The student used various media technologies throughout the different stages of their Advanced Portfolio project. During research and planning, they used their smartphone for communication, internet browsing, maps, and taking location photos. They edited footage and created transitions using Adobe Premiere Pro. Photoshop was used to design packaging and advertisements. During evaluation, they continued blogging and used social media to gather audience feedback.

1. Q4 - How did you use media technologies in the construction, research, planning and evaluation stages of your Advanced Portfolio.

7. I created an alternate home screen on my phone in order to have quick access to any tools I would need whilst producing our music video. I used these applications to communicate with my group members I used the phones music player to play the song for our performers to sing to. I used these applications to take location stills, record test clips and then view them on the phone. I used these applications to conduct research and update my progress on the music video. Polaris Office allowed me to view Microsoft Office files that I had produced on the computer. I used these applications to keep track of our shooting schedule and check weather conditions to see if they would be appropriate for filming.

10. To film our video we used a Panasonic N-GS500 video camera along with a SONY tripod. We connected this camera to the Apple Mac using a Fire wire. Construction We used a Velbon DV7000 Tripod to keep the video camera steady whilst filming our music video. It also allowed us to pan the camera smoothly.
