PRODDEC is a technical organization at CEC that was established in 1995 to integrate technical ideas and develop engineering products. Its vision is to provide practical training to students to apply their theoretical knowledge. The organization's main departments include hardware development, software development, multimedia, and public relations. Some of PRODDEC's achievements include developing products for the college, participating in technical competitions and festivals, and providing technical support for college events. Future plans include developing more products for the college, industrial visits, robotics programs, workshops, and restarting their annual magazine.

In its endeavor the organization is always open to suggestions, constructive criticism and moral support.

Achievements Conducted Project exhibitions and provided technical support for various national level technical festivals (Summit,Elixir,..etc) through years Participated and won many prizes in national level technical festivals , including in IIT’s and NIT’s Provided technical support for many of the events held in the campus including CAMPION Designed and developed “Automated Traffic light system” to be implemented in Chengannur

Implemented “Automated admission procedure” Participated and presented technical papers in several national level conferences ( PyCon,Yahoo Open Hack ..etc ) Active forum for technical informations and guidance for students Two members ( Jerry & Linda ) won 1st prize (worth 1 lakh) in the state level technical competition “ManoramaYuva Master Mind” for their project ‘Walking stick for the blind’

Future Plans Implementation phase of “GEEK’s ARENA” To design and develop different types of products for the college campus which includes Automated college bell Electronic notice board Digital clock in the main block Automatic pumping system IVRS system which will provide information regarding student performance and attendance

Conduct an Industrial Visit to a reputed organization in Kerala to improve the industrial & implementation knowledge Encouragement and guidance for participating in national level tech fests throughout India Providing funds for the innovative ideas and their implementation Programs to learn and build Robotic applications which includes line tracers ,micro mouse..etc Plans to conduct different seminars and workshops to uplift technical implementation level Restart PRODDEC annual magazine “Breakthrough” and monthly newsletter from this year onwards
