1. Directions This template is designed as a guide for your final project. It includes the minimum information that is required. Feel free to be creative! Include photos, video, etc. to tell your story. After completing all of your slides, you need to narrate the presentation. Use your slides as a guide while YOU tell the story. After you finish narrating, upload to http://www.slideshare.net/ and post the link in the ASSIGNMENT section of your course under Teachers in Action Service Project. This is a lengthy process. Do NOT wait until the last minute. Your project MUST be narrated and uploaded by the deadline. In addition to submitting it for course credit, you might share your completed project with the agency or group with whom you worked or upload to the serve.gov website.
3. Early Perceptions On this slide sum up your thoughts/feelings going into the service-learning project. Add this content after completing the “Understanding Differences” module on the Teachers in Action site! You can use any image on the slide and narrate your reflection. Does not have to be written.
4. Introduction to the Setting This section should present the agency, school, community, etc. Students will present this information visually in the form of photos (with descriptive captions). If multiple sites are visited, the student should include sample from multiple sites or focus on the environment where the most hours were completed.

Site Demographics Use this page for visual representations only Provide photos of primary individuals (be sure to get permission before taking any pictures; anything on website is public domain and can be used). Use “mood shots” that don’t include a person’s face if necessary! Bullets, charts, graphs, and pictures (only with permission) can be effective in delivering this information.
6. Personal Demographics This section should present a brief bit of information about yourself! Let us know your interests, experience, etc. as you so choose. Bullets, charts, graphs, and pictures (only with permission) can be effective in delivering this information.
7. Engagement Activities This section lists and describes the types of activities in which the UCF student was engaged, how often, and with whom. Photos of the UCF student engaging in the described activities should be included. Feel free to add a slide here to about how you got started or connected? If you started the project yourself, tell us how you did it!
8. Participant Demographics This section should present the participants (e.g., age range, ethnic backgrounds, linguistic heritages, exceptionalities) with whom the student served. Bullets, charts, graphs, and pictures (only with permission) can be effective in delivering this information. Please let us know how many people were served from your service hours (e.g., 10, 30, 1000!??)
9. Reflection of your Experience How has this experience effected you What experiences had the most impact What will you take away from the experience Address on this slide and the next slide how your academic learning, approaches to teaching, and insights into working with persons with special needs were impacted through these experiences. Video reflections and audio are great for this!
10. Make sure you use slide themes in your presentation! Be as creative as you wish! Make this a personal reflection of yourself and your experience!
