One of the great benefits for him was making many contacts, which have helped him
throughout his career. He says his mentors also helped him decide which colleges were best
for the career he was interested in.
From the businessperson's perspective, the internship program gives a chance to help shape
future business leaders.
Kim Court, assistant marketing director at Orlando Fashion Square, has been participating in
the program for less than a year, but says she feels great satisfaction in being a part of it.
"I would absolutely recommend this program to other businesses," says Court. "There is such
satisfaction in knowing that your business is directly involved in the education and
development of a future leader in the Orlando community."
Echoes Absolutely Wireless CEO Tina Holden, who has one of the students interning at
her business: "It has been neat watching her determination because she reminds me a
lot of myself at her age. I only wish I had something like this program around when I
was young."
