane. Lions live in groups called prides. The females do most of the hunting for food. Lions live for about 15 years in the wild. Two species of lion, the Barbary lion (which was the largest of all the lions) and the Cape lion have become extinct.
Snow leopards I like snow leopards because their so white and cute. But their endangered. Snow leopards eat any meat they find. They have grey and white fur and striped tails. They often kill animals three times their size. A Snow Leopard has really large paws to help them walk on snow.
Monkeys I like monkeys because they swing everywhere. One of the facts about monkeys is that they are very intelligent. Monkeys are extremely strong, even small spider monkeys. There are about 125 species of monkeys. A group of monkeys is called a troop of monkeys. Did you know that when monkeys yawn its sometimes because their tired or mad? Chimpanzees, gorillas and orangutans all catch colds but monkeys don’t.

Some penguins live in Antarctica, Coast of South America, South Africa, Galapagos, Southern Australia and New Zealand. Penguins hunt for fish, squid or shrimp like krill in the oceans to fill their stomach. Most penguins can swim about 15 miles per hour. There are at least 18 different species of penguins.
Polar bears Polar bears are the largest land meat-eater in the world and the largest of the bear family. They are well suited to the cold Arctic ice and snow. Polar bears have a great sense of smell. They can smell dead whales and seals from 20 miles away. On a clear day a polar bear's nose can be seen from six miles away with a pair of binoculars.
Arctic foxes Arctic foxes live in Arctic regions of Europe, Asia, and North America. The arctic fox has fur on the bottom of its feet to protect it from the cold and keep frost out of their feet while digging. Arctic foxes walk along on top of the snow listening for the small creatures under the snow. When they hear one they jump up and down to break through the snow with their front paws. Once the snow is broken they can grab their prey.
