Marcy Recumbent Mag Cycle
1. Marcy Recumbent Mag Cycle
This is one bike that fills the gap between reliable, functional recumbent bikes and low cost
affordable ones. The Marcy Recumbent Mag Cycle is a compact bike that’s very affordable. It
has 8 pre-set resistance levels but you can manually adjust these by simply turning the tension
knob and this means you can customize your workout to suit your needs.
The bike has a large display console that allows users to keep track of speed, time, distance as
well as calories burned. It is a very ergonomically designed bike and the manufacturers claim
that users can set the seat to their preferred position very easily. The seat offers great support
for anyone who suffers with back pain and is useful for people who are recovering from any sort
of injury.
This all sounds a little too good to be true, so is the Marcy Recumbent Mag Cycle as good as
the manufacturers claim it is?

The Pros of the Marcy Recumbent Mag Cycle:
If you suffer from any sort of back pain or joint aches, this is a very comfortable bike to exercise
1/3
2. on. There is a nice open step through frame which makes this one bike that is easy to get on
and off, even if you have limited movement. The design has two handlebars located below the
seat and this gives the user a feeling of security and stability when they are in the sitting
position. You can adjust the seat, which is great for an exercise bike in this price bracket.
Whether you are large or small, the seat is very comfortable to sit on and the pedals make the
experience that much better too offering a smooth ride all round.
With plenty of expensive bikes around that don’t offer the ease of mounting and dismounting,
this model is definitely one of the more comfortable ones around today. If you do suffer from any
severe back pain, you might want to look at a more expensive model that offers a full back
support and bucket seat, otherwise this model could be your perfect choice of exercise bikes.
Another definite advantage, is the ease with which you can assemble this bike, especially as
other exercise bikes in the same price range tend to be quite hard to put together. The
assembly instructions are clear and well explained even though there are a lot of parts to put
together, it just not feel that hard to do. This is because all the parts fit together very well and
really easily. You could assemble the bike on your own with no trouble at all, although it would
be even quicker if two people do it.
The bike is very lightweight, weighing in at about 66 lbs. However, unlike other cheaper bikes,
this one is robust and the bike remains sturdy and solid, so it does not give users the impression
of being a low cost exercise bike at all.
When you exercise on the bike, it remains stable with no evidence of swaying, which is a great
plus point and shows just how well the bike is made. It is a lightweight bike that has been built
out of top quality materials.
The Cons of the Marcy Recumbent Mag Cycle:
The resistance levels can be manually adjusted with the tension knob. However, the first level is
easy but the 8th level is not. Although good, there is a problem because the Marcy
Recumbent’s resistance levels are very limited. When you reach the 8th level, you should be
able to go another 4 to 5 levels.
The bike has been designed for people who want to take gentle exercise, so the resistance
levels have been installed accordingly. If there were more functionality, with more challenging
levels for people who needed them, then this bike could have been even more popular.
Another downside is the dated looking control display panel which ends up leaving users
frustrated. The bike is a low end cost one, but a better LED contrast display would have
improved the bike tremendously.
Is The Marcy Recumbent Mag Cycle Value For Money?
2/3
3. For anyone who is serious about their training, this is not the bike for them. It is a great value for
money exercise bike, there is no doubt about that, and it will last for many years. It is the ideal
choice for anyone suffering from back pain and who has a limited amount of movement. What
lets the bike down is it’s lack of resistance levels and this is what makes it one bike that can’t
compete with other bikes there. However, just because it might not suit you personally, this
does not mean it is not a very good indoor exercise bike to buy.Copyright allfastweightloss.com
